In addition, the parallel predictive modeling capabilities afforded by the neural lattice allows them to anticipate outcomes before they occur. As a result, reaction time may be partly “preloaded”, further accelerating reaction speed from baseline simple reaction time values.

        • Each of the three brains has semi-specialized functions. Elryssiane neurology distributes memories across all three, allowing them to store far more associations than a baseline humanoid. Instead of eidetic recall, they have structured redundancy: if one brain misses a detail, the others can cross-reference context to reconstruct it. In particular, Elryssiane can recall conversations, sensory details, or emotional states with ~90–95% fidelity decades later. They retain not only the event, but also its texture (tone of voice, peripheral movement, lighting). In addition, their associative memory makes them excellent at pattern recognition because their minds link memories in parallel lattices, allowing them to recall webs of related impressions, instead of just isolated facts. For example, meeting someone once lets them recall that person’s smell, micro-expressions, and emotional state, allowing recognition even decades later. Finally, their working memory allows them to juggle far more information at once than a baseline humanoid, making them incredible multitaskers.

        • Each of the three brains requires different types of rest. The cognitive cortex needs deep slow-wave cycles, for information consolidation and neural “detox”. The emotive-limbic brain drives REM-like dream stages, for emotional processing and social memory refinement. The mnemosyne Core requires ultra-low-frequency “suspension states”, stabilizing deep memories and imprints.
        • During general sleep, brain activity rotates in staggered phases, so that one brain is always semi-alert. Due to this rotation, an Elryssiane is never completely unconscious during general sleep. One of the brains maintains low-level sensory watch, allowing them to wake almost instantly to danger.
        • Elryssiane generally need ~6-8 hours of general sleep per 24 hours, which is taken in two ~3-4 hour sleep cycles.

          • Alternatively, Elryssiane can enter a deliberate, controlled suspension state where they fully power down all three brains simultaneously, bypassing the staggered rotation. This produces an ultra-efficient restorative cycle that compresses the equivalent of ~6–8 hours of staggered general sleep into ~2–3 hours of “hyperdeep sleep”. Inducing this requires a conscious initiation through a neuroelectric self-signal, at which point the neural lattice synchronizes all three brains’ rhythms, forcing them into coordinated shutdown. This “hyperdeep sleep” confers time efficiency, deep restoration, memory stabilization, and lucid dreaming. However, in this state the Elryssiane is extremely vulnerable as all sensory watch systems are shut down. They cannot wake instantly to danger unless jolted externally. In addition, emerging from hyperdeep generally requires a ~30-60 second “boot-up” phase to resynchronize the neural lattice.

        • The Elryssiane’s three-brain neural architecture not only boosts raw mental power—it also allows them to process multiple streams of information and action simultaneously with minimal interference between tasks. Where most humanoid brains must switch focus between activities, the Elryssiane can maintain several independent lines of thought at once, each with its own priority, sensory feed, and motor output.

        • Electromagnetically sensitive organs embedded in the dermal pits of the lekku are capable of detecting electromagnetic fields. These organs can be utilized to pick up the electromagnetic fields of a heartbeat, detect droids, pick up electromagnetic shifts from muscle contractions, and yet more capabilities.
        • Electroreceptive nerve clusters connect directly into the inferior midbrain and parietal sensory cortex equivalent, allowing Elryssiane to integrate electroreception input with visual and auditory maps in real time. In essence, this is an intuitive ghostly overlay of electromagnetic activity, even in pitch darkness or heavy smoke. As this signal is processed in parallel with the primary senses, there is no perceptual lag.

Through these emissions, they are able to manipulate bioelectric fields, produce various sensory and cognitive effects, somatic and nervous system effects, and engage various other advanced neuropsychic applications in targeted beings. This ability can also be weaponized, allowing for the forced overload, disruption, or re-patterning of other beings’ neural systems.

          • Elryssiane irises contain specialized photophores —light-producing cells—that can emit in a wavelength range that most humanoid eyes can detect but subconsciously process as “calming” or “entrancing”. The light pulses in patterns that mimic the brain’s theta wave frequency, a rhythm associated with deep relaxation, daydreaming, and hypnosis in many species. In effect, Elryssiane can mimic the function of a hypnogazer with their eyes, allowing them to place targets in a deep state of hypnosis and suggestibility.

          • Elryssiane irises also contain a neurophotic lattice: a crystalline microstructure within the iris and retina that refracts and re-emits light in non-linear ways. These lattices extend slightly into psionic sub-dimensions—a bioengineered echo of the planar networks present inside hypergems. When an Elryssiane activates this ability, their irises shift and scintillate like a higher-dimensional crystal folding and unfolding in real time.         • Elryssiane have unusually flexible vocal membranes and resonant cavities within their thorax and sinus channels, giving them a wider pitch range and the ability to layer multiple tones at once. When harmonized, their voices can produce beat frequencies that directly entrain to neural oscillations of nearby beings. This resonance can amplify or dampen theta and gamma brainwave states.
        • By tuning specific auditory frequencies, Elryssiane can produce a wide range of hypnotic effects. In mild terms, they can use their voices calm, soothe, and create states of open suggestibility. Moderate effects encompass the inducement of altered states of consciousness, including dreamlike visuals, time distortion, and emotional flooding. These may be experienced as overwhelming beauty or disorientation. Finally, the most severe and dangerous effects may come through the targeting of specific cortical rhythms, allowing a skilled Elryssiane to instill compulsion, paralysis, or confusion in even the strongest-willed sentients.

This process encompasses five primary stages, beginning with budding initiation. In this, a specialized organ cluster—the Genetic Inductor Sac—begins synthesizing a fully structured genome from the parent’s DNA. The second stage is gestation, which begins when the budding organism is transferred into a nutrient-rich bio-pool, an artificially maintained basin containing mineral suspension fluids and tailored bacterial symbionts. The bio-pool environment drives cellular growth, supported by continuous hormonal and protein secretions from the parent into the fluid. From here, accelerated morphogenesis initiates, which sees the new Elryssiane develop directly into adult proportions, guided by pre-coded morphogen gradients in the genome. The three brains form in parallel during this stage, with early neural imprinting occurring as well. The next stage sees the most intensive neural imprinting, where the parent transfers baseline racial memories and skills through neuroelectric induction—a direct brain-to-brain imprint made possible by the Mnemosyne Core. Finally, within ~3–4 weeks of budding initiation, the new Elryssiane emerges from the bio-pool as a fully functional adult.
          • Reproduction encompasses true automixis with genomic repair & reshuffling. Mechanisms to avoid inbreeding stagnation include gene conversion and template-guided recombination to refresh old alleles, polyploid switching for purging defects, and benign, symbiotic viromes which allow for horizontal gene exchange within bio-pools.

          • While adult genesis is the default reproductive mode, Elryssiane also retain the ability for sexual reproduction—a biologically redundant, yet fully functional capability. Sexual reproduction occurs via standard humanoid intercourse, with ovum fertilization from a compatible species’ sperm. Of particular note, the Elryssiane ovum exhibits xenogenetic receptivity—it can bind with sperm from a wide range of humanoid and near-humanoid species (though genetic compatibility varies greatly). Fertilized embryos develop internally over a standard 8–9 month period and are birthed as infant Elryssiane—the only time they experience a childhood stage.
            • The Mnemosyne Core and the ovum’s Genetic Inductor Sac function as gatekeepers. They analyze the alien DNA, strip away incompatible chromosomal structures, and map minor surface alleles (like pigmentation, bone density subtleties, or vocal timbre), before rebuilding the genome on a baseline Elryssiane template. Thus, in the case of an alien father, the daughter is 100% Elryssiane in physiology, neurology, and reproductive biology, but might still inherit minor traits (such as eye and skin tone variation, craniofacial angles, minor metabolic quirks, etc.) from the father.

  • Reflex: With the neural lattice functioning as a high-speed cognitive core, Elryssiane reaction times are orders of magnitude faster than baseline humanoids. As a result, Elryssiane may view most other species as slow-minded or sluggish. In social engagements with non-Elryssiane, they may deliberately slow down their responses to avoid alienating individuals from other species.
  • Parallel Multitasking: Unlike most baseline humanoids who must switch focus between activities, Elryssiane are capable of parallel multitasking. They can engage several independent tasks simultaneously without loss of efficiency owing

First, the placement of the third eye on the forehead extends the vertical field. Thus, they have better visual coverage above and below, reducing blind spots that humanoids have in the forehead–brow zone. This allows them to judge motion-in-depth (e.g., something flying directly toward their face) more precisely than humans. It improves range-finding, making them excellent at throwing, targeting, and precision strikes. Finally, the third eye also augments environmental awareness, primarily through enhanced motion detection as three offset perspectives feed more data into the visual cortex. Combined with their neural lattice, they can integrate multiple visual streams seamlessly, allowing them to process subtle discrepancies (like camouflage or cloaking fields) far better than most species.

It allows them to detect heartbeats, droids, muscle micro-signals, and other electromagnetic signals, giving them powerful perceptive capabilities even in darkness, smoke, or visual occlusion.

Weaknesses:
  • Line-of-Sight Dependancy: The hypnogazer-like optic effects and hyperoptic mimicry require visible eye contact; droids and blindfighting techniques may negate these capabilities.
  • Silent Symphony: Polysymphonic hypnosis requires vocalization within audible range; sonic dampeners or vacuum conditions make this ability useless.
  • Skill Check: The Elryssiane are biologically gifted with powerful capabilities for hypnosis, mentalism, and telepathy. However, their abilities are not always “point and shoot”. They demand fine-tuned knowledge, training, and situational awareness to achieve consistent results. In particular, in order to enact optical entrancement via hypnogazer mimicry, an Elryssiane must know how different species’ retinas, cortical visual processing, and neural oscillation patterns respond to light wavelengths. A color/pulse pattern that induces calm in a human might trigger aggression in a Rodian, or nausea in a Mon Calamari. Effective use of these powers requires formal xenoneuropsychology training in order to understand how a given target’s nervous system interprets light, sound, and electrical patterns. Even among the Elryssiane, only a fraction master the encyclopedic recall necessary to manipulate dozens of different alien species effectively.
  • Electroreception Sensitivity: While excellent for detecting life signs, Elryssian electroreception can be overwhelmed by powerful EM surges, droid discharges, or ion weapons, leading to sensory blindness or painful overload.
  • Third Eye Vulnerability: The forehead eye, being exposed and central, is more vulnerable to direct injury than the lateral eyes. Damage to any one of the three eyes may cause disorientation due to the brain miscalculating distances.

  • Religion / Beliefs: Fully incorporated into the Kainate, virtually all Elryssiane adhere to the Eclipsing Faith—an eschatological and theocratic belief system centered on the divinity of the Dark Dyad of Darth Carnifex (the Eternal Father) and Darth Prazutis (the Shadow Hand). Whether they are cast from a Genesis Cradle, birthed from a bio-pool, or even born as infants, Elryssiane born in the Kainate are immersed in the Faith from the moment that their three brains come into structure. However, Elryssiane worship takes on a distinct texture compared to other species in the Kainate, often referred to as communal neuroelectric liturgies. In these rites, Elryssiane gather in concentric pools or low-lit sanctums, forming a shared neuroelectric field amplified by resonance organs (their aerovocalics and Mnemosyne Cores). During religious chants, Elryssiane layer harmonic frequencies into the ritual, producing beat-frequency entrainment that deepens the group-mind effect central to ceremonies in the Eclipsing Faith. This allows them to enter partial dream-sharing states even while awake, binding them together in worship.

    Elryssiane also worship in deliberate dream-states, wherein they collectively immerse into a shared symbolic vision of the Dark Dyad. These dreams are ritually cultivated by rhythmic chanting, controlled photophore emissions, and neuroelectric harmonization. When performed communally, Elryssiane emerge from the ritual with identical symbolic memories, manifesting a powerful form of doctrinal imprinting.

    On feast days, Elryssiane may congregate together in hyperdeep sleep, guided by seers from the Avulsuna. In this state, all three brains shut down, and their dreams synchronize into a singular shared vision, producing a doctrinal group-mind experience. These “Trine Eclipses” are considered the most sacred form of worship, where individuality is briefly dissolved into the cosmic unity of the Dark Dyad.

    However, as the Elryssiane population within the Kainate is low, they are rarely able to gather in large Elryssian-exclusive congregations. As a result, Elryssiane assigned to a single station, planet, starship, or outposts typically worship together in small groups (often numbering no more than 5 Elryssiane), while also inviting non-Elryssia of the Eclipsing Faith (often trusted friends, confidants, and peers) to share in the ritual experience.
  • General Behavior: Due to adult genesis in parthenogenetic bio-pools, Elryssiane do not have families in the baseline humanoid sense. Instead, they recognize lineage-pools and clan matrices (groups who share genetic-exchange virome pools) as their kin. Individuals who emerge from the same communal reproductive pool at a given time consider themselves to be “pool-sisters”, a sacred bond akin to both family and battlemate.

    In general, Elryssiane in the Kainate live in accordance with the demands of their roles, often serving as seers, infiltrators, hypnotists, neurological healers, diplomats, and interrogators.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
One of the few non-Sithspawn or non-Dark Side-enhanced species created by the Alchemarch, the Elryssiane were first conceptualized after raids by the Slavemaster General of the Kainate, yielded a fresh stock of Mairan and Maelibus genetic material. Although efforts were made to directly tame the captured Mairan and Maelibus subjects for service in the Kainate, these were ultimately abandoned after Vestara VII successfully managed to stabilize and isolate their genome. In doing so, she molded their genetics into workable clay and soon initiated a bioengineering project of her own, with the ultimate goal of creating a new telepathic breed through a fusion of Twi’lek, Mairan, and Maelibus genetics.

The first successful, stable subjects of this project were yielded only a month after its initiation. Christened as the Elryssiane, the genome was soon enhanced, refined, and stabilized over the course of several more months. Upon the completion of the project, production of the Elryssiane began on a limited trial basis.

With the success of the project, the Elryssiane were quickly integrated into Kainate service, their powerful telepathic abilities making them ideal for service within the Saaraishash, the Medicae Directorate, the Immortal Legions, and other Kainate organizations as hypnotists, interrogators, mentalists, infiltrators, diplomats, and other specialized roles.

The Elryssiane came to represent a rare aspect of Kainate genetic mastery: not merely weaponized organisms, but living instruments of the Dark Dyad’s eschatology. Not intended for mass-production like strand-cast soldiers or Sithspawn beasts, their numbers remain deliberately limited, with breeding and synthesis tightly controlled through a mix of parthenogenetic genesis and selective pairings. Each Elryssiane is a rarity, a prized resource to be deployed by the Dark Dyad where their powerful telepathic talents could be wielded to devastating effect.
