ESHAN | ESTATE

Eshan was always a certain dream destination for the cyborg. Back when she was still a young agent, when she was still flesh and blood, she had plans to learn the Echani way and to explore the homeworld of the warrior people. Many years had passed since then, but the dream became reality and Xan finally set foot on the planet. Between her own memory and what she could find on the Holonet, there was a common overlap between them and the Mandalorians.

Sadly it wasn't a social visit.

There would be time to have her fun, but before that she had work to do. According to a few reports, one of the Sith big dogs was nothing less than the queen of Eshan. She wasn't a concern to the cyborg. What Xan was after could potentially tip the scales of the Galactic scene. The Force presided in all living things, the Demon presided everywhere else... but the real power in the galaxy was charisma and knowledge. If she could extract useful data from the Queen's personal records and offer it to the right people, there was a genuine chance of making a difference she failed to make years ago.

The Demon stood out on the strange planet. Her neon appearance drew many eyes as she wandered the streets and got to know her surroundings. Between her looks and her usual confidence, moving around wasn't an issue. A target was settled upon, the "vacation home" of the Queen wasn't too far away and, according to what little she could find, she wasn't in the neighbourhood. The estate was scoped out, cameras and security foiled, until the time finally came for Xan to make her move. Her approach was slow and steep, but she eventually made her way inside the grand villa. Her first order of business was to find whatever intel she could nab... but one look around the place did an excellent job of resurfacing old habits.

With her usual neon complexion muted, the Demon used the moonlit night to her advantage to quietly move around the estate in search of her score and whatever valuables she could fit in her pockets. For all of her surveillance and technical prowess, she had no eyes on the inside of the building. She was going in blind, as much as she hated it, but it wasn't anything new to her.

It wasn't like her host was home, after all. As long as security didn't spot her, she had free reign...

While the intruder assumed no one was inside, Quinn was carefully washing the mask off her face. She had decided tonight would be a quiet night alone, when she could indulge in some holofilms and skincare.

Water splashed gently against her face as she scrubbed the sweet-smelling clay mask from her face. She could feel the softness and natural plumpness to her cheeks as she continued to peel away. It only took a few minutes longer, and cold water splashed to close and reduce the size of her pores.

"312!" Quinn called out as she kept her eyes closed to keep any water out.

When the guard didn't answer, Quinn remembered she had given the woman the night off. She had tortured her enough with the terrible romantic comedies she had been binging the last few weeks.

Quinn cursed under her breath and padded around for one of the soft towels. It only took a few moments, but she was soon wiping down her face and patting on some light lotion to help keep every bit of her skin smooth. The evening had been quiet, thankfully, and Quinn was able to spoil herself with a bath and a deep facial treatment.

With all of that done, she stood in front of her mirror, made a few kissy duck faces, and smiled. She held the towel tightly around her small frame.

Her feet slipped comfortably into a pair of pink porg slippers, and she made her way towards the kitchen. As she took a step, there was a subtle squeak with each slipper. Something that brought a little curl to her lips as she continued on her way to get some fresh snacks for her binge-watching evening.

Tonight was a double feature of "You've Got Holomail" and "Sleepless on Coruscant"; both were terrible, but great romantic comedies. Quinn hummed along as she finally crossed the large living room into the open kitchen. Lights flickered on as she began to search for snacks; it was in that moment that she stopped and looked around.

Something felt out of place, and as if she wasn't really alone.

Carefully, she opened the bag of chips, took one out, and ate it. Her eyes still watched the dark room that was near the kitchen. She didn't make any shape out, and she was far too lazy to try and use the Force to scan the room.

Instead, she grabbed a bowl and poured some of the chips out, still watching.

"Hello?" Quinn did her best to quietly roll the bag of chips back up… no one wanted stale chips the next day or later on.

"312? Is that you? I know you have no idea what a day off is, but I'm serious!"

She stomped her little porg slipper, and the little guy squeaked a horrid wale.

"Go home please!"

Of all the beings in the galaxy, Xan was one of the very few that could truly claim to "jump out of her skin" at any point. When a voice from deeper in the estate echoed through the building, Xan nearly lost connection with her body. Her intel was garbage, she was blind and isolated in the house of a Sith of all people. She liked her chances in a fight, but certain adversaries in some moments were simply beyond her physical capability.

This was one such moment.

With x-ray vision cutting through the walls, Xan scrambled to find a place to hide as the Queen closed in on the living room. With little time and precious little enclosed space, Xan took her chances and jumped.

When the lights came on, the Demon huddled in the corner of the kitchen between the cupboards and ceiling with her breath held. At first she considered dropping down to knock her out, the woman before her didn't strike her as an elegant noble, but the facial recognition didn't lie. Clearly she had stumbled into the house at a rather inappropriate time if the slippers and choice of attire was any indication. Xan had to direct her laughter to another body on the other side of the galaxy in an effort of maintaining her secrecy. Her mind scrambled to think of a way to escape, some kind of distraction to quickly draw her host away. A few devices were picked up in the building, but nothing in the immediate vicinity to draw her away.

All she could do was stay huddled in the corner of the room, out of sight, and wait for the Queen to move on. Or it would have been the plan... if a faint squeak didn't emit from below her feet. In any other situation, such a sound would have gone unnoticed or even blended in with other noise.

But in the quiet house with her host clearly alert, Xan prepared for a fight. She waited for the Queen to turn before making her move. Neons lit up the room in a near-blinding wave of colour while her form flew through the air toward the open space. Her forearms split open and her mantis blades jutted forth in preparation while she backed away, anxiously looking for an exit.

"Wrong house." She quipped with a false smile behind her mask. She needed to move.
