Epiphany

Bacta.

Also known as the miracle fluid.

Its mysterious properties was what drove Dagon to take the assignment on Thyferra. Resolving a conflict between two business parties regarding a recent concession. A normal job for a Jedi in the Galactic Alliance's New Jedi Order. Since that was finished, the padawan ventured forth to a jungle west of Xucphra City where a small abandoned settlement where members of the ancient Jal Shey Order supposedly once used. That information he had gotten from the library archives of the New Jedi Order. It was not something surprising considering they were nomadic by nature.

The path through the jungle was not safe, neither was it short. Numerous times he had to use the Force to calm various predators and escape dangerous situations. Midway from his destination, Dagon had found a small waterfall under which he went to meditate and restore his strength. He assumed he would possibly need it. Especially mental fortitude if there was anything to be found from the Jal Shey.

And there was.

His long hair was still wet and slightly dripped from time to time as he made his way through a long abandoned hut and what seemed to be a greenhouse. Time had taken its toll on it, yet the plants beneath prospered. The padawan dropped on one knee to inspect carefully what seemed to be fungi. Fungi it was, indeed. Xoorzi to be precise. A flora used as a medium to grow one of the two bacteria that made the bacta. Dagon grimaced - the fungi looked well despite the fact that it had a very fragile life. What the Jedi knew was that slight disturbances made the fungi wither. Dagon had previously seen that through this garden of fungi, animals had gone through which meant that the fungi should've withered. The padawan tapped the Force, it was the only thing that could give him any answers.

He felt it.

The Force ran through the fungi's core.

Crunch!

Micah scrunched his nose under the helm he wore and lifted a singular boot. Some sort of slime coated the underside of it. It was the color of a bright green Hutt booger and chock full of who knew what else. If [member="Kaili Talith"] had been here, she'd have been all kinds of grossed out. For Micah, he merely brought his boot up to a nearby root and scraped it off.

He and [member="Vexen"] were here to meet up with Shortstack - AKA Mara. Been a while since he saw her last, and he could still remember the expression on her face when she got to moving in and out of the Marrow & Illskin's shop he sold his little doodads and trinkets in. Now where could she be?

Last he heard, she and Nohei were hip to hip and doing all kinds of plotting. The stuff that would help her handle the sort of stress she'd inherited with her last name and family connections. He could respect that. He understood what it meant about living legacies and filling shoes.

Thankfully, his parents never wanted him to take on good ol Grandpay's footsteps. That Emperor of the Sith and all could be kept swept under the rug.

Bringing his hands up, the Talith took a few steps forward, stopping to unlatch the hooks of his helm. It gave a small hiss at the release, and with a tug he pulled it away, revealing a mop of shaggy brown hair, three days growth along that swarthy jaw, and eyes as bright as the Twin Suns. With a huff, a cloud of condensation blew out of his lips, eyes searching the small valley west of Xucphra City. He brought his helm down under his armpit, holding it steady while the other ran his fingers through his hair.

"Huh..."

He felt a chill there. Curious.

"Now what is that?"
