Over the course of the Enbo's development, the idea was breached several times to move development into fully realized military application. In the end, the decision was made that the Enbo was not built for combat. Given the thing's capacity to protect and willingness to fight, clients might see this droid as an attempt to sequester contingents of battle droids within the workplace, but the true motivation comes from a much more vulnerable place.
When the Enbo first entered production, The Confederacy was entering its twilight. The Bando Gora cultist fleet had struck with immense ferocity at the sovereign nation, at the behest of the Unmaker. War had come to Sable Interplanetary. The company was unable to complete its preparations in time to make a difference in the conflict on a large scale- the desperate battle they fought was one for their own home planet.

- High-Density Gabonna Memory Bank- Unlike similar models of lifter droid, the Enbo is equipped with extensive memory storage, meaning routine wipes are less vital, and the droid can safely develop personality while not adversely impacting workplace efficiency.
- Limited Vocabulator- Also setting it apart from many Fifth Degree droids is the Enbo's ability to communicate in 3-5 word sentences. Though simplistic, the droid's straightforward outlook on life can be endearing.
- Hang On Tight- Dedicated footholds and rails along the Enbo's back and arms provide convenient places for a sentient to scramble up onto. As a stepladder or a means of transportation, every Enbo is happy to serve.
- Locked In, Going Nowhere- Each of the Enbo's feet are equipped with deployable industrial clamps designed to keep it from moving even under duress.
- Thick Skinned- This droid has been heat-treated and armored to withstand extreme workplace environments. In the hypothetical situation it was in a combat scenario, simple kinetic- or energy-based attacks wouldn't do much.
- Scalpel and Hammer- Though huge and imposing, the Enbo is equipped with tactile sensor banks in each of it's modular fingers, allowing the droid to perform limited fine-motor work as well as heavy lifting.
- Personable- Able to speak and possessed of a good memory, the Enbo will remember those it works with and is quick to form attachments/relationships.
- Protect the Asset- The Enbo is programmed to protect its master's/client's property as a high priority. The Enbo also ranks sentient beings and droids as possessing inherent value beyond a monetary sum. The consequence is this: in the event a disaster or an attack befalls an Enbo's workplace, the droid will immediately slam into a kind of search-and-rescue/self-defense mode. On the one hand, the Enbo is unarmed, not a battle droid, and incapable of most complex tactics. On the other hand, the thing is 12ft tall, accurate, and fast when it wants to be. Pirates beware.
- Won't Forget You- The Enbo often bonds with coworkers, but jobsites and teams change. The Enbo can become disheartened if a person it liked stops visiting, and this may impact workplace efficiency.
- Blue Screen of Death- Being a droid with little incorporated ion shielding and many exposed elements, uncontained ionic energy (an ion attack or similar accident,) will have devastating consequences.
- This is a Bigger Fish- The sheer weight and size of this droid means that there are many conceivable scenarios where its strength would be helpful, but not worth the risk its very presence on-site could pose.
