Edge of the Galaxy: Chapter One: Infestation

She glared back to see Jak fall and swore.

"Feth!"

Then she doubled back, covered under the hail of fire from Formorta. At this point the only thing holding the deranged Captain upright was the force. She was immersed fully in the flow of the dark energies, drawing strength from some of the darkest fears in her mind. The aliens were certainly one of them and it drove her, like a wild animal intent on survival.

She hauled Jak up on her shoulders like a bag of feathers and took off. Both palms arced back emitting the last of what she had in her. Her skin overheated, searing with burns all over. The lightning sickly purple and green bounced over the bulkheads and up the ceilings of the station. It sought it's way across the floor like a wave of multi colored spider webs, striking aliens and rending flesh under the pure thermal power.

"C'mon, let's go!!!!"

Her every hair stood on end. Her lungs burned, and her skin oozed sweat from every pore. Acid blood washed through every vein and capillary amplifying the pain. Then she was there, at the ramp. Jak and her fell just inside the cargo bay. The force finally let go of her, every last bit of her spent. A black tunnel closed in,

And then she was out, knocked into unconsciousness from the mega exertion.

The droid was glad to see the ship, finally no more wasting energy to protect a group instead of the obvious tactic that implied flying away into the abyss. For now though, forming up with [member="Formorta"] the fight only intensified. Unlike the droid's comrades, it had infinite ammo, unless the charge of its battery pack was a factor. This made it so easy to spray blaster bolts at everything whilst actually contributing to the total kill count.

Dodger slowly walked back to the opened ship, fairly confident that the situation would go real smooth... All the way up until [member="Jak Sandrow"] collapsed, seemingly enraging the aliens to a higher level as they began to close in at a much faster pace.

"Uh oh." The droid silently exclaimed, calculating the best course of action.

The choice was taken to briefly engage in a melee with some of the more threatening, close aliens. Two blades flipped out from Dodger's arms and the battle commenced, which did divert some of the attention towards the jump droid as it was seen as a threat. Acid blood flew everywhere as the droid fought with acrobatic sense, the substance charring the limited armor that it possessed, proving to be quite the battle scars that were slowly becoming critical as the fight went on.

Then, a whole group of the things began to get struck by what seemed like lightning! A saving grace from [member="Valeria Skyrender"] who also collapsed, but inside the ship, and with Jak in hand.

"Roger Roger!"

Signature words the droid spoke as it ascended in a jump, turning towards the ship and activating full thruster power, a move that ended in the droid going straight into the interior wall with a loud clang.

Years of inactivity had dampened it's logic circuits.

Her eyes never wavered from her targets, placing blaster bolts between the Xenos eye, or what she assumed to be their eyes, all the while slowly backing up towards the ship. That was until [member="Jak Sandrow"] collapsed under the stress of the aliens constant barrage on his force shield, "Fuck me dead". [member="Valeria Skyrender"] made a mad dash for the fallen Jedi as her blasters contused to work over time, [member="B1-A-90"] getting into close combat, slicing through the wave of incoming aliens.

The xenos where getting closer, and Formorta had to contemplate weather or not to engage in CQC, but not before a huge lighting storm was realized by skyrender, sending the incoming beasts sprawling to the ground in pain. It was time to leave, and once again Formorta would leave a present behind for the disgusting things. As the B1 shoot past her grapple hook extended, clamping into its right shoulder and pulling the veteran mercenary along at high speeds, but not before she set down several stun grenades.

As they made their way into the craft the cable on the droid released, letting Formorta fall, rolling backwards up the rap, stopping just inside as the door started to close, giving the Xenos on last stare before detonating the stun detonators. The sound of muffled screaming filled the hanger, the aliens no doubt in pain and confused, Formorta's red eye looked back to the group, two were knocked out and the B1 was lodged into the wall, ".... I guess it's up to me to fly dish ship, no"?

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak weakly got to his feet, and immediately sank back to his knees. "... Just get us out of here..."

He couldn't do much other than sit down and recharge... The mental exertion he had just put himself through was amplified by the fact there was no Force-attuned life anywhere near, besides two of his companions; he had nothing to draw from, nothing to bolster him.

Breathing heavily, he closed his eyes and laid back against the bulkhead of the ship. "...where are we headed...?"
