OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 31
  • Force Sensitivity: Knight
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: Roughly 5’8” with thick, jet black hair, major scaring on the right side of her face and both of her hands from force lightning, and golden eyes.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Emmalene Thul
  • Loyalties: Sith Empire (past), Warlords of the Sith (current)
  • Wealth: Head of a somewhat affluent Sith family, although her betrayal of the Empire has severed numerous ties that her family once had, although they retain their estate on the world of Carida.
  • Notable Possessions: Crossguard Lightsaber
  • Skills: Emmalene is adept at the art of force-lightning attacks.
  • Personality: At a young age Emmalene was an aloof person, stemming from the fact that she could manipulate the force and her brother could not. Lauded by her parents as the scion of her family because of this, she tried her entire life to be praised by her masters. She saw herself as gifted and superior to her fellow Sith acolytes. She was soon humbled by her masters and became disciplined, though not submissive. Discipline as a Sith turned to ambition to climb the hierarchy, and she learned to give up her extreme vanity for a tempered self-respect. However she still sees herself as superior to the non-force users she commands, whom she commands in the fierce and unforgiving fashion her masters once commanded her in.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Crossguard Lightsaber
  • Combat Function: Emmalene serves as the attached Sith Knight of the 3rd Battle Chapter of the Keepers. Her role as an attache is to protect the soldiers in combat and serve as a form of special trooper on the battlefield. Although not an official leader, she acts like one. This is tolerated by her brother, who calls the real shots, mostly due to her hardline view of the Sith Code that she aggressively drills into the soldiers.
Strengths:
  • Powerful Force Lightning: Although she struggled as a youth to learn the ability, resulting in the major scarring on her hands and face, she focused intensely on learning the ability of force lightning and became a very proficient user.
  • Relentless: Regardless of what puts her down, Emmalene will always strive to get back up.
Weaknesses:
  • Paranoia: After her defection to the Warlords she became increasingly paranoid of being caught and persecuted by the Empire, as well as the New Imperial Order who she reluctantly aids.
  • Superiority Complex: Emmalene is fanatically sure of the superiority of force-users over those who cannot use the force, making her at odds with most of the people she meets outside of the Sith order.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
As a baby, Emmalene’s force sensitivity manifested. For years her brother Salvor did not manifest powers. Their Sith parents hoped that he was simply a slow learner, but as the years progressed, Emmalene was left as the only force-sensitive child of the family. Thus, when she was of age she was taken by her parents from Carida to the One Sith to find a suitable master. Her mother was a quite progressive Sith, so her father’s choice to leave her in the care of an ultra-orthodox master caused tension in their family. Ultimately they compromised as Emmalene’s master was exceptionally strong and was no stranger to teaching. It was here through the cruel training regimen of her master that Emmalene grew to who she is now.

The pompous child hiding behind her family’s status was quickly eliminated. Being repeatedly beaten down by her master and fellow acolytes over the years gave her the discipline to overcome them. She knew that she could not solely trust herself or her family, so she put her faith in the Sith Code. Abiding religiously by its mantras, she sought to gain more and more power. Both her master and fellow students began to fear her ability to fight back after a loss.

At 20, Emmalene led her fellow students in a coup against their master. Although the man was an elder, his strength required the attention of all his pupils to overcome. They followed Emmalene not because they thought they could defeat their master, but because they now feared her wrath more than his.

When the Third Imperial Civil War began and the Keepers of the Sith Code broke from the Emperor’s Sith order, Emmalene followed the apostates. It was there she reconnected with her brother Salvor, who had always been militantly loyal to the Sith, and whom she hadn't spoken to much after the death of their parents in the Great War. When he and his defectors formed the Death Knells, she joined them in as much capacity as her new lords would allow her.

Her adherence to the dark side and the beliefs she holds of its superiority puts her at great odds with the New Imperial Order. Despite the animosity that her brother’s company gets from the stormtroopers of the NIO, it's incomparably lower than the feelings that many NIO soldiers get having to fight alongside a Sith.
