- Rolling - Like all droidekas, the ETL Droideka can transform into a wheel configuration at the cost of lowering it's shields to roll and travel at impressive speeds so it can redeploy quickly.
- Easy Redeployment - Due to it's inbuilt wheel configuration mode, the Droideka-series can redeploy itself quickly when the need arises.
- Shields - The Demiurge sports a protective energy shield when fully deployed, enabling the droideka to remain protected from enemy fire while firing.
- Reliance on Shields - The shields of a Droideka, while impressive, are also it's only main source of protection. If disabled, the unit becomes a lot more vulnerable if it cannot retreat. Physical objects rolling slowly enough can also pass through the shield, meaning one can dispatch the Droideka easily if they can roll a thermal detonator through it's shield, or sneak up outside it's field of vision and slip their weapon through the shield to shoot it.
Designed as an open market version of the Demiurge-series Destroyer Droid, the Droideka is near identical visually to the original model of Droideka once used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. As a small sacrifice to ensure ease of mass production, it's shields are slightly less effective against kinetic weaponry, but remain formidable against blasters.
