  • Name:
    • Eshadaar
    • Eshadaari [demonym]
    • Eshaari/’Daari [short/slang]
    • Es'hani [unofficial, derogatory]
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Chandaar
  • Average Lifespan: 320 years
  • Estimated Population: Planetary
  • Description: The Eshadaari are similar to humans at a glance, with two arms, two legs, and the sexes divided into male and female. Members of the Eshadaar are, however, distinct in a myriad of ways. Exhibited among themselves, the Eshadaar almost always have red or white hair, violet, silver, or gold colored eyes, and a pale complexion that ranges from fair, to chalk-white. They are also distinguished by their extra long life, not being considered to have reached their prime until at least 120. Likewise, most Eshadaar will not begin to show signs of aging until they hit around 270 years of age - maintaining a youthful complexion/glow throughout most of their lives.

  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 5’2’’ [ 1.6] to 6’7’’ [2.0]
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Pale/White
  • Hair color: White or red. In cases of cross breading, other colors may occur.
  • Distinctions:
    • Dense bone structure
    • Extra long life
    • Regenerative ability
    • Gold, Violet, or Silver eyes
  • Races:
  • Force Sensitivity: High
Strengths:
  • Aura Reading
  • Regenerative Ability
  • Astral Projection
  • Slightly Longer Life Span
  • High Metabolism
  • Telepathically Linked To Those in Their Bloodline
  • Dense Bone Structure
Weaknesses:
  • Blood-injury Phobia
    • Fainting at the sight of blood is slightly more common for Eshadaari than it is for most other human and near-human species. Believed to be a mutation of K’paur bloodlust.
  • Dietary Sensitivities and Allergies
    • Eshadaari are more likely to develop dairy and gluten sensitivities or allergies than most other human and near-human species. This likelihood is believed to be K’paur-linked.
  • Cold Urticaria
    • Eshadaari are, by a small margin, more likely to have cold urticaria (an allergy to cold) than most other human and near-human species. This ranges from hives, commonly, to anaphylactic shock in rare cases. Believed to be a K’paur-linked illness.
  • Predisposed to the Pull of the Dark Side
    • Due to the contribution of K’paur DNA in the evolution of the Eshadaari, Force Sensitive members of the species are predisposed to the pull of the Dark Side. Resisting the pull is commonly managed by Light Side training, a frequent meditation regimen, and meditation after exposure to the Dark Side.
  • Force Sickness
    • Eshadaari Force Sicknessis an illness caused by exposure to the Dark Side of the Force that affects non-force sensitive and force sensitive members of the species to different degrees.
      • Non-Force Sensitive: Due to the species ability to read auras, all Eshadaari are highly sensitive to Dark Side auras, and exposure comes with side effects. The severity is dependent on the strength of the Dark Side aura, and resolves after exposure ends, though how long this takes varies from person to person. Side effects can include:
        • Headache
        • Nausea
        • Vomiting
      • Force Sensitive: Due to the Dark Side pull felt by Force Sensitive Eshadaari, in addition to being highly sensitive to Dark Side auras, they are not only keenly aware of the Dark Side, but also experience the side-effects of exposure to a more significant degree than non-Force Sensitive members of the species. Again, this is dependent on the strength of the Dark Side in the area and it resolves after exposure ends, though how long this takes varies from person to person. Side effects can include:
      • Frequent or repeated exposure can have other effects for all Eshadaari, though these can develop after a single exposure, in some cases:
        • Boganophobia - A fear of the Dark Side.
        • Emetophobia - A fear of vomiting.
        • Asthenophobia - A fear of fainting.
        • Sickness-induced anxiety - caused by anticipation of the onset of the sickness, or the onset of the sickness itself. This can be so severe as to cause anxiety attacks, in some cases.
      • Force-Sensitive Eshadaari are somewhat more susceptible to developing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder than the general population. This greater susceptibility is caused solely by frequent or repeated exposure to the Dark Side, due to the repeated onset of more severe illness.
    • Treatment:
      • Eshadaari medicine has risen to provide treatment for this condition, but effectiveness of medications and therapies varies from person to person, and some cases prove to be treatment resistant.
    • Prevention:
      • Mental training and maintaining a regimen of meditation are believed by some to be effective means of prevention, at least of the more severe side effects, but there is no definitive proof. All evidence is anecdotal.

  • Diet: Omnivore
  • Communication: There are many different ways the Eshadaari communicate. With other species they tend to use Galactic Basic or High Galactic, but with those of their own species they rely on a mixture of body language, aura reading, and natural telepathy. The Eshadaari Dialect of Galactic Basic includes derivatives of some words of the extinct Kias language (the former native language of the K’paur) that the K’paur dialect still contains.
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard to Advanced
  • Religion/Beliefs: [ If this species has a prominent religion or set of beliefs, describe them here. ]
  • General behavior: [ Describe general behaviors such as: family life, values, how they raise their young, how they find mates, how they interact with the world and other species around them. Do they hunt? Do they build? Are they inventors? Are they explorers? Are they nocturnal or diurnal? Do they attend schools? Etc, etc. ]

[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]
