Elysian Sunset

The Government of Elysian people, have finally raised enough money, to rebuild Sircuse. After finding the planet resettling here, it had come home to many refuges, fleeing political insatiability in aftermath of the fall of the republic. This put more strain on their under developed infrastructure, and they still lacked any sort formal planning. The debate a year to conclude, but it had finally been decide enough was enough they had to get one with it. As the population to planet is hundred times what it use to be, coming up to half billion people. This posed a risk of cholera epidemic as well as other problems, due to poor living conditions.

Elaine was put charge of scrutinizing the contracts, and won a large chunk of contract, which she could sub out to other people. She got it as she was one few major employer employer on the planet, and was also putting a lot her own money into it, as cheap loan, though she still make small profit at the end of it.

Her first job was to get on the holo net, and get message out to as many people as possible and say Elysian people where open for business.

Message from Elysian Government

Duchess Elaine Thul, has been granted the authority and funds to help rebuild Sircuse.
The aim is to make it a capital, worthy of Elysian people.
All interested investors, and manufactures please contact House Thul Estates.
Please state what you can build, and your price you shall charge for your services.

Your sincerely the people of Elysian

The planet was now part a outback, so message went through their systems as well.

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
"Finally! Theysa realize dat mesa doen many projects to help people in need, serve da Alliance, or other charity work, for years" Ugohr commented upon receiving the letter from the GA correctional authorities.

"What do you mean, master?" a youngling asked.

"Mesa house arrest finally over!"

It was obvious to the correctional officers that oversaw Ugohr's house arrest that he has been a respectable being for all those years after Chandrila occurred. Rebuilding Siricuse, as planned by [member="Elaine Thul"], was not going to be easy, and he would not be able to cover everything on his own. Plus he was not able to get promotions to more senior salesmanship roles until his house arrest was over for the manslaughter that occurred on Chandrila. Now he could oversee larger construction projects, which included housing, hospitals and other basic infrastructure, much like his boss Cathul did on Shawken, Gala or Azure. Or Kriselist. He could begin to get all the materials to get the Pizza Hutt factory for Wild Space built on Elysian, along with another 500-bed hospital as built on Shawken, and of course social housing as built on Kriselist. And IGR ABMs, as well as a branch. Provided, of course, that the soil on Elysian's surface was anything like any of those planets, he would be fine, so he ordered the raw materials while he assembled the Sullustan architects and other specialized construction workers, forming up with the locals once on Elysian. And a youngling or two.

"Wesa ready for departure to Elysian" he told the youngling, who took up the pilot's seat in the AT-AT barge carrying specialized tools and construction equipment along with their operators.

"All systems go"

Duchess Thul,

I wanted to reach out to you about expanding Siricuse. I run a mod shop out of a heavy freighter called the Wretched Hive. My techs have done business on Elysian before, mostly just tweaking speeders for members of your court. If you ask around, you'll find plenty of satisfied customers. I think we can help with some of the issues you're facing.

  • Public transit. Your people need to get to food, water, employment, shelter, and medical aid. I'm told that your transit systems are having trouble. I happen to know a thing or two about optimizing hovertrains and water speeders. We'd be willing to tweak your transports for bare cost of parts and labour - schedule's attached.
  • Basic sanitation and rations. You're facing waste disposal issues and might run into trouble feeding some of the refugees while they get their feet under them. What you need is Silk Holdings solid fuel/ration converters that solve both problems. I know where I can get industrial-grade SFRCs for a steep discount, and I'd be happy to run them out to Elysian for market price. The difference would cover my crew's fuel and labour costs easily.
Let me know if my proposal meets your needs.

Thank you for contacting us. We are currently looking to expand our corporate owned property, and would be interested in assisting with this development in the form of a naval shipyard and several manufacturing facilities. We would also be interested in possibly constructing a nuclear power station and then donating it for public use, assuming we are subsidized for this.

Please respond if this would be appropriate

Thank you for your interest Ugohr Poof, I am highly interested in the housing development.
Though I do need to ask a few question,
  • Price per unit.
  • Also send me list of different designs
  • Could you please include solar power
  • will this include utilities, if not please coordinate [member="Jorus Merrill"] and other contractors
As for the factories, they are most welcome, and please place them near the other industrial units, south of current space ports.
The delivery shops for your products, I shall leave that in your capable hands
The Hospital will be most welcome, how many can you build.

Thank you for your reply

The housing units, I have two questions
  • Price per unit.
  • Also send me list of different designs
  • Could you include solar power
The farming improvements will always be welcome, but due to natural predatory wild life, any farms require some sort of local shields.
I also needs as much of utility works, doing as quickly as possible, I can have people moved to barracks, as you do sections.
Also waste disposal is huge issue pioneer units are over run, dealing with it.
Feel free to use these soldiers, with any task you can.

Transport links becoming more efficient is highly useful, also any help you can get from other companies would be most welcome.
Also please make sure, you are not out of pocket on this, as I would not want people to wonder if Elysian worth investing in.

Thank you for your reply

I am highly interested in ship manufacturing happening on this planet, and as such to help facilitate this, I shall put an order in for troop transports.
I shall talk to you about this, in face to face meeting later, to discuss my needs.
Please place any manufacturing, in the same area as the others, as it keeps transport links more efficient.
As for the power station, could you make sure it can cover any short falls in solar power houses, as well manufacturing needs.

Thank you for your reply

Thank you for your interest, and extra transportation is always useful. May I running a link from hover train to peoples homes, to coincide with shift swaps, from various factories.
This would maximize your income from your venture, and help keep the area clear for construction vehicles.

Thank you for your reply

She still had lots work projects to do but this was good start, though their where many companies interested. The more the better, as it means more could be done quicker.

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
"Wesa needen to answer da locals' questions before wesa can begin work"

"As Cathul did everywhere projects on that scale were done, densification is key here" the architect told him.

While en route to Elysian, Ugohr received the message from [member="Elaine Thul"], and presumably [member="Darren Torran"], [member="Natalie LaForte"] and [member="Jorus Merrill"] would also receive such messages from her, for whatever services they come to Elysian to provide. Elaine asked for a number of details from the Gungan, which he had to consult with his staff to write a proper answer to. Clearly his boss was much more adept with urbanistic questions than he was, and, upon reading about... solar power, he checked against the social housing blueprints brought in tow.

-------------------------------------

Your Grace,

The first set of questions pertaining to social housing blocks, which are built by the city block according to the social housing design attached. Due to your request for solar power, flat roofing is included and, for each housing block, 120 apartments are included, with 2 shops being rented out on each block. Also, utilities are included. Each city block costs 2 million each to build.

As for the hospitals, there may be two or three built, for 5 million each. Nevertheless, I shall do my best to respect Your Grace's wishes on the factory and supermarket counts, with the supermarket being surrounded by social housing blocks if permitted.

Sanya Val Lerium

[member="Elaine Thul"]

There was very little Sanya could give these people. She would openly admit she felt sympathetic to them. The people here where like her own people. They claimed a new world to call home. A home that would stand for generations to come. Still where there was little to give to the people here it would seem a lot for now. Her ships came down bringing building materials and prefabricated homes. In time they could be made into actual ones that get connected to a power grid rather than running off a generator. She also brought enough materials to build a small factory. One that could manufacture clothes, droids and vehicles.

Although clothing production was the primary focus for now while the other two was a secondary. Not only would it help improve the economy on this world but profits could be used to help her people. Her feet touched firmly on the dirt ground as she left the freeighter. She had drawn out a plan of where the buildings are to go and how far the construction should be. The woman had to be sure that the distance was easily walkable on tired workers, but at the same time far enough there was no sound pollution disturbing them from rest. As the feline woman stood there directing peoe to survey she wrote a message.

Dear Miss Thul

I'm writing to inform you that the Ancoran people send their help. While we don't have much to offer ourselfs been in the similar situation, myself and my people understand the difficultys of building anew.

We are able to donate sixty homes this month and many more to come in the following. Along with that I'm investing recorded to build a clothing facility that would help keep your people prepared for the eelement's and luxury items. It is also a good opportunity to start building a positive economy.

we do not require payment in credits or trivial goods but rather the same helping hand when the time comes.

Sincerely
Queen Sanya Val Swift

SEVERAL DAYS LATER

------------------

It didn't take long for the preparations to be made. That is to say, that those preparations were simply loading cargo shuttles with droids, miscellaneous materials and they -- Natalie and her Sister -- off to the sunny skies of Elysian, a moderate planet which shared many weather patterns of that of her home world. Although, what was there really to expect? This wasn't a scam e-mail, since scam e-mails tended not to have the web domain of a planetary government, and the message looked official enough, but Natalie's definition of 'Official' was the extent that they could write in fully formed sentences and everything was understandable.

Regardless of who this 'Elaine' person is, she had made sure to send a witty e-mail back with a twist on her last. Now all that was needed was the zoning approval from the Duchess herself and everything would be in order - the mass of droids would be able to construct Natalie's wildest dreams of a naval construction facility on somewhere else that wasn't Mygeeto. Her sister, however, was not in the same perky mood as her.

"I hate this place. Too sunny."

"You're calling it too sunny? In case you have forgotten, I can't be exposed to sunlight or else I will die. Be grateful you can get a tan at least." Thrusting her arm out and showing the pale complexion of her skin. Right now, they were standing under a make-shift tent, capable of repelling the waves from the nearest star that the planet was orbiting.

All there was left to do now, was wait.

Duchess Thul,

We project operating at cost and even a slim profit, so don't worry about our end of things. We've secured the following:

80x QQ-1453-DR1 Solid Fuel/Ration Converter (SFRC)
3200x SFRC-compatible vitamin module

We're making these available to you at cost, as discussed. The Wretched Hive will reach Elysian in four days, unload and distribute the SFRC units, and begin work on the most important public transit units.

Best wishes,
Captain Merrill

That is a most generous offer, I do not wish your people be out of pocket, as we have saved for this major expenditure.
Though your terms are agreeable, and I am more than happy to help you at later date, with anything we can do.
I look forward to meeting you, at the first planning session, to work out the best place to put the factories.

That would be very useful, and would be great as part of refugee processing area. They would be best placed at these coordinates, just outside the city walls, but still under the protection of the shield wall. As I can't risk communal diseases or people not conjunctive with common good getting through. As for space port please build pre planning meeting here.
I also look forward to meeting you, at the first planning session.

That is good to hear, and I hope to see you soon at the first planning meeting, so we coordinate everything.

The next day was day of first planning meeting, she had not heard back form some bidders. Though she sent them all an invite as precaution, it was held in her fort. The fort itself was going to become part of new city, so her troops would be on hand to help out in any civil emergency. The was a clear agenda, to what need to be done. They had to work out the least densely populated areas, so they could move these people first and create the first of housing blocks. So then people could move into this area, and then make next area less dense. Though their still be major disruptions to other areas, as water pipes had to laid, as well power cables. She also need to make sure the shield grid was not effected.

So she and waited for the first people to arrive for main meeting, with everyone here. So utility routes could be worked out, to bring water in, and take waste water to treatment works. As well as wear they should be placed, she also wanted to make sure the factories where close together, as this would make transport links easier. Though where the industrial center will be had to be decided.

She sat at round table, and waited for the first arrive for meeting.

Kami arrived pretty early letting the droids and clan members take control of the spaceport.
she was in her typical out of armor clothing

she looked more like a tramp than a buisness owner.
docking her TAL gunship in the nearby dock she made her way to the location she was given.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Upon arriving on Elysian, Ugohr received an invitation to the first planning session, alongside [member="Sanya Val Swift"], [member="Darren Torran"], [member="Elaine Thul"], [member="Jorus Merrill"], [member="Natalie LaForte"] and [member="Kami Meran"]. A crucial meeting, especially if all the locations were to be made clear prior to the works commencing. Only after the first planning session could actual work begin on those stuff discussed with Elaine. The Gungan would bring the blueprints for each building type that was going to be built in Siricuse. Yet the sun of that place had much of the same effect as would be the case at high noon on Ringo Vinda or on Tatooine. That was going to be a problem since Elysian is dry.

The darkness lays ever near the light.
Darren arrived on Elysian not too long after receiving the invitation - accompanied by a small group of trained Engineers and vehicle operators, alongside their vehicles, of course. Unfortunately, due to how busy he had been recently, he forgot to reply to the previous message that he had been sent be Duchess Thul - though he was still invited, luckily enough. In the previous message - he had been asked to create a train system that he assumed would span the whole of the capital, unfortunately, due to Torr Industries only being a Tier 1 Compant, he would not be able to do that. However, he could make the trains and could provide a few vehicles able of transporting building supplies (among other things) around the capital's yet unbuilt foundations. He could - also - help build and equip the capital's military forces with vehicles.

His ship docked somewhat near to Duchess Thul's fortress, making it a much less perilous journey to the meeting. Darren only took one of his men with him - leaving the rest to take care of the ship and do a final inventory check before the vehicles were to be moved onto the surface of the planet where they were to be used. He looked around in awe at the grand fortress in which his employer resided as he entered. The Zabrak walked the hallways, astonished that he was invited to such a grand structure.

Darren reached the meeting room, having to refocus himself on the situation at hand as he entered. He gave a large smile as he saw his employer. Giving a bow, he stated "Greetings, Duchess Thul. This place... It is astonishing - I wish my home was this grand." he gave another look around, before diverting his attention back to the Duchess "Ah, where are my manners? Darren Torran, CEO of Torr Industries. It's a pleasure to finally put a face to the emails, Duchess."

“The round table’s a nice touch.”

Jorus took this meeting seriously. Therefore, he'd shaved, and put on his old pants with the lower-grade gold Corellian Bloodstripes. Formal wear.

“Nice to see you keeping a handle on the situation, Duchess. Lotta folks need care and opportunities these days, and it's good to see a planet that does right by refugees. We handle this right and they'll be a benefit, mark.my words.

“Anyways, I've got a cargo hold full of industrial solid fuel/ration converters, and a bulk freighter full of mechanics looking to make a dent in your transit systems.”

" as long as i'm not there aren't any green knights i'm fine." kami joked as she took a seat.
" i can get several MM-001 trawler over here " she admitted thinking that each of those could hold a thousand people comfortably in the on board bunks.
the main thing here is civilians in Kami's mind. so it efected her decisions.
" i have law enforcement gear. too. " she added sitting down.

Sanya had been keeping to busy to change into something a bit more fresh. She was wearing her robes without the gown although they where stylish unlike those of a Jedi or monk. The woman also had her circlet on like she did almost all the time. After receiving the invitation she stayed with her people getting everything ready until the last moment before passing the coordination over to some other person who had done many designed for her factories and even helped plan the new style of homes on Ancora.

The speeder slowed down as it reached the location. Others had already arrived by the looks of different types of transportation. Exiting the speeder she'd be greeted by two individuals that led her inside and gave directions to the meeting. The feline like woman would soon reach the right room after making one or two wrong turns. As she entered the room she could only make out one two familiar faces. "Lady Thul, it's a pleasure to see you again. My it's been some time since we last met. I believe it was during the galactic republic. I can't remember the worlds name but I remember you certainly saving my butt." She said reminiscing the past. As she took a seat near jorus.

She stood near the door flanked by two housecarls, she meet each delegates as they came through the door. She was wearing a purple dress, suited for the occusion
hot-selling-purple-women-business-suit-custom.jpg

Each of the delegates, had been vetted and checked on arrival to make sure they where who they said they where. This was all done behind close doors, and none the delegates knew this happened. Though it was standard housecarl protocol, just to make sure she was safe. As each guest arrived she shook hand and listened to them.

[member="Ugohr Poof"] she shook the hand of former colleague from naboo. He seemed to be carrying a lot blueprints, and was obviously in need to put the down. So she let him do so, they could exchange pleasantries later.

Then came [member="Darren Torran"] a member of Silver Jedi Order no less, she might show him her dueling outfits later. As they might need armour, after the rumours she had heard for galactic edge. It is a pleasure to meet you too, and I am looking forward to working with you. I hope you enjoy stay here, if you need anything just ask. As he moved on, she then met few more guest.

Then next notable one came, one who needed no introduction [member="Jorus Merrill"]. He was founding member of the outback collation, and her people where now members of them. She smiled as she saw his face, Thank you, she replied to his comment, about the round table. She had done it, so no one felt lesser than another. She never seen him shaven before, he suited it, but she knew the stubble would be back by tomorrow. Then he comment about the refugees, I came here as one, so it would be wrong of me not try and do anything for them, though their are lot in the galaxy, at moment due to wars. I just hope all find a home and peaceful live if possible. She came after trying to usurp, what she saw as a sith coup on alderaan. Time seem to be proving her wrong, but she could know that at the time, all she knew is he fought against the republic, and for sith empire. Thank you she replied to him bring a shipment of goods, and then added They will be put good use.

After a couple more delegates, then came some one she had not seen before. She was told she was [member="Kami Meran"], she was young mandalorian girl, last time she met a mandalorian, they where fighting on Kashyyk the wookie homeworld. The republic lost, her troops had fought well but ultimately numbers won out. She had no ill will towards them, as they did not serve the sith. So she greeted her, and listened to her. No their is no green jedi I know off coming, but you could always ask Jorus merrill, I think he know some. She then listened to him about the items, I am sure they would come in very useful.

Straight after him was [member="Sanya Val Swift"], she shook her hand Don't worry I can't ether, and it is good to see you again. After this meeting may be we can catch up, and see where I can help your people, in return. She said with a smile it was nice to see an old friend, but she had many things to do, so catch up would have to wait.

There where a few people who late, but they could just slip in. As after the main speech, their was going to be coffee break to allow people to meet each other.

As the majority where now seated, and she took her place. She stood up and lights went down, so the holographic image was clearer. It was projected on the table, and she began her speech. Thank you all for coming, and helping take part of this planet renewal. We came here along time ago, for reasons we shall not go into. Though since then the planet's population has grown a lot more than it's initial setters from house thul, and the killiks, that came with me. We not here to dwell on the past, we here to move forward. Due to many wars, and the collapse of the republic, people have been dispersed throughout the galaxy. A lot of them have found a home here, as we offer work and a clean slate, to any who come. Though this comes with it's problems, one lacking housing and infrastructure for them live and prosper. The school and hospitals where never designed for this many people, so it is time rebuild the city and make bigger as well. She took a sip of water, and to let the delegates have a look at the city she was planning. Now as you can see the city, would have to be defend one, for a few reasons. The main reason for this, is the local wildlife. As you may have seen on the way in, the planet is home to native species reptilian predators. They are quite dangerous, so we need a wall to keep them out. Though I do not expect trouble from our neighbours, it was always good idea to plan for in just incase. She was talking about the First Order mainly, but their name did not need mentioning. Now this planet also home to some mines villages and farms, these two would need protection from the local wildlife. She then pressed a switch, and then holographic images changed, showing the designs of some villages that where being proposed. Last but least, this planet will become home to new refugees, no doubt about it. Though this not a problem, once we have level infrastructure we talking about made. We still need a processing, as temporary area to keep them in. So they can be vetted, and processed, and a home and job found for them. Everyone Elysian had to work or do something, except those who are mentally to scarred to. It was just way it was, they never had time to carry someone, who would not pitch in. This was due to small population to start with, and the uphill struggle they had, and demands that they had met on behalf of the republic, and Galactic Alliance. Though those days are gone, the work ethic remained. Now I shall yield the floor, to any questions and after that we can have break. She then waited for the first questions to be thrown at her, she had notes on everything so she could give a honest answer.
