SPECIAL FEATURES
:Multiple Fire Modes:
Far-Fire - A fairly simple mode of fire, and the default. Delivers single, high-accuracy shots.
Automatic - As the name implies, this mode of fire lets out multiple shots in rapid succession. Accuracy in this mode is reduced slightly compared to this previous.

:Field Repairs And Modability:
The EL-VIA-1 was designed with field repair and modability in mind, making it ideal in long combat engagements. For this reason, It's compatible with most common repair kits, as well as blaster components and fixtures.

STRENGTHS

  • High Accuracy - Has high accuracy functions, allowing for long-range shots to be delivered.
  • Low Recoil - Is relatively low recoil, making handling and overall comfort of the blaster better.
  • Hair Trigger - The typical, unmodded build of the EL-VIA-1 includes a hair trigger system, allowing for even quicker firing.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Ammo Capacity - A major design flaw of the blaster is its ammo capacity(100 shots), being lackluster compared to average blasters(300-500 shots). Alongside this, it also lacks the means to modify the ammo count, keeping it locked at its base capacity.
  • Company limitation - A rather prideful flaw of the weapon, is the ammo it takes. While it does take gas canisters like most blaster weaponry, they are company-specific, only taking ones produced by Ephraim Labors. This flaw can be modded out but takes quite a lot of skill and if done improperly it can severely damage the blaster.

DESCRIPTION
Fairly standard as most blasters go, designed with versatility in mind, the EL-VIA-1(Known commonly as the VIA-1) is the first marketed piece of equipment by Ephraim Labors. It has no truly detrimental design flaws. The ammo limitations are fairly harmful to the consumer, but the blaster was never really designed with the consumer in mind. Something interesting to note about the blaster is its resemblance to a common slug thrower. There's no utility in this choice, aside from aesthetics, but it's the first thing that many notice when seeing the weapon. While the blaster can be sold to anyone, it's clearly meant for military use. A minor limitation the VIA-1 faces is its hair-trigger system. While a strength in practice, it can be very dangerous when handled by an untrained individual.

A story that circulates around the company tells of a tester who was unaware of this system. This has since been disproven but has created an inside joke among the company, calling it the 'Buyer's Surprise'. This even led to many in R&D wanting to call it the 'BS Blaster Pistol'. This name choice was scrapped for obvious reasons.

A last note that some consumers find interesting is the ammunition capacity. While some speculate that this is caused by its high accuracy function, that isn't so. Some believe that it may be caused by an increased damage output, but the weapon when tested shows consistent damage with most commercial blasters. The flaw gets even more interesting when modifying the canister slot for a wider range of common canisters. Despite the alterations, the count remains the same. Whether some unknown design issue or a problem with the components used in the creation, it's still unknown what exactly causes this. A popular theory, however, connects the company limitation to the stunted ammo count. This theory lacks research, however, leaving the issue, ultimately in the dark.

Thanks! Changed recoil from low to high. Forgot to change production from unique to limited in the spreadsheet. arghh, if I had a nickel for every time that happened.
