ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Strengths:
  • Heavily Armed - The Elidibus is equipped with state of the art weapon technology provided by Taeli Raaf's own company, Aurora Industries. While not as heavily armed as the Emperor's or the Shadow Hand's ships, the Elidibus still can outgun most other ships besides more offensively minded Super Star Destroyers.
  • Extremely Well Defended - Due to the primary function the Lady of Secrets intended for the Elidibus, the ship is extremely well defended. Triple-layered armor and hull plating, with even more placed around the actual lab areas to make sure they are not breached from an enemy attack easily, advanced shield systems, EWAR countermeasures, and a plethora of internal security make the ship an extremely tough nut to crack.
  • Stealth Systems - Keeping in mind her desire for secrecy, it is her title after all, Taeli Raaf had several stealth systems included in the design of the Elidibus. Specifically, Nebulous cloaking devices augmented with gravitic modulators and thermal dissipators make the ship quite hard to detect.
  • AI Enhanced - To manage everything that occurs on and around the Elidibus, Taeli Raaf and her engineers created and installed an advanced AI named MORGAUSE to oversee and assist with both tactical and scientific experiences and data analysis.
  • Science Focus - The crux of the design, the interior portions of the Elidibus are laboratories and fabrication facilities that are assigned research and development into all kinds of projects. Ranging from weapons and other technologies to alchemical creations, the ship has state of the art facilities to cater to the needs of the scientists, engineers, and alchemists on board, and what it does not provide material wise can be made with the onboard molecular furnace.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Maneuverability - Due to the size and armor of the ship, the Elidibus is rather poor at turning or performing maneuvers that require more immediate action.
  • Low Speed - Due to the size and armor of the ship, the Elidibus is rather on the slow side when it comes to ships. It will not be outrunning anything anytime soon.
  • Gaps in the Stealth - While the ship does have a comprehensive stealth system, there is a gap where the ship's emissions can still be tracked if one tunes their sensors to look for them. Also, if the cloak is engaged and the weapons are fired, they will temporarily reveal themselves before disappearing, looking for the world like they are guns floating in space.
  • Design Flaw - Like many ships based on Imperial designs, the Elidibus suffers from a blind spot in the rear where there are hardly any defensive weapons to stop enemies taking out the engines.
  • Don't Break the Crystals - Due to the many Gravastar Reactors on board that power the myriad weapon, shield, and other systems for the ship, breaking the crystal at the heart of one of these reactors will rapidly disintegrate anything within a 500 to a 1,000-meter radius, severely damaging the ship.
Description:

As part of her reward from the Sith Emperor, [member="Darth Carnifex"], for all her years of service as a spy among the Jedi, her role in perpetuating the fall of the Galactic Alliance during Operation Endgame, and her consistent support of the Sith Empire's goal of expanding across the galaxy, Taeli Raaf, the Lady of Secrets was allowed to commission a vessel to showcase her stature among the Sith. Unlike the Dark Lord or his Shadow Hand, or even Admiral Denko, Taeli was not interested in a warship of overwhelming power. Unlike the Lord Inquisitor, she was not interested in a ship devoted to the work of espionage and electronic warfare. And certainly unlike the Lady Ophidia, she was not desiring a ship that could only be described as a capital killer.

For Taeli, for the ship that would become known as the Elidibus, she wanted something more along her own... pursuits and passions. Working together with the Sith-Imperial Corp of Engineers, her own company of Aurora Industries, and Rear Admiral [member="Fiolette Yvarro"]'s company of Primo Victorian, the new Super Star Destroyer was given life.

The Elidibus, while not as heavily armed as the other Super Star Destroyers being fielded by the Sith Empire, does have sufficiently high firepower, courtesy of the state of the art weapon systems provided by Taeli Raaf's own company. The result is a ship that can still outgun many smaller ships, although it might have some issues against more offensively designed Super Star Destroyers. Where the Elidibus makes up for this slight deficit is the number of defensive measures around the ship.

The new Super Star Destroyer has a triple-layered hull and armor, with a reinforced frame. A shielding system, designed by Primo Victorian, is installed along with backup deflector shield generators. Inside, the ship has a multitude of defensive measures to handle boarders or a containment breach from the ship's primary purpose.

The Elidibus is also outfitted with a comprehensive stealth suite, utilizing a cloaking system designed by Aurora that makes use of Adegan Crystals. Gravitic Modulators and Thermal Dissipators, along with a coating of reflec, also serve to make the ship harder to detect when cloaked. All of these measures have been done to protect the Elidibus and the primary reason for the ship, the laboratories within.

The Elidibus plays host to a number of different research and development labs, all devoted to developing bleeding edge prototypes for the Sith Empire and the Lady of Secrets. Alchemical labs are also located deep within the ship, places where the Lady of Secrets and her Sith Adepts work on new horrific Sithspawn and continue their mission to expand the knowledge of Sith Alchemy and Magic beyond the current understanding.

To assist in running the ship, Taeli and her engineers introduced the first AI ever developed by Aurora Industries. The AI, named MORGAUSE, is designed to handle the massive amounts of data generated by the ship and all the experiments, processing and assisting with specialized analysis. MORGAUSE is also useful when it comes to analyzing and providing tactical information during a time of combat.

The Elidibus is everything she could have hoped for in a command ship, and its location is always shifting, with only the Emperor, his Shadow Hand [member="Darth Prazutis"], and the Lord Inquisitor [member="Darth Saarai"] being the only other Sith to know at all times.
