STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost! - Having spent years within the Netherworld and faced with all kinds of spirits, demons and ne'erdowells within its bounds, the unknown no longer frightens Elias.

+No One Hits Like Eli - In a fight, Elias is a serious bruiser, letting absolutely nothing hold him back. He cares little for etiquette or civility, or being boxed in by forms or techniques. This allows him to deal out severe damage when others might practice restraint or disengage instead.

+/-I Wanna Be The Very Best - Strength and power are what Elias craves the most. His struggle for survival, both then and now, rests upon these laurels, and Elias will do whatever it takes to pursue them. No high is too high, and no low is too low.

-Is This Real Life? - For Elias, the truth of reality is a little fuzzy. This can cause him confusion, or cause him to think or say things that aren't true, but aren't intentional lies either.

-I've Got a Blank Space - His exile in the Netherworld fractured Elias' memories and personality, and separated him from his twin brother. While he is aware he is missing parts of himself, he knows not what, and it drives him to fill the hole in his life by other means.

APPEARANCE
Casual eyes might pass over Elias as just another human, but the more curious would see a determined youth, radiating passion larger than his lean, 5'7" frame would imply. His mane of hair, curly and voluminous, adds another couple inches to his size, framing a tan, freckled face with haunted, blue eyes, and oft-pressed, thin lips. He typically dresses exotically, if perhaps flamboyantly, and appears to be unconcerned with any attention this may draw.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born 45 minutes before his fraternal twin, Jerek, Elias Zenduu has always felt destined for greatness. Through conflict and strife, Elias held his head high through a tumultous childhood, reveling through normalacy and hardship alike.

When he and his brother were taken to the Jedi Temple on Ossus when they were just eight years old, Elias took it as a sign that he was where he belonged. The Jedi were powerful beings, and despite the rumors he had heard time and again, seeing them perform feats of greatness up close defied even his wildest expectations. Elias found a drive that carried him to the top of his class, and unsatisfied with the meager challenges his peers had to offer, began to seek out older students to fight. Nothing would deny his ambition, not even mere defeat.

Yet Elias could not have fathomed just how much defeat could break a being. When the depths of the Netherworld opened up, he was swallowed whole, ripped from the world into a frightening miasma of chaos. Even a tough, ambitious child could not withstand the horrors wreaked upon spirits there. His personality was weathered, his identity was stripped, and his very sense of being was lost to the rolling tides of the Nether.

Eventually, the being once known as Elias felt the tides weaken. Gradually, a sense of being returned, though devoid of what he once was. He was capable of movement, of thought, of responding to his basest of needs, but apart from that he was a mere shell of himself. A void where once there was a boy. The void moved within the sea of the Nether. Sometimes it encountered others. Sometimes it was alone. But a nagging sense always drew it onward, seeking something it had once known.

At times, the void encountered others. Some were other spirits, like himself. He found he could draw on those weaker for energy, subsuming them into his own, and grow stronger as a result. As he did so, his thoughts began to coalesce, focus. He felt memories now at the edge of his mind, though they eluded his grasp. Still, onward he sought.

Other times, those the void encountered were whole beings, solid in form. They seemed to speak to him in tongues he thought he should understand, but the meanings escaped him. But their presence was enchanting, and the void felt himself drawn back to them time and time again. The more time he spent around them, the more he felt he could understand them. And the more he could understand them, the more he could understand himself.

Memories returned slowly, but messy and jumbled. As they did, he began to see the figures within. A Master from the Jedi Temple. His parents. Jerek. They appeared to him as spirits, as beings, as real and not real. They grew in clarity as he did, but that only served to increase his confusion. He began to understand himself, the boy called Elias, and who he had been. He also began to understand that he was no longer with those figures, those people. But at times, they came before him, so they must be in the Nether as well. Or perhaps they had never existed at all, and his mind had only created them.

The confusion that Elias suffered drove him to seek clarity. He sought it in numerous ways, but one stuck out. By re-enacting some of his memories, Elias found himself returning to the forms and techniques he had been taught with the Jedi. The word Jedi no longer held meaning for him, but the movements and techniques became a bridge to better understanding for the boy. He discovered a lightsaber, whether one real or not real he could not tell, but Elias was soon able to practice and improve his combat skills with a lightsaber.

These tools equipped him for better encounters. No longer was Elias forced to fight others, spirits or beings both, with only his very essence. Instead, he could wield a weapon, a lightsaber or the Force, to bring others to his knees. He learned to tame the currents of the Nether's chaos, riding them when before he had been swept along. With these advances, survival against others became conquest over them. Conquest over others became victory over his greatest defeat.

Yet the Netherworld was never meant to hold a solid being from reality, and the veil between them had been weakened in a calamity. Elias had survived after the calamity for however long, growing in memory, in strength, in purpose. Ambition drove him onward, seeking higher challenges, and breaking into the realm beyond was a high challenge to test himself upon. He fought, he strengthened, he searched, and eventually Elias discovered a crack. It was small, only a small stream could flow between worlds, but he fell upon it. Elias attacked the crack with all his might, with all his mind, with his very essence. And, finally, he broke through.

Reality was far different than his memories had suggested. It was too calm and peaceful, and Elias felt at once too vulnerable and weak. The Nether had been as much comfortable as it was chaotic, and once again in reality Elias found he was unequipped to cope. In this, he was aided by a solid being who called himself Micah. He claimed to be a Cathar, and a member of the Sith Empire, but more importantly he demonstrated power he called Sith Magic. Elias at once felt drawn to Micah, and the power he could wield.
