Private Exiled Daughters, Fallen Kings

Shukur Kyr'bes Tavern: The Broken Skull tavern is probably one of the more famous haunts of the Enclave's famous Karjr. Large but also small in a sense, the tavern can serve many and always has access to a variety of liquors from across the galaxy. The food isn't great, but the ne'tra gal is strong, and at the end of the day that is all that really matters.

Gwyneira Craft shivered as she stepped into the tavern from the outside. Kestri was quite cold, even underground, and even wearing winter clothes. Gwyn pulled her buy'ce off and tucked it under her arm. She stepped into the tavern, where two Vod were arm wrestling in the corner with a small crowd cheering for either which side. Gwyn paused at the sight before rolling her eyes and walking over to the counter.

She adjusted the pack on her back and nodded to the waiter, hair in her face, "Su cuy'gar, vod. Just coffee, thanks. With lotsa Ryloth Vanilla creamer."

Gwyn gently placed the coin on the wide, long wooden counter and sat in an equally rustic seat. She set her buy'ce down with the upmost gentleness, as if handling a priceless piece of art. She then set the sack down and pulled the equipment, mechanical parts, and computing devices out that she had bought from the marketplace down the road.

This entire part of town had an ancient, rustic, cabin like feel to it. The roaring fireplaces, wood and bone carvings, and beskads hung on display on the walls were great testimonies to that. Gwyn was less focused on that though, than on the project before her. She sorted through the random objects she had bought. Trash to those who did not know better, but treasure to the mechanic and engineer Gwyneira was.

As the sweet coffee was set before her, Gwyn took a sip of the hot, soothing beverage. As the crowd cheered in the background over a won arm wrestling match, Gwyn gritted her teeth in annoyance and jealousy as she focused even deeper on her sorting job.

The Shukur Kyr'bes Tavern, a familiar haunt of Alara's. The rustic aesthetic, warmth of the roaring fires and a crowd of familiar faces. Alara could describe it as a feeling of home in a way. Well, as much as anything could feel like a home to her. For the past several years she had been planet hoping, scarcely staying in one place for long. Ever since she ran away as a child she could never really find a place that felt like home. Until she ended up on Kestri, more specifically the Shukur Kyr'bes.

Like home, she had her usual spot she liked to sit in and watch the crowds. Close to a roaring fireplace, but not quite in its warming light. She leaned back in her seat against a large bone of some massive animal, feet propped up on a stool made from a single piece of wood. A dark blue poncho was draped across her matching armor. Beneath the visor of her buy'ce, she silently watched the arm wrestling competition. The excitement that drew the crowd wasn't really there for her, instead her mind was replaying all the information she had recently received from a contact of hers. Even still, everything in the galaxy seemed to distant to worry about right now.

Movement by the tavern caught her attention. A new face, one she wasn't familiar with. She was a few years younger than herself, and looked as though she was carrying everything she owned with her. Alara watched as the young woman sat at the counter and order a drink, then begin to sort through a variety of objects before her. Even from where she sat, Alara could see the woman trying to block out the crowd around as watched her grit her teeth in annoyance.

Alara wouldn't say that the woman was out of place, but that she didn't seem to like the boisterous crowd. Which made a tavern as active as this an odd place to stop to sort through...whatever it was she had. Alara rose from her spot and made her way towards the woman. As she got closer, she could see she wasn't just sorting but working on something. She stopped a few paces behind Gwyneira Vizsla Gwyneira Vizsla . Alara hadn't removed her buy'ce, she saw no real need for it right now. "Watcha working on kid?" Her dusty sounding voice asked.

Through the Force, Gwyn could tell someone was approaching. Who? Another someone so high and mighty, likely to tell her she was not good enough? She sat up a bit straighter, turning around to see a fellow vod approaching.

When asked the question, she raised an eyebrow. Kid? Gwyneira was eighteen, legally an adult on most worlds! Not to mention, being in an active relationship, owning her own home, having lived her entire life fending for herself, going to college... Gwyneira was very much a grown up, at least in her own eyes.

She turned to look at the vod, tilting her head. Despite being called kid, she sensed through her voice that this Mandalorian was genuinely curious. She reached back and pulled a tiny piece of technology off, showing it to the young woman.

"This little chip here is a Slicer's Key, a unique computer chip used in slicing. One of many random pieces of technology, equipment, and the likes I found in the marketplace down the road from here. I'm just sorting through everything I bought, keeping tabs, stuff like that."

She placed the chip on the counter and took something else. She held it up, "Like this. This is a duplex circuit. This component is a crucial part of shield generators. They can't work without them! And," Gwyn placed that down and picked up one more thing, "This is an actuating module. It can be added to a blaster to increase its power, but it increases recoil as well."

Gwyn paused. She realized she had just gone in a massive tangent to a total stranger. She leaned away from her, chuckling nervously and tugging at her winter coat neck. "Erm, so yeah. Heh."

Alara listened to what the younger woman said. Although, to be honest, most of it went over her head. Technology wasn't her strong suit, sure she knew how to use a majority of it, just not how a lot of it worked. The girl in fron of her though had a definite grasp on it.

The Mando gave a small chuckle when Gwyneira Vizsla Gwyneira Vizsla finished with her explanation. "I think I understood about half of that, mostly the part at the end." She could tell Gwyn was nervous by the way she tugged at her coat. She set down beside the other woman and pulled of her buy'ce and set it on the counter. A few loose strands off hair escaped into her scarred face, only to be wrangled back in place behind her ear. "So I'm safe to assume that you're big into tech?"
