Elbow room – that's what people want

Maja gave [member="Glyph"] a sideways glance. She'd been around the block a few times and could tell the signs. Part of her wanted to tell him to back-off. She didn't have time for this. But the Star Forge sounded exciting and she didn't want to upset him. He was kind of cute.

"OK," she said, cocking her head to one side and giving him a sideways glance. "Picnic, stars and then the Star Forge. But where are we going to get a picnic from?"

[member="Maja Vern"]

"You didn't think i was living in those ruins without food, atleast i wish i could, that would the coolest thing to not have to eat and never change in health or appearance... then again i might never have a nerf steak again if that happened and that would be disappointing... what was i saying." He has gotten so into the though he actually forgot what it was they had been talking about just a moment ago and had to stand there for a moment before snapping his fingers. "Right food, ya, i mean i have ration bars and i could kill a Kath Hound if i got real hungry so... i guess i don't really have a picnic, sorry about that. Worse comes to worse we can go to the space port asking for brains and saying with have the Rakghoul Plague, pretty sure that could get us free food... or a bullet to the head, but im confident on the first."

Maja shook her head. Boys? She had brought her own food, but that would have been too easy. She laughed at his options, a carefree light sound. "Ration bars it is then." She looked in her own bag and pulled out a bottle of water and some candy. "I never leave home without it." She laughed again and her nose wrinkled as she did.

"And how long would it take to cook a Kath Hound? I mean, really?" She waved a candy bar in the air, daring him to take it.

"Well do you want the Galactic standard edible, or my kind of edible, because if its my kind i can do it in an hour, if you want what most people consider edible you are going to need a time machine and a way to get three hundred years into the future." He smiled and ducked as they reached the mouth of the cave, covering his eyes as the light from the sun hit them, narrowing them a bit against the change in light. "Let see, the glade, now where was it again." He started walking in a circle with his eyes turned to the sky and judging the direction as the sun moved over them. "Oh, and i wasn't kidding about the Kath Hound, unless you are sure you can stomach my cooking i suggest the ration bars."

"Your kind of edible sounds like it'll kill me. I can live on ration bars. I've eaten a lost worse." She watched him circle around, "And are you sure you're not lost?" In truth she trusted him but she was enjoying teasing him too much.

He stopped with his back to her and looked over his shoulder slowly with a wide, somewhat disturbingly so wide, grin on his face. "Sorry, got a bit lost there, did you say something?" He laughed to himself but turned so that his body faced her completely and tilted his head to the side before continuing with what was said before hand. "Sorry, bit odd myself its a habit of mine that i use to keep people off their toes when around me... or atleast thats what the voices tell me, its your turn to figure out if im telling the truth." He smiled and turned again, starting to walk for the glade he was talking about, where the sun and the stars were like a perfect painting in the sky.

Cute was blending into slightly odd. That was still OK - Maja knew she wasn't the most transparent or standard of characters herself. Anyone who said they understood her was either mad or lying.

She started to twirl around, as if in the centre of the circle he was walking. Her arms were outstretched and she sang quietly as she did. As she moved, the stars started to blur. "They're so pretty from down here," she said. Realising he had started to walk off, she stopped and shouted out, "Hey, wait for me..."

"Hurry it up crimson, you are quite a slow poke." He smiled and turned around as he started walking backwards, his grin wide as he stared at her for a moment before tapping his cheek and spinning. Laughing as he started off in the direction once more, eyes bright and after a moment they slid shut and cut off the light from the outside world.

Maja laughed. She had to admit he was fun - much more so than the last Jedi she'd run into. He was soooo serious and boring with it. And uptight. But [member="Glyph"] made her laugh and that was all she wanted at this point in her life. She was carefree and suddenly had reason to look forward in her life. But that future was potentially bleak, she'd already contemplated where she had to go next, so for today, she needed a distraction and ration bars under the stars fitted the bill perfectly. Plus she'd heard of Darth Revan and this StarForge too.

"Why do you close your eyes?"

[member="Maja Vern"]

He tilted his head back at her, still smiling and eyes still shut as he spoke. "Well, the simple answer for that is because i do it so that i can see. But not see in the sense that you see right now. I look into the force... its easy because of who my mother was. Im part Miralukan... well half... i have a decent amount of trouble reading without glasses and i make up for the natural sight loss with auditory enhancement... you know better hearing and what not... what was i talking about?"

Maja listened to [member="Glyph"]. She'd heard of Miralukan but never met one before. At least she didn't think so. "So this ability of yours, it doesn't help with your memory then." She laughed and danced around him again. "Can anyone see with the Force. I mean if they can connect to it?"

"I would suppose so, i mean it really is hard to explain how to do it... it like if I asked how you know how to breath or how you move your arms. It is simply natural to me at this point... I could try to teach you though."

[member="Maja Vern"]

Maja narrowed her eyes at him. There was a question on her lips and she just had to vocalise it. "You know when you connect to the Force. Does everyone do it the same. I mean, I've heard of Light-side and Dark-side. Can both...sides...use this power?"

[member="Glyph"]

[member="Maja Vern"]

"I would hope so, otherwise my study into the darkside must be karking up my vision where im delusional, you aren't really here, are you. All made up in my lonely little head and you are just making me feel better to think im not actually alone here ehh?" He was joking, mostly, he had started seeing things that werent there but most disappeared after this long and never had this much creativity, so he assumed she was real... right? "Oh, and stop feeling so loud, it hurts my head when people feel too loudly."

Maja - for once, was stumped for words. She didn't know where Glyph's joking ended and the facts began. Which was frustrating, which in turn simply made her grumpy.

So she folded her arms and stared at him for a few moments. What was it with the Force? Why couldn't people give you a straight answer once in a while?

[member="Glyph"]

"Maybe a please will work better, as i seem to still be feeling... frustration or is it simply my mind playing tricks on me over what you are feeling Crimson? If it is your frustration you have yet to see what i am like when i am acting in a sane fashion and not running ammuck with my words and thoughts so they arent always the clearest things. There is just too much going on in my head that i can never truly keep my mind as focused on ideal conversation... you have held it longer then most though so i must say i aim impressed crimson."

[member="Maja Vern"]

Maja stared at [member="Glyph"] "Can you really sense what I'm thinking...please.". She added the pleasantry at the end for effect. Cute had suddenly become enigmatic. And she had no time for that. "Can you teach me stuff of not...please." This time she meant it. "And can any Force-sensitive learn it, or do you have to be a Jedi?"

[member="Maja Vern"]

"What you are thinking, no no no, i don't know what you are thinking. I was born with the ability to connect to someone's emotions and feel them or amplify them... or even show them my emotional state. There is a force power that is like this, but what i do is not the force power, atleast i don't think it is... and stop saying please Crimson. Firstly i you have no reason to say please, and secondly, i know that you are forcing them. And anything i know you can learn too... you are mistaking me for a Jedi Crimson, and you really shouldn't."

Maja gave [member="Glyph"] a half-smile. She preferred him slightly grumpy to enigmatic. So she bit into her candy bar and through a full mouth said, "No more pleases or thank-yous. Agreed."

"So where to next? The Star Forge?"

"Well not the actual star forge itself, more so just the ruins as finding the Star Forge is pretty much impossible due to their being blown to bits several thousands of years ago. No what we are going to look for are the ancient star maps that was used to find the star forge and to see if they still work. Imagine it, a creation that is older than the republic itself, still able to work... or were the star maps made during revan's time... hmm." Glyph stroked his chin in curiosity. "Probably not."
