Every Which Way but Ruusan (Techno Union Dominion of Ruusan)

vWJd8P7l.jpg

Near the southern tip of Galactic Republic space and on the western side of the Hutt Cartel, lies a planet called Ruusan with three moons and a heavy dark side presence since the loss of Republic control. Explore this temperate world and help the Techno Union establish a presence be it for good or evil. As pictured, Ruusan is home to a species called Bouncers. Kind of weird looking, right? What exactly are they? Are they intelligent? Edible? Team up with your fellow Unioners to see if they hold valuable secrets... or possibly, they just fly around and look cute.

Objective A: Valley of the Jedi
The Obsidian Order and any others will go into the Valley of the Jedi, where we will cleanse remnants of the Prophets of the Dark Side that has taken refuge there since the loss of Republic Control. This will not only secure arguably the most powerful Force Nexus in existence for the Obsidian Order, but it is also being mandated by the Archon Darth Vulkan as vital to prevent others from tampering with the most holy site.

Objective B: Establish Malevolence Presence in Olmondo
On the flipside, the much cooler and more attractive Dark Side Cult of Malevolence plans to take root in the Ruusan capital, Olmondo. Help them if you aren't afraid of cannibalism, human sacrifice, slave abductions, all-night spice binges… I mean what? There’s none of that stuff going on here!

Objective C: Hands Across the Galaxy
Since Tmoxin Temi's Hands Across the Galaxy concert for Dave was such a success, she is extending the Hands Across the Galaxy idea to Ruusan. Encouraging all technobility, bureaucrats and executives to do their part, this newly formed aid organization will dispense food to the poor of Ruusan while they smile for the holocameras, or go about building a school or library for underprivileged children.

Additional Objectives
- Establish mining operations for Kallisto Mining Corporation for access to Ruusan crystals.
- Explore one of the three moons of Ruusan that supposedly has remnants of an ancient civilization.
- There is a Jedi Academy there already. Take it over and turn it into anything - a business, a criminal organization, a palace, a casino.
- Do your own thing, develop or build a structure for the Techno Union, explore, or just hang-out.

Ruusan, the world sacred to the Jedi for a million reasons, and a thousand spirits. Long ago the Sith and the Jedi had their wars on the Planet, and now the discovery, investigation, and Vulkan's own plots and plans. Vulkan's armor was on, and he sat in the lounge of his shuttle, helmet sitting next to him. Even as the ship touched down, Vulkan could feel the power of this planet.

He turned his attention to the Twi'lek beside him, her green skin smooth and clean. Somewhere on this ship there was a bodysuit for her, to offer some minor protection for the Force Sensitive slave girl. He wrapped his armored hand around hers and touched her forehead with his, a sign of affection among Mandalorians. Vulkan worried about bringing her out, but she liked to accompany him. "Are you feeling alright, Sarad'ika?" He asked, showing a little concern for her in his eyes as he stayed close to her, head touching hers.

The other members of the Obsidian Order should be arriving soon to assist with the discovery of the site, and then with their help Vulkan and the Obsidian Order could study the place, perhaps further.

The YT-2400 light freighter skimmed across the surface of the world below.

Through the broad windows of the cockpit, the decrepit settlement known as Fort Nowhere could be seen as a bump along the contour of the terrain below. Reaching out with one hand, the adolescent Anzat manipulated the controls to adjust the Corellian ship's trim through the atmosphere. Ahead, a scar seemed ripped through the surface of the very planet. Though, as the ship grew closer, it became apparent that there were massive statues lined up about the edges of this crevice in the earth.

They had the likeness of Jedi Knights. Stone guardians, behemoth monoliths facing outward as though to challenge would-be raiders of the tomb with their rocky lightsabers.

Circling over the valley, the tawny haired boy spared a passing glance for the ancient structures still standing in the midst of the mausoleum that had been erected in memory of Lord Hoth even against the wishes of the great Jedi Council. Who, as always, denied the very same attachments upon which the Jedi Order functioned. Strange, how the same ideals said to be self-less were instead so self-serving.

Sor-Jan loved his master. And, even more so, the padawan that he had raised from youngling to adulthood. And he knew that his master had felt the same way toward him. Master and Apprentice in the Old Republic had been much more like parent and child. Yet, such emotion was vilified. Attachment was forbidden.

Was the Jedi Council so blind as to have been oblivious to the obvious faults in suppressing such powerful emotion? It was what made them human. Even when they, like Sor-Jan, were anything but.

Angling the Alderaan Queen downward, the boy skirted across the top of the left side of the mountain ridge which shielded and enclosed one side of the great valley below. The wash from the vessel's repulsorlifts blasted away years of sand and dust, revealing duracrete. Faded markings revealed the existence of a landing pad at some point in the planet's history. Echos of some kind of installation that had been there somewhere along the way. He'd discovered evidence of it when he'd visited Ruusan earlier. And now, with the Techno Union coming to survey the world, the time was ripe for a more thorough archaeological excavation.

The question was, when? Did it pre-date the Jedi ruins? Or had it been erected into the rock to watch over the memorial? Or had it been one of the Sith fortifications which Lord Hoth had done battle against?

Or was it a remainder of some earlier conflict? A forgotten history of a galaxy far older than any of them.

The Queen settled on it's landing struts, the release of pressurized gases kicking up a dust storm about the ship that enshrouded the environment in a fog. The sound of magnetic clamps being released heralded the sudden light breaking through the dust in the air, as the loading ramp came down to reveal a young boy. As per his norm, he wasn't dressed as a Jedi. Instead, he wore Corellian attire, with the pants decorated in the yellow piping of the distinctive bloodstripe. A dark jacket was dressed over a white shirt. Only the lightsaber hanging off his belt gave evidence of his status or training in the Force.

He didn't reach for that now. Instead, his hand went down to the nickel-plated blaster on his thigh. Drawing the pistol out of the holster as he came down the ramp, the boy paused to look through the thinning dust. "Everyone remember where we parked," the boy deadpanned lightly, even as his thumb flicked off the safety on the weapon.

A small, spherical probe droid slid from out of the ship, ghosting through the air. With a nod, the boy signaled for the droid to inform the Archon ([member="Darth Vulkan"]) that his landing team had arrived on the ridge above the valley. And, with that, the boy set out to explore for indications of an entrance or entry into what seemed a structure that extended down into the rock.

Crix gently eased [member="Toby Meriet"] down onto the bed they shared. It had been a week since they had seen [member="Thais Kallisto"] off at auction, It seemed however the the buildup of tension over the time they'd suffered thais had floored Toby in the wake of his fresh new freedom. Toby had looked weary since they set off from Isis and then his love had started showing signs of a headache. sensitivity to light, a strong helping of pain present in his gaze and of course the fact that he kept clutching his head. As such and despite Toby's objections, crix had dimmed the lights in the bedroom and helped Toby back to bed. "There we are sweetie " He soothed as he lay toby back into a mountain of cushions. tucking the covers around Toby crix crept away to fetch a bowl of chilled water and a flannel. returning to sit at his side.

One hand sat softly on toby's shoulder as the other ran across his love's brow, gently brushing Toby's hair out of his face with a pitied smile "My poor boy" Crix continued to soothe Toby's head until the man fell asleep and indeed for some minutes after. Then he acquiesced to the need to get to work, it was after all why he had come to Ruusan instead of staying on Isis where he could nurse his poor Toby properly. Alas he needed to make money somehow. Once he was finally satisfied that his T was sleeping Crix snuck back out of the room.

Begrudgingly he made his way to the surface with a team of very boring looking surveyors. Only one man remained who might be able to make things better. His blue, Cryax Bane. Chiss, Governor .... naughty slave . Whilst they descended Crix sent a message to his chiss :
Hello, Blue
Wanna play slave while I look for a new place for a mine?
Or if you're not up for submission we could play somthing different.

Seela knew this day would come, and actually she had always imagined it would be quite sooner than today. Her Force sensitivity was strong but uncultivated. However, she knew that Draco would want to train her as his standing as ArmaTech CEO, former Techno Union Foreman and Mandalorian Sith Lord put him in danger every day. There would come a time when she would have to defend herself, despite the endless amounts of guards and droids he had surrounding them.

The loyal Twi'lek was nervous, but as he pressed his forehead to hers, she said, "I'm feeling fine and don't worry, Lar Foh. I will do my best to make you proud today." She patted his armored hand and rose to get dressed into the training suit. As she walked into the changing room on the ship, she glanced over her shoulder and gave him a wink. She knew how he liked to watch her as she came and went, especially her long lekku as it trailed down her green-skinned back.

Once in the changing room, she put on the bodyglove, which was form-fitting but not overly so. Seela looked at herself in the mirror and a smile crept to her face. She was going to be a real padawan now. How lucky you are, Seela!

"Jid geo tann ji lordiru nilid go xairjan," she said aloud in Ryl and went back out to accompany Draco, eager to begin the expedition.

The temperate climate of Ruusan blew in from the boarding ramp as it lowered to the ground and Vulkan sat aboard the ship, or Draco. Sometimes it was hard for the Mandalorian Sith to tell around Seela, she was different and she made him question his choices. One of the voices in his head screamed she was his next victim, the next thing he would lose for having been foolish and becoming attached to the Twi'lek, urging him to cut her down and make his sacrifice complete, abandon all others in a quest to simply butcher everything. The other voices, even the one that was Vulkan had decided against such action. Vulkan sought comfort in her while she lasted, but wouldn't mourn her loss. And Draco saw hope for the future, and as he saw hope in Seela, he saw hope for Abigail.

His grey eyes followed her as she went from the room to change, and had he had the time he would have followed her. Vulkan barely caught her wink from the corner of his eye as he studied her backside intently, as though he would be tested on it when she returned. The Sith lord stood after she left and cracked his neck before picking the helmet up and cradling it in his arm. Shield and axes on his back, heavy mace left aboard the ship. He had an Obsidian Order lightsaber on his belt for her should she need it, but without having trained her at all, he was not prepared to hand it to her unless she absolutely needed it. What if she hurt herself with it? His stomach winced as Vulkan remembered the feeling of being impaled. It was not something the man would allow to happen to her if he could help it.

He heard he speak in the changing room, but her voice was too low for him to hear properly. He could just feel her contentedness through the Force. That was good, it made Vulkan swell, pleased with himself and his circumstances. She was kind of aware of his mental state, but probably unaware how fractured the man who owned her truly was. He enjoyed knowing she was happy with him though, it reassured him in ways he didn't quite understand. When she returned, wearing the form-fitting bodyglove, his mind blanked for a moment as he just looked at her. It took him a moment to speak, "Sei vida, indeed." He said, smiling down at her with grey eyes, red rings faded and thin.

"Come, my apprentices are milling around the site, we should go join them." He said, stopping in front of her and leaning down to kiss her glossy lips, hands moving to rest on her hips to hold her gently, eyes closing, and heart slowing. After a second, he turned away to leave the ship and enter the forests around the Valley of the Jedi.

What was slicer and galactic scourge, Cryax Bane, doing on Ruusan? What he did best. Infesting it with criminals. With the planet falling out of the hands of the Republic, some of its major cities had fallen into disrepair. The Nar Shaddaa gangs that had sworn allegiance to Bane were currently on the streets of Ruusan, looting, shaking down business, and terrorizing the population. The Chiss himself? He was simply enjoying his freedom from the One Sith and reveling in the perks that came with being an infamous galactic criminal: spice, whores, and piles and piles of credits.

Cryax knew kark all about actually constructing a mine, but he knew a feth-ton about setting up a fail safe security system for a mine. The security systems in the old Red Ravens Isotope Five mines on Makeb used to be some of the hardest slicest in the galaxy. I mean not to toot his own horn, but beep-beep. So when Crix Meriet's message came through his ARCs, Bane perked up. Let's face it, it was mostly because the Isis slaver's message asked him if he wanted to "play slave." He instantly returned Crix's message, informing him that he was on his way to the location, then gave his boyfriend Malcom a kiss on the cheek, and told him a little white lie to placate him while he catted around.

From out of the dust, [member="Acaleus Thorn"] appeared.

That seemed to confirm that the Archon was, indeed, focusing the resources of the Obsidian Order on taking control of the Force nexus below them. An interesting quandary. Was the Force nexus something meant to be possessed? Was it something capable of being owned, studied, or controlled? Or was it something so supernatural that it ought be left alone? Or even destroyed?

Would it even be possible to destroy such a thing?

In the hands of a Jedi, such a power could only corrupt. In the hands of a Sith, such corruption could only spawn great suffering. And, yet, could not such a power not offer some salvation? Perhaps take some of the edge off his hunger?

Bah. He was brooding. Thorn mentioned guards. "Perhaps an alternative entrance is in order," the young Anzat offered cryptically. A slow pass of his hand shifted the sands at his feet, revealing metal. More to the point, revealing a seam. Kneeling down, the boy studied the break in the metal for a moment. Too straight, too perfect to be the result of seismic activity.

They were standing on some kind of platform.

No... an elevator. A cargo lift most likely.

Closing his eyes, the young Jedi moved both hands as he allowed his mind to probe down beneath the earth and rock. Durasteel and carbon fiber were definitely present, along with a void.

There was a large room or chamber beneath them.

Twirling the blaster on the trigger guard, the boy eased the pistol back into the holster on his thigh. Then, grabbing the lightsaber from his belt, ignited the storm blue blade. Sparks arced up into the air, as the youth plunged the confined plasma into the ground. A broad sweep of his arm created a burning circle, the middle of which fell inward.

Stretching out his hand, the youth grabbed the falling chuck of metal with the Force, pulling it up and depositing it quietly on the ground as he returned the lightsaber to his hip. Through the smoking hole in the ground, a black void of the unknown loomed ominously as it descended into the rock. "Going down?" the boy quipped dryly, as he turned back toward the ship in order to fetch some climbing gear.

If Thorn was looking for a fight, Sor-Jan wouldn't stop the man from taking on the guards at the gate of the Temple below. But the Jedi Consular was doing what Jedi Consulars did best. Which was graverobbing.

Jedi just preferred the term 'archaeology' instead.

The Coyohttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/76088-the-coyo-tie-fight’ceptor/ swooped down out of the clouds, the cockpit’s white panorama clearing almost instantly to reveal a rolling vista of Ruusan farmland. Gazing out from its place upon the pilot’s bandolier, the little protocol droid gasped in awe. This was not the Ruusan that L3P0 had encountered long ago, before the Gulag Virus, before it was lost then found again. Ruusan had been undergoing massive terraforming operations back then to undo the damage of previous dominions, and it had worked. This was in spite of the intervention of L3P0’s creator, Darth Pugn, who had tricked the inhabitants of one Ruusan terraforming facility into blowing themselves up. L3P0 had unwittingly played a part in that deception, saying the wrong thing at the right time. The droid had returned to Ruusan to make amends.

This began with the deception of the ship’s Jawa pilot, a descendant of Darth Pugn. For Junker Pugn this was simply an adventure. He also let out a gasp as the vast green plains came into view. He hadn’t been long away from his brown and battered planet but if his ancestor was any guide then the joy of discovery might never fade for him. He tapped the droid on his bandolier and asked in Jawaese, << Where. >>

L3P0 knew some of the things that motivated the fifteen year old Jawa. It would not be the search for a Jedi valley. << Spare parts. >> L3P0 exuded the Jawa scent for invention. << Mountain. >>

Junker Pugn steered the starfighter towards the hills just as large green spheres drifted close enough to see. They had eyes, but they were no creature that L3P0 had ever seen. They were too high in the sky to be kites. << Oo… tini! >> Pugn had seen them too. The jawa’s mounting excitement had the feral tang of bantha leather.

<< No. No. No. >>, tried L3P0. But Junker Pugn swerved to intercept.

Crix smiled at the quick return of his message. It was nice to have such an enthusiastic response to his message. He was however unsurprised Crix was irresistible and he had Cryax eating out of the palm of his hand, perhaps he ought to ask Cryax to become his official mistress. Of course if he did that Toby might object to Crix having a full on mistress, then of course there was the small matter of Cryax's boyfriend too . Hmm perhaps not. Crix sent back a quick reply acknowledging his enthusiasm the put his data pad away.

They soon landed and the surveyors scurried off, to survey Crix supposed. Crix hoped to be surveying soon too. Likely a far bluer thing than the Ruusan mine though. Crix had much to tell Cryax, the last time Crix and his blue boy had rendezvoused Crix had been a quivering wreck but he was a king now. Infact Thais's new slave chains had barely been fitted when Crix set about having her jewels remade for himself. He'd emptied her wardrobe too all her dresses recut into shirts and the like for Crix and Toby. His ensemble today had been made from the fabric of her wedding dress. It was more maroon now though to mask the blood stains. Just so that nobody forgot he was the boss he also had a crown resting crookedly over his auburn locks.

Crix watched his staff get busy then draped himself over the nearest rock ... now it was time to wait ... Crix hated waiting.

The Techno Union dropship followed soon after the others with their personal transports. Though the Obsidian Order was the Techno Union's most elite force, a majority of TU forces were battle droids. Ek had been assigned to command a regiment of 2000 droids. He was to deploy the regiment as a perimeter force to secure the area while he and his fellow Obsidians went in and wiped out any remaining Cultists from the valley and explored the ruins. Though a Neophyte, Ek Griz was ambitious and hoped to rise to full Obsidian knight quickly, and so he accepted the mantle of leadership of the droid forces. Ek switched on the comm in his mask. "Archon, I am arriving at the site with our droid forces. I will secure the perimeter and clean up any Cultists found then join you shortly." Ek switched to Savant Sor-Jan's channel "Sir, I am arriving now and will set up a ring of our forces around the valley, let me know if you and Acaleus need assistance." The TU dropships deposited units all around the valley. Ek's ship dropped he and his unit at the high end of the valley. Ek's black, white trimmed sleeveless robe flapped in the wind and the white hair on the top of his head whipped back. His gold bionic eye scanned the land for any infrared heat signatures. Ek jumped the remaining 30ft to the ground. "All units, this is Commander Griz. All flanking units, set up artillery on the high points on either side of the valley. Units posted at the low end of the valley, set up a blockade. Any and all cultists will be herded toward you. Do not let any escape. Engage with extreme prejudice. Units 7 and 8, with me. We sweep down into the valley until we rendezvous with the Archon. Units 9 and 10 remain here and eliminate any Cultists that may sneak past us."

"Roger Roger, Commander."

Ek and his two units pressed forward into the valley. All scanners set to infrared to see through the trees.

The duracord rope quickly vanished into the shadowy abyss.

Checking the anchor point on the ground, the boy gave the line a hard pull to test the security of the hook-up. He'd forgotten how much he hated this adventure-type stuff. Jumping into the unknown was rarely conducive to good health. In fact, wasn't this precisely why he hadn't thrown his lot in with the Jedi Sentinels as had been expected of him?

He dropped ten meters on the initial plunge through the opening that he'd made. Holding fast as he braked to halt his building momentum, and feeling a momentary vertigo slam into him as he swung freely on the rope in the vacant space. A series of echoing warbles and chirps marked the descent of the probe droid, floating autonomously by virtue of its mini repulsors.

Sliding free, the boy dropped another ten meters straight down, before braking to slow his descent and then plunge again. There was only a hundred meters of cord, but his senses suggested there wasn't quite that far to go. And, indeed, he hit bottom at somewhere around sixty meters below the opening above. Boots settling onto metal well encrusted with dust.

Standing in pure darkness, the boy closed his eyes to see. He'd had a Miraluka student once, [member="Kaia Vullen"]. They'd studied telepathy together. The experience of being inside her head had given him insight into how she looked out at the world around him. How she perceived the Force. How she'd perceived him. It was a unique opportunity to approach the Force from the perspective of the blind. To see through her eyes, allow her to see though his.

All around him were the mechanical parts and equipment for operating a giant cargo lift. The elevator he'd rationalized as having existed from before. So there was some kind of facility within the mountain overlooking the Valley of the Jedi. Most curious. Now to venture inside and see what else might be here...

Drawing the blaster from out of its holster, the blind boy moved to further inspect the ruins of yesterday.

The last time the two men had a tete a tete, they were on Crix’s Nar Kreecha compound. Cryax had just been tortured by Darth Vornskr for the umpteenth time, and Crix was nervous about Princess Kallisto for some reason or another, he couldn’t remember exactly what. Details tended to get fuzzy when there was a gorgeous naked man underneath him.

Bane hailed a speeder taxi from a dump called Longstar’s and spent the entire ride, re-reading Crix’s message in anticipation. At this point there was probably about a 12% chance that Crix would actually get a security system for his mine.

But what he’d get? It would be so much better.

When the speeder taxi pulled up to the site, Cryax flung a pile of credits at the pilot and scrambled out of the vehicle. There, in all of his glory was Crix Meriet, the russet-haired devil himself. The handsome slaver was languishing on a rock, like a sexy...iguana? Whatever. Metaphors were hard.

"Ek hurry up!" he raised both of his arms and created a force shield, big enough to cover his body from the incoming bolts. He vanished his shield while turning on his wrist lightsaber "So you are trying to kill me?!" He jump forward, remembering the things he learned by himself fighting as a gladiator. Approach, evade, stab or cut as many time he could. The sound of the lightsaber cutting flesh, the hot of the bolts passing near his body, the screams of pain... Good luck it wasnt coming from him. Acaleus opened a path between the milita and entered the main hall.

Objective... Ooh floaty!

Junker Pugn swung The Coyohttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/76088-the-coyo-tie-fight’ceptor/ around to face the green sphere creatures head on. The droid passenger had not planned for this. L3P0 was just a protocol droid, with little understanding, and even less love, for non-sentient beings. They mate, and they eat. In this case they also flew, but since they had no external means of support they were probably inflatable.

That was a good thing. They clearly couldn’t eat the Coyo as they would fart about in the sky like a punctured balloon as soon as they opened a mouth. Mating was still a concern. The bubble critters did resemble TIE cockpits, at least in shape and size. But before L3P0 could extrapolate any further the Jawa pilot flicked off the safety on the forward laser cannons.

L3P0 felt a moment of relief followed by a sense of what might happen should they get too close to creatures that could explode.

<< Shoot! Shoot! >> They had to shoot now, at range. L3P0 flooded the cockpit with most of its essence of bantha leather to drive home the level of excitement needed right now. If they lived, L3P0 would no doubt have many chances to recoup the essence from the trigger-happy Jawa.

But Junker Pugn did not shoot. He stared remarkably motionless at the rapidly approaching bubble creature. Then he stunk of fear, with the sulfurous overtone that rendered a Jawa’s fear corporeal. Shareable. Junker Pugn whispered softly, almost too softly for anyone to hear. << Hello. >>

The bubble creature filled the viewports until Junker Pugn lunged forward at the last moment into the control stick, the upper cockpit striking the underside of the creature an eerily-silent glancing blow. The aural sensor tracked the creature’s ricochet high into the sky with an exaggerated Doppler ‘whoosh’.

The ship was now descending fast. L3P0 still had no idea what was going on. “What…”, L3P0 stopped itself speaking Galactic Basic the Jawa would not understand. << No. Shoot. Hello. >> L3P0 embellished its Jawaese with the saccharine and salt of its utter uncertainty.

Junker Pugn was silent for a little while before eventually pulling the craft level. << Enemy. Friend. She. >> The Jawa paused. It seemed there was now enough uncertainty in the air for both of them. << She. Bargain. Up. >> The Jawa bounced his lone fist up off his head as he spoke. Then he sat silent, the cockpit filling with a smell of earthy Jawa serenity that L3P0 had never before sensed from any Pugn. Living or dead.

The enemy - the creature - had bargained for what happened. It had spoken. Yet when L3P0 double-checked its short term memory the creature had not spoken at all.

Crix was not waiting long soon enough a Taxi pulled up. Crix rolled his head over to watched the speeder pull round. Smirking softly as his crown shifted, in truth he hated the crown, it was heavy on his head and it made his neck sore. normally Toby eased the pain on a nightly basis but it made it no less nice. Alas the message the crown sent was too powerful to be put aside because crix had a poorly neck.

His smirk softened to a grin as Cryax got out. "Cry" He called, sitting up alittle his hand drifting to his neck. Drinking the man in as he moved toward him "Lookie what the whore gave me right before I sold the schutta" He grinned pointing at the crown before returning to rub his own neck. When the man finally got within touching distance Crix reached for him with his free hand "I'm glad you came Beutiful "

He sighed softly as Cryax got close enough for Crix to take in his scent "Are you here to take me up on my offer to play slave Blue? or should we play a new game" He mused. hand finally drifting from his neck , he could play so many games with Cryax it was not as good as being at his home but they could still play, put Cryax in a disguise. The need for secrecy might heighten the fun. who didn't like secret games?

Seela promptly returned to Draco's intense gaze, which only filled her with pride at this point. She wasn't going to lie to herself - she was starting to enjoy the attention from him. All of this was so novel and intriguing, but she was determined to not be overwhelmed by her new circumstances. And the Mandalorian seemed to be trying his best to make her feel at ease.

The red rings around his eyes didn't cause alarm in the Twi'lek. She just didn't know any better. All of this Force stuff was completely new to her as well. Draco was her owner, and she would learn the ways of the Force from him, and since he was a Sith Lord, she assumed it would be the darkside. And this was her only hesitation today. Seela supposed she could embrace the darkside of the Force, succumb to it as though a slow poision through her veins, but at what cost? She didn't care about her looks, but would it corrupt her soul? The Mando seemed kind to her and not corrupted at all. Don't think about this now, Seela, she told herself. It's far too distracting and there are lessons to be learned today.

Before the debarked, Draco's arm slipped around her waist and he brought the buxom Twi'lek in for a tender kiss, which she returned gratefully, draping a lekku over his shoulder. And though the moment was fleeting, it was not wasted. Seela felt emboldened by the embrace and confidently followed Draco out to the Valley. She could see other dropships landing in the distance, fellow Obsidian Order apprentices making a beeline to the abandoned Sith Base.

Vulkan appreciated Seela's returned affection, probably more than she knew. It had been a long time since he had trusted anyone with real emotions, real affection, and even longer since it had been returned and mutual. With Seela appropriately fawned over and treated with affection, Vulkan turned his attention to the mission at hand. His apprentices were making land fall and working their way in the estimated direction of the Valley of the Jedi. While Vulkan had taken his sweet time getting ready and spending time with his Twi'lek, they had immediately went for the Valley, and he could feel them moving around near by the site. The forests gave way to the landscape around the valley leaving almost a kilometer of open space between them and the open mouth of the Force Nexus, which radiated with strength and power strongly, blurring event the Sith Lord's precise senses in the Force. "Can you feel it Sarad'ika? The Force in this place?" He asked quietly, his voice still filled with affection as he walked with the Twi'lek in the direction of the entrance to the Valley.

Eons ago the Brotherhood of Darkness had died here, trapping countless Jedi and Sith spirits in the valley. Even long after they had been dealt with, the valley was still a place of extreme power in the Force, and probably always would be considering the almost two thousand years since its creation that had passed. "All Obsidian's check in. We should go in as a group to investigate the site." Where they all where was a mystery to Vulkan, but he had the one that mattered to him by his side, albeit she was unarmed. Vulkan had considered bringing along a few of his old knights for assistance, but had settled against such notions. Now, he hoped that the acolytes, initiates in the Order were enough to keep his precious cargo safe. It would not be well to enter with several apprentices and exit with none.

The Valley of the Jedi, despite its name had a long history of being abused by Dark Side cults. A history Vulkan didn't want repeated, but he also didn't want the place left open to others when the Obsidians could be studying it, learning from it. Perhaps here, Seela would realize how powerful she was and decide on a path that was right for her. Vulkan couldn't imagine her as Sith. She was too kind, and as a Sith she wouldn't be the same being that made him question himself and his choices. Decisions and regrets again. So long as he had a flutter of a conscience, Vulkan would always be plagued by such thoughts, such woes.

Objective: A (Secure the Valley of the Jedi)
Location: Ruins of abandoned Sith Base overlooking the Valley of the Jedi
Arms & Equipment: NN-14 Blaster Pistol, Obsidian Lightsaber, HoloLink, VC probe droid

Judging by the isotope measurements of residual ion degradation, and the metallurgy composition of an older durasteel construction, initial impression of the interior dated it to between 2,000 and 1,000 years before the Battle of Yavin IV.

The young Jedi hadn't gone very far from where he'd dropped in from the rope, as study and analysis of the readings from the probe droid had stopped him within just a few feet as he oriented himself to the temporal period in which this facility had come into existence. Those dates were consistent with the New Sith Wars, which the memorial inside the Valley of the Jedi was meant to be representative of.

"..ll Obsid... check... go in... group to in... site."
The signal came in broken over the small speaker within the wrist link that the boy wore. No doubt the thickness of the walls were interfering with the fidelity of the carrier wave. Motioning with one hand, the boy moved the VC droid halfway between the floor and the hole in the ceiling, so that he could send a clear transmission back. "Savant Xantha," the boy answered, acknowledging the call.

This Obsidian Order business was still new to him. It took him a minute to recall the appropriate title.

He thought of mentioning the facility he'd uncovered, but in all likelihood he'd still be told to egress back out. The logical move was to consolidate their numbers and move in tandem, where their Force-imbued abilities could magnify and compensate for one another. Standing up, the boy reached out for the rope that rose sixty meters back up to the ceiling.

So much for the quiet and sedentary life of a Jedi Librarian. "On my way."
