Even Death Cannot Stop War {Enigma}

Shinju... hurt her? That was a big no-no in her book. "I will crush her. She will feel her bones break into a thousand pieces. And I will make sure that for once, she doesn't enjoy it." Ven growled before pulling Circe closer. She didn't want to lose her again. "And... if you insist, then I will take a bath. But only because you asked me to." So far it seemed like Savan was the only one capable of keeping Ven under control... How... interesting.

"Well if you're going to be my... Um..." Circe felt a bit woozy, shaking her head to get the cobwebs away before smiling. "We don't need to focus on Shinju right now. All we need to worry about is restoring you to your natural state. And to do so, we need to get you cleaned up. Understand that if you're going to be my bodyguard-cum-associate, you're going to need to be a high-class lady, regardless of your appearance, which means little to me - your soul is what's important."

The beast frowned. "I'm a warrior, not a frilly businesswoman. Fighting is what I do." And it was true. Ven would fight and kill for the Horde until there was no one left to kill. After that? Well, then she'd destroy them. Unless she got her mind back first. Though something tells me that would take quite awhile.

"So? You're working for Subach now, snookums." With that, she moved in and once more cuddled the hell out of the beast that was her former fiance. "Goddammit, I missed you so much... you and your oversized snuggles. Now, let's get you that bath, shall we?"

Bath time did not sound fun. Even with an attractive woman like Circe there to... help. Though oversized cuddles did sound nice. "I work for myself... and you." But mostly herself, at the moment. "Will the guards even let me out of this room? After I killed some of their kin?" Probably. With Circe there, not much could go wrong.

"The guards listen to me." She smiled, giving a soft chuckle. "You know, we could use sorcery to help restore your original appearance. Compact you a bit, make you look like you used to." She grinned, leading the head-sized hand to the nearest bathtub - which was actually just a large jacuzzi, the only thing Ven could currently sit in by herself. "I'm so happy you're alive."

Did she want to return to her original form?... Not necessarily. This version of her was so much stronger. She could protect those she loved, all while destroying those who stood in her way. Simple things like her appearance didn't matter anymore. Not in a time of chaos like this. "Even death cannot stop war. And in this form, I am war. I am chaos, hatred, and all those wondrous things. But for you, and only you, I am also peace. Protection. Love. Remember that little one. So if I ever forget, you may remind me, and all will be well once more." The mad merc smiled, gently caressing her love's cheek.

"Come now... Don't you want beauty as well as brawn? Sorcery can change your appearance, even make you truly female again, but it can't remove your muscles, or your strength in general. That I promise. Otherwise, well... you're almost like a super mutant of some sort." She frowned. "I love you, I really do... but it saddens me that you have no memory of being with me, nor of your former beauty."

But she did. She did remember flashes of her face, her body, her past. They weren't good memories. No, she remembered staring at the mirror, shirtless, squeezing her stomach with a frown. Spending hours trying to make her hair look decent for once. Days suffering through needles to adorn her skin. To try and be beautiful. People had never pinned her as one to care for her looks. That didn't mean kids had never teased her about her size. Doesn't mean she wasn't the odd one out in the locker rooms because of her surgery scars. None of what they thought meant anything. Ven had cared. Because sometimes people need more than rage to get going. Despair is a damn good replacement.
"Am I not... pleasing like this? My facial structure seems quite nice compared to the old, beaten up version." She sounded concerned. Worried that Circe might not like her this way. That she would be tossed aside, abandoned. But that left quickly. There wasn't enough humanity left to worry about such things.
Or maybe that's just her excuse.

"Well... If I may be honest, you aren't really physically attractive in this form. You're like a pirate freighter. Superb at what it does, but not that aesthetically appealing. Don't think though that aesthetics mean I don't love you and don't care about you - I just want you to feel good about how you looked. When you were alive, you always worried about your appearance, after all."

A pirate freighter?... Well, wasn't that the compliment of the year. More like the decade or century, really. It was enough to make Ven scowl. Not frown, scowl. "And if I have decided that I do not care this time around?" All worry had left her voice. This time her tone was rough around the edges. Borderline angry, in fact. She had to hold herself back. Her instincts were still as violent as ever. More so than before, if you can believe it. "If it pleases you, so be it. Just know that I care not for 'aesthetics'. Not anymore."

"Being dead seems to do that to people when they aren't fully brought back..." She turned her eyes away for a moment, looking at something else. "Nevertheless, It's not like I'm going to force you to do anything, though your obedience to me and me alone is... surprising. I assume you won't take orders from anyone else aside from me? Not even people close to me?"

That was better. The beast relaxed, leaning back slightly. Being angry at the only person she knew wouldn't be good. "So far you are the person I know. The only one here. Were I to meet another who was close to me before... well, I do not know what would happen. For now you are the only person who's words I will take into consideration. Everyone else may simply point, say kill, and run. I will kill what they showed me, then go after whatever else is still alive. Destruction is my fuel. You are what I will not burn." Ven didn't know it, but she'd she Ventasia Terana in a few months. And when they'd meet... Well, Circe wouldn't be the only one safe anymore.

"That's good to know." She paused. "I can give you the rest of your memories back, you know. There are ways to restore the lost memories of a washed soul. Sorcery among others. I suppose that's only if you want them, that is. Otherwise you and I can, you know, wait until you get a bit more clear before moving on with such a thing with potential for trauma."

It was an intriguing offer. But one she wanted to decline for now. "I will let them come as they wish. All at once would be to much. Waiting for them might let me know only the important info when I need it, instead of having a thousand images to sort through to find what I need. But now, let us focus on something more... positive. I remember a niece. Another Sekairo. Do you know how she is doing?" Odd for her to show concern. Maybe there is more of her old self than I had thought.

"Irene's doing fine. Or Ire'Rain as you'd probably know of her. She's taken an interest in another unconventional woman - Elani Zambrano, the illegitimate child of Kaine Zambrano, former Sith Emperor. I hear she's a feisty one, one particularly interested in rather abhorrent things. Only hearsay from what I've heard, of course." She smiled. "You may want to meet with her sometime."

She nodded. "Any other family members or other people I should know about? Siblings, cousins, ex-lovers, friends... offspring/spawnlings?" Leave it to Ven to call children spawnlings. At least she doesn't add an extra 'e' into that word.

"I prefer to call them womblets. Well, there's our son, Darren. He's doing fine. There's Dreya, she's adopted. As is Ire/Irene, but you already knew that... And Saera, my daughter with that fox-woman, Aynea." She smiled. "There are others in the family too, but right now, they aren't that important. Just me and you..." This was after all well before she and Ashe had grown closer.

Circe had been close with another?... A twang of jealousy hit Ven square in the chest. Panda (she had no idea why Savan had gained a new nickname) was hers. No one else's. "You aren't... still with Aynea, are you?... After all, it is just the two of us." Just like that she was blushing. The mad merc was blushing with an obviously large amount of envy. She didn't want to share her Panda.

"In your absence... Truthfully. I still love you dearly. Never forget that. But I've, well... I've somewhat grown to love Aynea as well. She has an unusually large amount of love for me too. And honestly..." She paused, unsure of what to say. "When you proposed to me, the reason I said no was because she had done the same. But I was torn between you, unwilling to break the hearts of either of you. So I said it wasn't time. I'm sorry, Ven..." She started crying, her arms wrapped around the enormous beast's waist.
