Shot down - provides a greater range of possibilities than standard point defense cannons, giving the user greater control (Source: DMPCA)
Flexible usage - Has a greater range of uses than regular point defenses. It could be used to shield a weakened ally, provide protection for a royal escort (Source: DMPCA)
- Weaponless- No weaponry systems whatsoever
Vulnerable - The actual being projecting the barrier will always be left vulnerable in several angles due to the nature of design. (Source: DMPCA)

Maximum carrying capacity: 16 B1 Battle droids (Drop pod fitted for this model)
The ED-Drop pod is a fairly bog standard drop pod with one simple task: Deploying as many droids onto a battlefield as possible. Because of this, the actual technical specifications of this have been dropped significantly to ensure that these can be met on a budget. The drop pod works by first launching, with the pod being able to reach atmospheric fighter speeds, then landing and extending its struts before deploying the droids on a ladder like system, with each droid being packed in similar to how the infamous MTT would do so.
All pods have a single use, though after being deployed they can still provide cover using its DMPCA for advancing droids. They need to be removed manually, or they'll be left simply to rot.
