Enclaves First Spar

It had been a week or two since the Jedi had come to the planet of Deneba in hops of restoring the Jedi Enclave and turning it into the new home, after being evicted off of Yutan for some reason. She had joined the order a bit later and as such missed out on those event, but it seemed like a stroke of luck since the Sith attacked it anyways.

Today another force sensitive had joined the order, most likely hearing about the newly established order, on top of it they were a Twi'lek as well, and a Rylothian to boot. As such Tin'tinag had been assigned to welcome the new addition and show her around as well as test her skill in combat.

Though only a padawan Tin'tinag was a proficient Djem So duelist, having trained to use an electro staff from a young and, a light saber during her short time as a unwilling follower of Ren. Wearing her usual navy blue cloak the orange Twi'lek awauted the new arrival.

Phoenix would have been welcomed into the order with open arms, she would have been quickly shown to her room. After that she had been told to head to some place called the Enclave. She would quickly prepare herself along with her twin lightsabers she had made herself, she had trained up in the form of Jar'Kai mixed with parts of forms 2 3 and 4, she used a reverse grip.

The new arrival seemed young, no older then 16 from the look, as well as having a rather, eccentric taste for clothing, endless to say the new addition looked rather stunning, but that was not the point of today meeting. "You must be [member="Phoenix Paris"], It's nice to meet you" her Ryothian accent followed with a slight Lekku flick to accompany her greeting.

"From what I've heard you are a users of Jar'kai, not an way from to master, but a tricky one to defend against". "I am padawan Tin'Tnag, and I'll be showing you around the Enclave and new home of the Jedi order outside of the CAS... come". She beckoned the other Twi'lek to follow, "This place was once a major jedi temple before the One Sith wars, and now serves as the proper home for Jedi in the order to reside and learn outside of the Commoner alliance, it is also a place were Jedi form all Orders can come to delegate and what not, pesonally I not one for that, but will have to know about it once I'm elevated to knight status".

climbing the stair the two would come to an open area just outside the main entrance to the complex, still a little banged up from the war it suffered, but slightly fixed up. Tin'tinag walked to the opposite side of the area, taking the saber staff off her belt, "Lets see how skilled you are with your blade, this will determine your master".

Phoenix would take in the words that were spoken to her, she noted the accent that reminded her of home, sometimes she missed her home on Ryloth, but none the less she would smile at meeting a new friend she would then speak "It is very nice to meet you, as you have been told I am a practitioner of Jar'Kai, this place seems amazing" She said following her friend to the arena

As she removed her twin blades from her belt she would grip them in her normal reverse grip

"We will start with some simple katas and moves, feel free to switch up as things get more intense", she ignited her saber staff, the yellow blades illuminating her robes, being a stark contrast to its colour. Tin'tinag waited until her sparing partner got ready and started the duel with a few quick swing, one from left to right, one from right to left and a upwards horizontal one, before breaking off. it was always good to have a quick warm up before getting straight into things.

Phoenix would ignite both of her lightsabers one green one blue, cast a dim glow over her grey skin. She would block the swipes using both blades to hold her opponents single blade away from her, she would decide to start in the style of form III Soresu. This would give her good cover but then she would switch to form 2 where she would take a few precise slashes, one from left to right then one from right to left with the other blade while maintaining a crazy speed

Tintinag took a slight step back and used each different side of the saber staff to block and counter strike the incoming blades forcing them to take a wider arc around her body. She was fast using both blade for quick successive strikes, but lacking a lot of strength making them rather easy to counter strike. "you fast, and change up tactics for different attacks, perhaps you could form your own fighting style". Ting'tinag started of another attack, going for a pike thrust before swinging the other end of the blade upwards towards her center.

Phoenix would take her advice and would switch to form IV, a speed based form she would occupy her enemies blade with one blade and then perform a frontflip over her opponent landing on the other side and taking one of her blades and slashing at her enemy then spinning she would using both blades to strike out at her opponent

The combination of Ataru and Jak'ai was defiantly hard to deal with, even being good at Djem So such quick succession of attack and continues barrage made her effective in that from, the lightness of the attack making it hard to counter each strike. She parried the front blow before swinging in a wide arc to intercept the ones from behind, her past life as a smuggler making her use to such attacks and back stabbing.

She spun around in conjunction to [member="Phoenix Paris"], her individual sabers locking with each end of Tin'Ttinag's saber staff, "You have certainly been trained well". She pushed against the lock and her opponent, trying to drive them back, following up with form 1 move, spinning her blade around and attempting to get behind one of her sabers and wrench it from her hand.

Phoenix knew she wouldnt last long if this blade lock kept up, she wasn't strong enough so she must rely on her swiftness. As the blade was almost wrenched from her grip she would hit the power button and the sabers blade would disappear leaving the other girls saber suspended alone, as she did she would go for the victory shot she would press forward and thrust towards the womans midriff knowing it was unprotected, being as her saber was on stun the woman would be ok

She was impressed with the way she incorporated light-saber disengagement into the fight, something people using their type of sabers did often, it seemed that she had underestimated the your Twi'leks sparing ability. Such a move left Tin'tinag unable to properly defend against the incoming thrust, giving her a more then gentle zap to the chest, ending the due with the new padawan as the winner.

"You are certainly a skilled duelist [member="Phoenix Paris"], maybe I shouldn't have gone easy on you, haha, but it was a good duel, perhaps next time we will see how you incorporate force moves into your fighting". She clipped her saber back to its resting place as she approached the victorious padawan, "Perhaps Grand Master Arenies will train you since her is a users of Jar'Kai, but for now I think its time to carry on the tour, unless you want to go another round".

"I have been taught well and hope I shall be trained by the grand master. I think we should continue on with the tour." She said clipping her blades to her belt

"We will have to duel again some time, but resuming the tour would be good", Tin'tinag gave a slight nod to Paris before becoming her to following into the main complex. Other Jedi, both padawans and Knight walked around, doing their daily task and other duties, "We have several training rooms in the center of the Enclave, at the ground level, other facilities such as the mess and medical wing are here too". "Up next is the dorm and private chamber, I hear Master Alex has a small private garden or something to do with force embedded trees".

Some non Jedi personal walked past, carrying tools and equipment, "Still a lot of stuff to fix up, and I hear them talking about extending the hanger bay to make loading up the 'Yutans Legacy' easier, it serves as a mobile home and capital ship for the order, soo, any questions".

Phoenix would look about taking it all in, she was astounded. "Where will I be staying? Also the private garden sounds amazing" She said smiling brightly

"Yes the private garden was quite something, not sure about the whole story, something to do with a Sith as well and storing his power or sealing something away to prevent him from becoming strong". Tin though for a mintue on tha name of said Sith lord, "Kret I think their name was", She continued to lead Paris to a flight of stairs, reaching into the upper chambers, "Your room will be with the other Padawans while you are here, but seeing that Jedi Order is in league with the Commoner Systems Alliance due to our Grand Master being its leader, you will have free reign to any of the other sects in Alliance controlled space".
