Intent: To replace the suit of standard entry-level Aliit'gam which Ember has been wearing for a goodly while.

Description: Ember's beskar'gam draws upon the design aesthetics of traditional Mandalorian armor, while hearkening back to ancient Taung armor, as well as the traditions which have been most influential in Ember's life: The Dathomiri Witches and the Draethos Keetael trackers. His T-visor, while fully functional, is more an aesthetic suggestion than a rigid adherence to the instantly recognizable Mandalorian visage. It is the armor of a Witch Clan Father as much as of a Mandalorian commander.

-Weak Points/Overview
As the helmet is low-profile and quite tight to Ember's head, the neck would be a viable target. Likewise, a good portion of his upper arms is exposed, at least in regards to the beskar plate, and of course the armpit is also vulnerable. Ember's feet and lower legs are fully protected, but his knees are vulnerable from sides and back, as are his upper legs, which have only a frontal plate. Over a beskar cup, he wears short sheets of beskar mail to protect his hips and femoral arteries. A strike up into the inside of his thigh could shove the mail aside and find one of the upper leg gaps. His hands are completely uncovered for maximum dexterity in climbing, hand-to-hand, and knife and sword combat. The cup and throat are lined with terentatek leather purchased from Akure Executive Leatherworks, preventing a certain unscrupulous Wookiee from applying crushing telekinesis to Ember's neck or nether regions. His holsters and sheaths are also made of terentatek leather, to obstruct others from firing his BrotherGuard blaster pistols or Vornskr scattergun with telekinesis. In short, the armor is bulky and occasionally cumbersome, and it leaves substantial portions of his body undefended. Its weapons loadout is also, by Mandalorian standards, seriously lacking.

-Breastplate and Backplate
Slightly overlapping plates allow full protection of the torso, except as noted above (armpits, mainly). Segmented plates over the collarbones and throat allow for superior flexibility in what is essentially a beskar'kandar torso setup. A length of micronized beskar cloth, a very short ornamental cape, covers his upper back and protects the back of his right arm and shoulder. A radiation deflection badge is contained in the breastplate, and can be replaced without removing the armour. The backplate is compatible with clip-on mounts for backslung weapons, such as bowcasters or long swords, as well as standard jetpacks.

-Bracers
Each bracer contains a long (25cm) Thorn of Ryloth hookblade, instantly deployable along the inner wrist. Thorns of Ryloth can be energized like the tail of an energy whip, allowing them to block lightsabres and, on contact, release an electrical charge to stunning, but not lethal, effect. For the sake of silence and low visibility profile, the blades are often deployed un-energized. The hookblades and, more importantly, their mechanisms are forged of beskar, allowing them to hold Ember's weight while climbing, if necessary. (As Ember spends a good deal of time climbing, his boots are also optimized for that purpose.) Ember's left bracer contains a virtually silent equivalent of a standard wrist blaster, a Verpine shattergun. The recoil is jarring, often requiring Ember's mastery of physical enhancement to avoid strained shoulder or elbow, but the solid shot is far less visible than a blaster and far quieter to boot, due to a shattergun's inbuilt sound dampening. The shattergun is, of course, as inaccurate as any weapon fixed to one's wrist and forearm, and thus has an effective range of fifteen metres barring seriously Force-assisted aim. It contains twenty shots, less than half of a standard shattergun pistol's ammunition capacity, and -- like many shatterguns -- can fire any small, regular metallic item less than half an inch in diameter, if absolutely necessary. The right bracer contains a small, wide-blast, short-range (5m) stun blaster. Each bracer also contains a small elbow blade with a hard-contact trigger pad: A strike with the back of the elbow will deploy a three-inch blade instantly. The blade will not deploy with any other form of elbow strike. Additionally, on the inside of each forearm near the inside of the elbow, there is space to conceal a slim knife or other thin, flat object.

-Helmet
The technical capabilities of Ember's helmet are fairly standard, even unimpressive for a Mandalorian. If the helmet is sealed, and if Ember has access to well-insulated gloves, the armor itself can be sealed, and the helmet contains toxin filters. Standard night vision/dark vision, a fifty-metre motion sensor, a small rearview holocam, and IR/UV imaging modes fill out a modest sensor suite. His helmet has the capability to play back and transmit up to half an hour of sensor/visual data, and polarize if facing immense glare. The helmet offers full protection from sonic weapons (not counting Geonosian-style sonic-shockwave kinetic energy guns). Additionally, minor active cancellation gear is built into the armor near the collarbones, permitting a degree of resistance to sonic weapons even if Ember is not wearing his helmet. The helmet also contains a basic encrypted comlink and a basic mapping system.

-Assorted Gear
The armor contains a number of very small compartments or niches, and can be worn with a standard belt of pouches. Ember is known to carry a handful of small throwing knives, perhaps a hold-out blaster, poisons or sedatives on occasion, bafforr tree pollen, a basic imagecaster, glasteel vials of his own blood or others' for tracking purposes, and small, complex mental mazes for helping him subdue Force-users. He often carries a collapsed pair of AEL TerentAttack Cuffs for similar reasons.
