SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Translator; fluent in over seven million forms of communication.
  • Long-range Communications; capable of high powered transmitting and receiving communications, even when having to contend with enemy jamming.
  • Holographic Projector; uses holographic projections to convey visual information such as tactical maps, or physical languages like Twi’lekk headtail movements or spacers handsigns. The holographic projector is highly versatile and is capable of creating an image up to 3 meters large.
  • Mobile; being able to fly in atmosphere and in space, there aren’t many places this droid can’t go.
  • Exclusive Programming; having an Elysium Empire Operating System, this droid can integrate seamlessly with any and all Elysium Empire technologies that also use the same operating system. That is, only so long as security measures aren’t obstructing access.
  • Anti Slicing and Malware software; it is very hard to corrupt or hack the systems on these droids and communications are well encrypted.
  • Etiquette and Protocol; this droid is programmed with a highly comprehensive database of millions of cultures and customs across the galaxy.
STRENGTHS
  • Communications; capable of high powered transmitting and receiving communications, even when having to contend with enemy jamming.
  • Holographic Projector; uses holographic projections to convey visual information such as tactical maps, or physical languages like Twi'lekk headtail movements or spacers handsigns. The holographic projector is highly versatile and is capable of creating an image up to 3 meters large.
  • Mobile; being able to fly in atmosphere and in space, there aren't many places this droid can't go.
  • Anti Slicing and Malware software; it is very hard to corrupt or hack the systems on these droids and communications are well encrypted.
WEAKNESSES
  • Non-combat; since this droid doesn’t sport any “traditionally” offensive weaponry, it can be fairly defenceless on the battlefield
  • Sticks out; being a ball that floats, it’s not uncommon for these droids to get picked off by enemy snipers on the battlefield if its owner is not careful when moving about.
  • Tactical Tattletale; as a rule, on the battlefield, typically only officers keep these droids around, which can give away who your officers are in battle whenever the droids are seen.
  • Individuality; because of the slue of cultural information locked it their databases, each of the droids accidentally generates its own unique personality, which affects how helpful each individual droid is while on the job.
DESCRIPTION
It has been noted that in a galaxy torn by war and sporadically raising and falling factions every year, that communicates have broken down in the galaxy. Focus on developing weapons and defences have pushed protocol and civility to the wayside as factions struggle to fight for dominance in a chaotic galaxy. But sometimes something small can make a big change.

The ECP series protocol droids were originally developed to provide military officers with mobile field translators on foreign worlds where the local languages can hinder foreign aid missions. Naturally, in its usual overachieving way, the Mandal-Elysium Arms corporation took this design to the upper limits of what it can do to make it as useful as possible. It can perform long range communications, strong-arm through comms jamming, project high quality holographic images, and even fly in space. It is, in essence, the ultimate communications/protocol companion that a soldier or diplomat can ask for.

As the name suggests, it is also programmed for etiquette and protocol, to prevent Elysium troops from violating the local customs and traditions of whatever world they are on. However it can be a crapshoot as to how helpful each droid can be. Because of the comprehensive knowledge on many cultures that it contains, each of these droids can have a random personality type based on a random culture file that it has somehow selected indiscriminately upon initial activation. It is impossible to say what each droid is like until the owner gets to know it. Ie: One droid might resemble a gungan personality, while another might talk like a Sith Lord.

I really like the design!
  • The faction's link is broken, please edit it.
  • What you wrote under the Armaments, those are Misc. Equipments, so please move them into that field.
  • The Tightbeam Comlink's link is not from the Wookieepedia, so I can't accept it. Please modify the link.
  • These droids don't need resistance, so i suggest deleting them. Because of:
    • The EMP/Ion is one resistance, not two different.
    • Hacking/malware; there is no such resistance.
Please edit these.
