Elbow room – that's what people want

Her inquisitive mind had already moved way past the gun in the stomach. Plus, he wasn't whiney like the last boy she'd met that talked about the Force.

"But...but what if I wanted power and wealth. And made sure I didn't become greedy, I didn't hurt anyone. Isn't that possible? I refuse to accept it's not!" Her petulant side rose up again, her jaw jutted out defiantly and her tone was now abrupt, challenging.

He smiled and brought his hands together. "IF you want that, you cannot be ignorant of the others around you, and im sorry but your ignorance is only going to go so far. Oh, and you're cute when you are defiant, make sure to stay that way miss Maja." He smiled and stood up slowly, dusting himself off before going to see what he could find at this time, pushing his rather thin body into a crevice and seeing what he could find in the hole, his head turning to look at her. "Hey, can you come over here to help me with this please." He started to pull at a stone, a bit too weak to pull it out himself.

Maja was glad he changed the subject. She'd spoken long and hard about the Force with someone whose opinion she valued infinitely more than this boy. But sometimes, when you seek an answer that you know is impossible, you still go searching.

She missed Alexandra. She had a sister now - but a sister that was always so busy. She'd lavished her with physical things but Maja craved company. No, not company. She wanted to be special to someone. For them to lavish their time on her. And money of course!

So she follows him over to where he stood. She was naturally dexterous - although she was still oblivious to the why that related to her genes - but he seemed to be doing OK by himself. But he needed help and so she squeezed in beside him, oblivious of the close contact - her interest in what he had found far more enticing. "1-2-3" she counted and then she pulled on the stone with all her might.

Glyph felt her squeeze in beside him, blinking for a moment as the act was really rather unneeded but he shook off the thought, listening as she counted off and pulled with him to get the stone away, after a moment it would budge and come out of its place, suddenly so that Glyph himself would fall back alittle bit, laughing as he landed on his backside. Shocking off the bit of shock he moved towards what he was trying to get at, getting into the larger opening and pulling out files he found. Most were broken, but one still looked like it could possible work. "Well well well, it seems getting close to you helped in the end. Want to check out whats on the file?"

Maja beamed with delight. A genuine find. Sometimes long shots paid off. "You bet," she said as he held up their find. "What do you think it might be?"

In truth she had no expectation of what might even be on the file, but Glyph's excitement was infectious and anything connected to the Jedi had to be worth something, right?

"Well, how about we take a look and see... could possiby be as simple as a map of the surrounding area... or more... look at this." He smiled and moved the data pad oover for her to see what was on there, clear mention and coordinates for a crystal cave not far from the ruined temple. "I wonder if there is still anything in there... think of what we could find..." He looked up, the excitement barely held in as he looked up at Maja with bright eyes.

A crystal cave? She didn't know much about the Force - but she knew crystals were valuable. Very valuable.

"Are you sure? Crystals as in lightsaber crystals? Are they worth anything?" No need to let him know what she knew, right? She squinted at the map. Could she dump him and go herself? No, she needed someone with knowledge of the Force - just in case...

"Lead on."

"Correct, the very thing that marks a forceuser is the color of their sabers, some choose for their affliation, some their presence in the force, some for the meaning behind their position or being, and some just because they look cool... i like the last reason best, wouldn't you?" He looked up at her with a cocked brow, stowing the datapad at his hip and smiling wide as he started to stand. "Well then Crimson, or should i call you Hot Head now, both work. Either way, how about we get going, need to sate that curiosity of yours, and be a bit happier, you look like you saw death and are next on his list." The hybrid laughed again, a kind, soft, and gentle laugh that was filled with the same carefree spirit that inhabited his very words.

Maja hadn't thought about the colour of her lightsaber. In fact, she hadn't even thought too much about having one - she'd yet to receive any formal training. Her only uses of the Force to date had been subconscious.

But what colour would she choose? It had to be red. Saliva had hinted at it. But judging by this boy's demeanour, he probably wouldn't take kindly to that answer. "Yeah, cool works for me." Her voice was light and upbeat.

But at his next statement her brows wrinkled and she glowered at the ground. "If death comes calling, he'd better be the one to be afraid." And the scary fact was, she sounded like she meant and believed it. But she turned it immediately into a smile. "Come on then what are you waiting for?"

Glyph smiled and patted her on the back before grabbing his cloak, putting a fresh powerpack in the pistol just in case, and clipping his saber to his belt, making sure it was secured. "Hope you don't mind taking a speeder to the site with me, i don't feel like walking." He smiled, seeing if she would answer. She could walk if she wanted, he would wait for her outside the cave, but he rather take the speeder and if she agreed she would need to hold on as he was not going to take it slow. It didn't really matter too him but soon he did find that he was being extremely open with her so far, sure he had a feeling he could easily beat her if she tried anything, but why was he being liked this for someone who was really just a pest to most people... odd.

She noted the now-armed blaster and the lightsaber. He clearly had the upper hand in any contract negotiations, so she'd have to see how generous she could make him feel.

Maja didn't argue about the choice of transport. Anywhere that required a speeder to get to did not deserve to be walked to! "I'm up for the speeder. Do you go fast?" She remembered her last journey on that mode of transport. Totally exhilarating and she felt totally safe. But what were the odds of lightning striking twice? "Do you want me to drive?" she offered, more in hope than expectation.

His grin ever wider with her words, his eyes brightening as the girl did not realize how dangerous he was on a speeder. But she looked more excited than he was and this drew a million times more interest than not, so much so he decided he would not hold back at all when it came to the ride and made sure to look for the scenic route. With that done he smiled and threw his leg over it before patting the spot infront of him, smiling as she would now have to realize he did not have a two seated speeder like she had done with Alex, but rather a speederbike that he was having her sit infront of him for so she did not fly off behind him. "Once you take a seat we can get going Crimson, and i promise to be on good behavior... past scaring you poodooless with the ride."

Crimson...Crimson. It had a nice ring to it. Darth Crimson? She tried it on for size. She discarded it for being too obvious.

She was brought back to the here and now by the speeder in front of her. This was more like a swoop bike. But then it might be fun. She wasn't sure what Glyph was expecting but she was actually looking forward to the notion. So she hopped on without waiting to be asked twice.

"Just how fast does it go?" she asked, her voice revealing her excitement for the journey.

He smiled as she said that, even if her voice hadn't betrayed her, glyph's own empathy picked up on her feelInga immediately. With that his own grin grew till he looked like he was half mad, his hand tightening on the grips before his eyes lit up with the same excitement. "I suggest you hang on to something crimson." With that he didn't even hesitate before gunning it and letting the speeder dart along the plains of the planet, and towards the network of ruins and tiny valleys near the ruined temple.

Corvus relaxed back into the boy behind her. At these speeds, the forces of physics ought to keep her in place, but she grabbed a hold of something that looked like it didn't perform any function in controlling the speeder and let out a holler.

Maja loved speed and the thrill and excitement of wind in her hair. Of late, she'd enjoyed freedom of so many sorts and this was just another layer. As the ground sped past only a few feet away, they moved out onto the open plains. The speed appeared to drop because of the openness of the terrain but once they reached the first valley, she felt her fingers grip the bike properly for the first time. This was scary - and she loved it. Again she cried out with exhilaration, and gazed in wonder at the network of ruins as they passed them by.

Glyph watched her while they were still on the plains, seeing her react and finding himself laughing and shouting with her as his arms wrapped around her to both keep her on the speeder as well as it was logically the only way he could hold onto the controls. He noticed her hair was getting in the way though, forcing him to reach up and pull it out of the way quick before resting his face over her right shoulder, ignoring the fact of how close they were due to his need for pure focus on speeding through the ruins and valleys. He focused purely on that, his hands working to avoid everything as the area the Crystal Cave was in came up. With that he killed the engine suddenly and gripped the controls tight, both to keep himself and his new friend in the seat as the speeder would suddenly lurch forward and threw anything not secured off of it.

Maja laughed and laughed. She hadn't been this carefree in such a long time. Glyph was OK. He wasn't Alexandra or Silara and that was a bonus. With them she felt she owed them something. She had to in some way reward them for being who they were to and for her. But Glyph was just a free spirit like her. No strings - just out for a good time.

"Perhaps I should drive it on the way back? See how fast it really goes?" She smiled playfully at him. She knew he'd been pushing it as far as the bike would take it and she was acknowledging the fact.

"So...how do Force crystal caves work then? Are there different types, and what about colours? Tell me more." She literally danced around him as she peppered him with questions. Her mind was still a sponge, and she craved knowledge.

He watched her, his voice lost in his throat as he watched her dance around him with the questions, watched her so excited and carefree that he lost himself in the scene for a few moments before looking own and hiding his face under the guise of making sure everything was calibrated right. "Err uh ya, you can be the one to drive back to the temple ruins after we are done... and i dont know how the crystal cave works... I do believe that most Adegan crystals and those of various type can form to enhance a blade's color, length, power output. Just uh, go on ahead crimson, ill catch up after i check the... engine, ya, the engine." He continued to work on the bike and tried not to poke his head out of hiding.

As she approached the cave that looked as though it had been burrowed into the earth, Maja was full of wonder. She’d seen lightsabers now and heard of their crystals – but had no concept of how they were found or what to look for. Logic said they grew somewhere like here – but were they buried in the rock and had to be blasted out, or did they grow from the ceiling or the ground, or – being the Force and all that, was there something magical about how they developed. Did you have to be Force sensitive to take one or even see one?

So she walked forward, no sense of danger or caution. No consideration that there might be other people or creatures ahead.

Once her eyes grew accustomed to the dark, she was aware she was in a long tunnel that soon branched off on regular intervals. She continued to walk, [member="Glyph"] would catch her up soon enough. And there was no logic to her choice of direction for once. Instead she relied on…she didn’t know how to describe it exactly. It was more than a gut feel. Something was either guiding or attracting her. She wondered if this was the Force?

Ahead the tunnel looked to be attached to a large chamber and there was a glow coming from up ahead. She was captivated – so much so that she was unaware of the large and light yellow-brown four – legged arachnoid that was stalking her from behind.

Glyph gathered himself outside of the cave and smiled like a hyena before he finally back to normal and not red. He found his eyes reaching for the cave now and slowly moved towards the entrance with one hand on his blaster and his other on his saber. His eyes slowly adjusted as he reached out and relied on his force sight over that of his physical eyes and looking at the walls as he walked. He could see a massive light in the force, a collection of energy that found its way and held there like a beacon in the middle of nothing, and moving towards it was two signatures that he could see.... wait two. His eyes opened and he started running, hands tearing blade and blaster from his sides before activating them and suddenly activating the blade as he would come into Maja's sight and likely looked like he was going to strike at her. That was until he land on and impaled the arachnoid from the top, placing a blaster to its head and unloading several shots into it, not sure if this would do anything to it.
