STRENGTHS
  • Ghost in the Shell: The Eclipse is an extremely advanced next generation armorweave bodysuit designed to give Republic operatives a technological edge without sacrificing on stealth. Packed together so tightly as to be soundless as opposed to typical scale plating, each suit is covered in multiple layers of sensor scattering polymers and equipped with a sonic dampener that eliminates ambient noise in a one meter radius.
  • Enhanced Absorption: Constructed from expensive and difficult to produce Stygian-triprismatic polymer, Eclipe stealth suits provide superior kinetic resistances while maintaining a lightweight flexibility. Extensive anti-ion mesh running layered throughout and combat de-ionizers also shield each operative from ion blasts or electrical discharges.
WEAKNESSES
  • Point Blank: Eclipse suits are not warplate, and at short range its ability to disperse high velocity impacts is much more limited. Both energy and projectile rounds are more effective up close, rendering the bodyglove less effective in melee.
  • Vulnerable Joints: Like all scale plating, the stealth suit's armor polymers are most effective across larger surface areas such as center mass. Absorbing impacts on the extremities and joints can cause significant injury, and they are also vulnerable to sharp enough bladed weapons.
  • Spatial Awareness: Vision through the Eclipse's retractable sensor optics is limited, and taking advantage of the stealth suit's more advanced tracking features limits an operative's peripheral sight lines.
DESCRIPTION

A cutting edge piece of experimental Arkanian forged technology, the Eclipse Mark III Stealth Suit is cutting edge gear only issued to the most highly trained Underground field agents. Sharing some design traditions with earlier versions worn by Galactic Alliance and New Republic SIS operatives, the Mark III is battle tested and rugged enough to survive harsh outer rim environments.. Through expensive microcomputer technology the functionality of a warhelm is more or less recreated in the Eclipse's tactical macrobinoculars. A completely functional holographic blink command operated heads up display is visible through each lens, fully compatible with any Republic issue or modified optical implant. Raising the goggles allows an unrestricted range of vision albeit sans augmented reality.

The Mark III's ultra-lightweight and extraordinarily flexible scale disc polymers allow for enhanced resistances while remaining entirely soundless. A sonic dampening generator attached to each bodysuit blocks out all ambient noise in a one meter radius of the operative, and even the Eclipse's Hush-About AJP-400 personal jetpack comes equipped with auditory dampeners and sound baffling that renders its engine completely silent. These stealth suits' appearances are not always entirely uniform. Each bodyglove is tailor made for its designated recipient, and often modified over time to suit an operative's preferred specializations. Common to all Eclipses however is the additional layer of obsidian reflec coat polymers and the glow from their optics.

[member="Deacon"], Just wanted to point out to you, that you can raise the effectiveness of the ratings for Blaster, and Lightsaber ratings. You have a total of 3 ratings you can bump up. And I specifically mention Blaster and Lightsaber because the Polymer you are using is a version of Duraplast. Which can take quite a beating from plasma/laser based weaponry.

However, if you feel you don't want to bump up those ones, feel free to bump up any others if you would like.

How do you figure on the ratings? Its at limited production which gives me two bumps, but very light which cancels that out. The lower ratings are to make up for the high kinetic and ion resistance. Is there something about the armor balance system that I'm missing?
