Culture: Planet was settled by Atrisian Monks and their supporters, so the signs of their faith remain everywhere. The monks practise Yong Jiu. The monks practised meditation and martial training to perfed mind, body, and spirit. The followers Yong Jiu had many religious ceremonies, some of which required traveling to a shrine for prayer. To help the populace who could not travel to the monasteries, many monks were sent out into the cities to maintain small shrine temples. In return the citizens would donate money to the shrines, which supported the Yong Jiu faith as a whole. This balance kept the people of the planet strong spiritually throughout their history, even as the population expanded.
Technology: Technology had become advanced enough to allow air travel and grand buildings before the populace vanished.
History: Early in the Atrisian Empire's history, even before the Republic was formed, the primary faith of Atrisia was practised by monks who would schedule themselves from the world to seek inner peace. As Atrisia grew more advanced, the monks could not remain secluded. Finally, fearing their faith was at risk, thousands of monks and tens of thousands of their supporters sold everything they had to purchase a ship to take them away. After many decades of travel they finally reached the system they would name Eisei.

The planet was devoid of life, forcing the natives to start from scratch. They had brought seeds and some small animals from Atrisia, but it would take many years for them to cultivate enough life for the colonists to survive. Eventually the plant and animal life took and began to flourish on their own. The monks built grand monasteries atop mountains, and the rest built villages and towns at the bases of the mountains using pieces of their original ship.

A thousand years passed, and the population expanded. The monks remained the spiritual leaders of the people, but the towns and cities elected mayors to lead them in matters of state. Slowly they began adopting the more advanced technology they had abandoned a millenium ago creating larger and larger cities when one day everyone vanished.

It is unknown exactly what caused the population to disappear so suddenly, no records on the planet detail the account. Perhaps the recent incident that swept so many to the Netherworld had occurred before, perhaps another advanced species had swept through and collected the people before they had a chance to fight back. The end result is a planet that has remained untouched for thousands of years, its ancient buildings still standings their durable materials resisting the native life.

Isolated and devoid of sentient life as it was, the Gulag Plague never touched the planet. Eisei remains unknown to the Galaxy to this day.

Notable PCs: None
Intent: The intent is to give a new home for the Atrisian Empire, in a more peaceful part of the Galaxy.

Alright, two things need to be changed before I can stamp this:

First, you need to expand a bit on the culture. Second, the history needs to either mention how the world as affected by the Gulag Plague / 400 Years' Darkness -or- that it was isolated during this period. Otherwise everything else checks out.

I understand what your intent is here, and I like this pretty much except for the dating and location.

  • Atrisia and this place are on the opposite sides of the galaxy. Surely there would have been more logical places to go in between?
  • When did this migration take place?

Other than that, nice work.

Sorry for the wait [member="Valiens Nantaris"].

To answer both issues, the history says it happened before the Galactic Republic was formed (so between 25,200 and 25,000 BBY based off the first Atrisian Empire). I don't really like giving specific dates when details are so sparse for that time period, but I can if needed. Since it did happen so long ago the Galaxy was not as explored, requiring the colonists to wander for decades as mentioned in the history. There might have been other planets along the way that would have worked, they simply did not run across any of them.
