She didn't hate him, and he knew that. What she hated was how vulnerable their feelings made them. Xander was not used to it either. Yes he'd had other lovers in his past, but none whom had been so deeply connected to him. The fact she hit his arm in a playful manner only enforced the fact her true feelings were not hatred. Yet, he didn't attempt to say anytning defend himself. Instead he looked her in the eyes.

"I know. I'm sorry for scarring you. Scared myself pretty good too."

Xander stood to his feet and offered his arm to his brunette lover. His mind was focused on retrieving wine to quench his thirst and dull freight of his dormant force use. Two stemmed goblets were taken from the cupboard and the finest year Xander could find was poured into them. A deep Merlot, rich and earthy in flavor, was what his pallet wanted.

He had other appetites as well. Whereever one seemed to weak the body wanted certain things, and his body was yearning that of his lover's as well. He offered her the goblet with a smile, and offered a toast.

"New Beginnings, and a bright future."

She was at least glad he was in high spirits. He should’ve been resting, but here he was wanting wine. God, what was it with this guy? Sitara took his arm and took the wine, drinking its deep red liquid. She needed this, he had given her quite a scare after all. Her goblet clinked with his, and she took in a deep drink.

Just don’t scare me like that again, and we’re good, alright?

She chuckled, before setting the glass down. She wrapped one arm around his neck and tiptoed to plant a kiss on his lips. ‘You really had me worried. I don’t know what would’ve happened if you died.’ She wanted to say, she wanted to tell him, but the words didn’t want to leave her mouth. Instead, she smiled and licked his lips.

Mmmm. Alcohol.

She leaned into him, glad that at least things were normal for now. “Y’know, Xander. If you’re not feeling too weak, maybe we can spend some time playing dress up in your bedroom.

If only Xander could feel her through the force he would know she wanted to say in that moment. Instead she kissed him, licked his lips, and Xander smiled. Yes it was odd that he should be resting and now he wanted wine. Yes, he was not predictable. It wasn't that Xander was unaware of his temperment, but he was also free for the first time in a long time. Perhaps had the burden been Sitara's she would understand.

"I like this idea of playing dress up. Though I have a feeling I'm going to like the outcome of it even more."

Xander took a healthy drink of the wine and placed the cork back into the bottle of wine.

"I suppose I should not be getting drunk after what just happened. The medic would have a fit I think. There are a lot of things I feel, but freedom is the strongest. That fact alone gives me enough energy for whatever that imagination of yours can come up with."

Xander finished the wine and set it down. His lips pressed to Sitara's once again. He wanted so much to tell her he was happiest when he was with her. Life seemed most normal when they were together, but he dared not, not yet. Despite being free there were still uncertainties which plagued them both. Some which would inevitably force them to talk about their relationship. Until then, Xander wanted to enjoy what they had, long before labels were put on it.

"We've worked enough today. Now it's time for us play!"

Of course you shouldn’t get drunk yet.” She rolled her eyes as he finished his glass of wine and set it down. She finished her’s as well, she couldn’t allow such a good bottle of wine to go to waste. She smiled as he leaned over and kissed her, and she wrapped her arms around him. Life like this was wonderful and full of bliss. She didn’t have to worry about those stupid paintings nor did she have to worry about being sacrificed to some stupid amulet.

She only had to worry about getting him out of that frock of his.

Yes…Let’s.” She said, growling.

She grabbed his arm and lead him over to the bedroom where they began to play dress up… Or rather…Un-dress up.
