Gilad Pallaeon Naval Academy - 0530 Local Time - Saberhing System

Soon to be Lieutenant Thalia Cruz walked down the hall of the dormitory sector sleepily. Today was the day, well she said that every day, but today truly was THE day. Shocktroopers at Derik'hur had the Reach to complete at Fort Derik'hur, the Starfighter Corps had their Grand Slingshot, and the Troopers...Well she wasn't sure they actually had any grand ritualistic final exam. For the Navy though both Navy pilots and Officers had to complete...The Saber. Or Combat Tour Exam 12 if you went by what the grade sheets said...Which was, in her opinion a dreadfully boring name.

With her uniform barely acceptable by Academy Standards and a sleep deprived looking scowl plastered to her slightly tanned face she gave a lazy salute at the door to the cafeteria, eyes pinched closed, and hovered in with a smile as the smell of recently brewed caf danced across her nostrils. Already she felt more alive. For it being so early in the morning, the cafeteria was surprisingly busy, mostly with seniors of the officer program. Before she realized it she had settled by the caf machine, poured herself a mug, and finished her first cup. Slightly more awake than she was a minute ago she took a look up at the large transparisteel viewports that hung above the cafeteria as a pair of X-wings flew silently over head. She imagined the roar of their engines through the filtered lense of an aural sensor and shivered with anticipation.

Soon she and her crewmates would be aboard a warship sim that would emulate a full three theater battle. Navy pilots would be in their flight sims, bridge crew would be there, and Shocktrooper officers would have their choice of commanding from the ground in a simulated forward operating base, or at the bridge. If they all passed that...They'd be headed to the real challenge. The Saber would see them off on a short campaign in a nearby system. She'd heard rumors that the Corellians used captured pirate ships to simulate a battle where the students were out numbered three to one. She'd also heard that they used prisoners and live fire to test the mettle of fresh officers. That last one seemed more like something Lord Admiral Bao would do. She shuddered at the thought.

Either way, her excited brown eyes scanned the room to find any of her crewmates.

"Uhm...Ma'am?" Thalia looked down at her cup to realize her second cup had filled and now it was spilling over the mug, creating a pool of the hot, brown liquid at her feet. She cursed under her breath and quickly fled the scene of the crime.

Today was the day...

The Combat Tour Exam 12. That's what it said on the grade sheets. Was he ready? Benjamin wasn't sure. The young man finished putting on his uniform, making sure that everything was up to regulation. Was he nervous? Hell yes. So much that he barely slept last night, going over the manuals over and over again. How he managed to pass the academy this far was beyond him.

With a goofy smile and a skip in his step he made his way to the cafeteria. As nervous as he was, his excitement overshadowed it. This was something he'd been waiting for since he was a kid.

"Ahem." A voice drew Ben's gaze. "Oh...Oh! Right." Ben said as he gave a sharp salute as he entered. He always forgot that part, a terribly bad habit...or was it memory? Ben shook his head as he looked around the mess hall.

Wow it's busy...

Ben peered around, his blue eyes watching as the other senior officers went about their morning routines. One caught his eye. Well more like earned a laughed, because she hadn't realized her cup of Caf was overflowing. She quickly walked away. Benjamin quickly went to follow her.

He'd seen her around a few times. Cruz if he recalled. "Hey, Cruz." He called after her a little louder than he intended as he caught up. "Hey, uh, you know...you spilled some of your Caf back there..." Ben said as he began to walk in pace with her, giving her a stupid grin.

He glanced around, a lot of the other junior officers seemed to be half asleep. Maybe everyone stayed up late last night.

It's one of life's mysteries, sir...
Corellia were not so different from Denon and the other cosmopolitan worlds that she had visited and got to known through her travels. Being an assistant instructor for a bunch of young guns were more so, and something she had not yet got perfectly used to. She were not associated with the Corellian Navy, but had been recommended by the CIS to be one of the instructors in this class training, a task which she had not instantly accapted without some time of consideration. Sure, she had teached Sherezade but that was all private lessons in a more relaxed enviroment. This task pretty much put her in the position of her own old instructors, and that with a cadet rank herself.

This far into the education and training of the junior lieutenants, most of the young pilots would have been given a chance to get to know her and her background in the Republic and the CIS Navy. For Kath, it was a challenging, yet fun task and a welcome break to be stationed here for a couple of weeks.

In the cafeteria, she observed junior lieutenants Cruz and Garcia at a distance and watched Cruz's unfortunate situation with the caf machine. It was an easy and simple mistake to make, memories of Carida and a smirk came to her before she walked up to the machine with her own tray of breakfast, and dispensed a good healthy cup of caf. She catched up with the young trainees and walked up beside them. She wore her regular steel blue dress uniform with maroon details below the shoulders and around the wrists. Giving Cruz's uniform a short glance, it sure was better ironed as you would expect from an instructor. Kath let it stay as a thought, remembering her own time as a flight cadet. Further more, even though it was barely accepted, it was.

''Good morning, Cruz. Garcia. You're up early? Excited for todays tests?'' she said and offered them two a smile, even if it was a bit early for her too. That morning caf would sit so right in a matter of moments.

Thalia shot a glare up at Ben from beneath her cap and an unruly curl of dark hair. This guy again? Ben was like so many others at the academy, brought in from military families with their way paid in credits or favors. Not unlike herself, but she was different. Humbarine was just a different beast than Corellia. Where most of these cadets had never even seen the business end of a turbolaser, she had already served on two warships, she'd spent a standard year in total serving in Humbarine's navy...Not that she enjoyed it. But she preferred that if she was going to be forced to do this anyways, she'd like to have people who at least knew what they were doing...Like [member="Aeneis Valdemar"] for example. He was strong, experienced, dependable... But Aeneis wasn't bridge crew. He was Shocktrooper Corps...Ben on the other hand...Well she was stuck with him.

She exhaled sharply, blowing the curl out of her face, holding her glare a few more milliseconds before turning her head sharply and setting her two mugs of caf on a food tray.

"Good morning to you too Garcia," she said curtly, ignoring his jab at her spilled coffee. A Mouse Droid was already on clean-up and as long as nobody slipped on it she'd be fine. Why'd he have to bring up her failures this early in the morning?

When Cruz heard a familiar voice she set the tray down, turned around quickly, and saluted.

"Good morning Instructor Foster," she said as enthusiastically as physically possible. Foster was a flight instructor, which meant she had little to really teach bridge crew outside of how not to accidentally shoot down your own fighter screen, but she was likable. At least from Cruz's view. She'd heard horror stories from the pilots about crazy expectations and wacky maneuvers but all Foster ever was to her had been good natured conversation.

"I wouldn't say excited...But I'm ready to start. Sims are nice and all, but we'll only really get to know how to be out there when we're on a ship." Why was she so enthusiastic about this? Its not like she enjoyed the military life. Even the Corellians were rigid when it came to military procedure and tactics, and she'd come here to get away from all that. She shoved the thought back into the pit of her stomach.

Jenica was already seated at one of the tables in the cafeteria. The Corellisi was always up early and dressed for success. Her uniform was well-maintained and physical appearance too with the brunette's long tresses neatly pulled back into a side-rolled bun.

The cadet's datapad was set beside the food tray and eyes were focused on it while eating breakfast at the same time. She was very good at multi-tasking. Jenica didn't like to waste time as it was too valuable to take for granted so studying while doing mundane things was a norm for her especially these days as the final push to graduate from the navel academy was upon them.

Her blue gaze raised up momentarily to see what all the commotion was over at the caf machine... A small grin formed on Jenica's full-lips at the scene unfolding. She shook her dark head chuckling to herself, then took another bite of the nerf sausage on her plate and went back to studying. Thalia and Jen were total opposites, yet she found the other female cadet likable. The young woman made her laugh, something missing while they all were under the microscope as the future fleeters and pilots of the CDF were constantly being evaluated by the instructors.

Academy life was stressful to say the least, but real command and combat was even more so. It was better to find out who cracked under pressure now than when truly under stressful conditions leading to life and death decisions that couldn't be taken back. It also would show who were capable of leading, being team players, and/or just plain power hungry damn the rest.

Jenica had at least been privy to her father's recollections of his service to the Corellian Navy and what it meant before he was killed in action. She was doing this as much for herself as for him. Like father, like daughter.

Gilad Pallaeon Naval Academy - 0630 Local Time - Saberhing System

Zahara had been awarded a tremendous opportunity. Yet again. Today he stood in full dress Uniform at thd Gilad Pallaeon Naval Academy. He was in awe at the structure of the academy. He hadn't been there since he was a young cadet. Since he had taken The Saber. The Saber was a extraneous test that would prove whether or not a Cadet was ready for a field training exercise. He was here to oversee The Saber and take the victors to the field training where they would truly prove themselves. " Commandant Tristan Evore, just the man I wanted to see" he said as he entered the Cafe. " Commadore Myneto, a pleasure" said a older man. The man had been in charge of the school since before Zahara was even born. " Ah yes. A pleasure. I am here to inform you that it is I who will be overseeing the final stages of training for the seinor Cadets." He said firmly " Of Course" the man replied before handing him a roster and image chart. " Good Luck" he replied before leaving. Zahara began his walk to the Command Table when he stepped in a pool of warm brown liquid. A mouse droid was on its way but it seemed that it was a but sluggish and if anyone who was not as careful as him, would have slipped. Ahead were a group of Cadets standing with an Instructor. " Cadets, explain" he said

[member="Jenica Belos"][member="Thalia Cruz"][member="Kathryn Foster"][member="Benjamin Garcia"]

[member="Thalia Cruz"], she was definitely a scary one. Instantly Ben earned a glare from the other Junior Officer. His smile faltered a bit. Was he being rude? Ben scrunched his face for a second before returning to his happy-go-lucky smile. He never really understood why she was so calloused towards him, maybe it was because how different their situations were.

"I-uh-..." Ben began, but he stopped himself when he heard
[member="Kathryn Foster"] greeting them. Benjamin followed suit and turned giving the Instructor a salute. Ben instantly noticed that his fellow cadet seemed way more cheery around the instructor. He let out a small chuckle.

"Kat- I mean Instructor Foster." He grinned. "Of course, The day is finally here, how can one not be excited?" Ben asked. His gaze shifted from Kat to [member="Jenica Belos"], who was another Junior officer. She was busy studying.

Hm. That's what I'd be doing if I remembered my datapad.

He was taken out of his thoughts when a commanding voice sounded. Two words directed at the group 'Cadets, explain.' Benjamin's smile instantly faded, falling into routine.

Benjamin stood at attention and held a salute.

"Sir! it was my fault, I was grabbing a cup of Caf when I got distracted...just a little nervous I guess. It won't happen again, sir!" Benjamin said, his blue eyes meeting the Commander Myneto's.

Luke had been behind Thalia when she had spilled her caf, but he had not paid attention to her sleepiness at all, instead he was reading up on his datapad as much as he could about "The Saber" Combat Tour Exam 12 again, as very soon they would be taking it. He didn't find anything other than two little bits of information on the naval academies database. Info 1 was that it was the last Exam before graduation, and Info 2 was vague. It stated that the only thing one needed to pass was everything learned during their time in the classroom, and that it was the culmination of all previous sims. Now Luke had seen that bit of info earlier, so within the past week he had convinced his instructors to permit him to retry each of the previous sims. He was dressed as all other cadets were, in uniform albeit his was spotless. In his hand was a pair of Officer's Glasses, the newest addition to the Naval Officers Equipment, his design of course.

When Commodore Myneto entered the cafeteria, Luke Kratos rose immediately to his feet and gave his version of a semi-sloppy salute. He was a star student, and had talked with the Commodore before. Those talks had been during Luke's retries of the old sims, as, according to Luke's guess, the commodore was also learning what to do with the Saber. So, Luke walked towards the group of cadets and instructors. "Commodore Myneto Sir! I believe we've met before. Am i correct in saying that you will be running the Saber this year?"

" You are, Luke" he replied. The Saber was, in essence, unnecessary. Although he was slightly excited about seeing the Cadets performence under his commamd. " At ease" he said. All of the Cadets instantly dropped thier salutes. " The Simulation has been, slightly altered. Due to it's age. You enter the Sim room in an Hour. Instructor Foster will be serving as my aide until further notice. Now eat" he said firmly. Wasted Coffee was really little of his concern. The Mouse Droid had already cleaned it up so there was little worry. Oh how he yearned to be back on a bridge. Well, he would eventually get close to one. Eventually.

She saluted the Commodore, a rather annoyed look on her face. Before she could say she'd spilled the caf Ben went and said something stupid. She sucked her teeth and withheld a sharp hiss, giving him her third sharp glare of the morning. This boy was on a roll today wasn't he? What was it with these Corellian officer boys that made them think everyone needed their help. She'd talk to him later about that. What she really couldn't stand was Commodore Myneto's attitude. She wasn't sure where he was from but he definitely didn't seem Corellian in the slightest.

She lowered her salute when he said at ease. The way he treated everyone as if they were below him...No one commanded her to eat like this was some sort of Sith Imperial prison camp,

"and Instructor Foster wasn't even a part of the Corellian military! Who are you to tell her where she can and can't be. She's a guest instructor...!" the words came out before she realized they had been thoughts to be kept in her head and far louder than she would have intended had the words come out voluntarily. She covered her mouth quickly realizing what she said. She inhaled sharply and pinched her eyes closed.

"Kriff."

When Commodore Myneto entered the cafeteria, someone called out 'officer on deck' so everyone seated stood to attention and held a salute until given the 'at ease' command by the superior officer.

Jenica sat back down, but the Corellisi did not return to her previous studies just yet as there seemed to be trouble brewing at the caf machine where a mishap had occurred a few ticks before the appearance of the Big Bad Wolf. And, of course he had to step in the spillage on the floor.

But worse yet, Ben had pissed off Thalia with taking the blame while Luke sucked up seemingly or was he trying to distract... But then to top it all off, someone lost their filter and said what was on their mind. Probably on all their minds, but most had the common sense to not open their mouths and utter them out loud in front of the brass; the ones who gave them a pass or fail.

At this point, Jen just watched in both semi-amusement and horror from her table. There was a right time and a wrong time to butt in. This was most definitely the latter since she was not a part of the original frak up nor the subsequent. Someone of the group had to keep a level head and play things smart... It looked like Jen was going to be the one, well at least for today though the day was still young.

Location: Dorm Room
Objective: Final Exams
Post: I

The floor was cool. It gave Jesse a bit of relief from the pounding headache that he was enduring. He'd spent the better part of the morning throwing up a moderate amount of alcohol and sub par mess hall chow. On Derik'hur, the grunts spent most of the night before The Reach drinking their brains into an early death. It was no different for the Naval Academy. In his military career, which spanned around three years, Jesse had graduated from the Shocktrooper Basic Training, the Starfighter Corp, and now he was finishing up his final courses at the Naval Academy. When he'd first enlisted, if you'd asked him if he planned to attend relatively every armed forces school that the Corellian Military had to offer, he'd have told you that you were crazy. Many times, loudly. Still, here he was puking his guts out on the day of his final graduation.

His hand pressed into the cool durasteel floor, pushing himself up so he could steady himself against the refresher's sink. He looked into the mirror with a disdainful gaze. He pointed one, weak, angry finger at the man in the mirror and offered his most hate filled frown.

"Why are you such a kriffing dumbass?" He asked the man. When all he offered back, were the same words he'd given he relented. "Waste o' my damn time." He waved a hand at the mirror before cutting the sink on. He must have shaved at some point this morning, because his razor and shaving cream were messily stowed in the middle of the sink. He probably shaved just before puking and passing back out. Opening the mirror, he produced a comb to quickly lay down the messy black-brown mass of hair that covered his head.

It didn't take long for Jesse to see to the rest of his hygiene and square away his rack. Once his room was in semi-regulation shape, he made his way out into the hall. His face was washed away of all color and his eyes were bloodshot red, but for the most part his uniform was spotless. Aside from a few traces of dust along his trousers, he maintained the part of a Naval Officer.

But he didn't wear the standard Naval uniform. Instead his uniform was midnight black, with a single crimson stripe running down his trousers. His lapel was adorned with a lightning bolt, showing he was in S.T.O.R.M. training. It was that ridiculous program that had demanded he attend so many levels of training.

He moved down the hall, pressing a hand to his temple. He was passed by a number of the Junior Officers, most of which rendered their acknowledgement to him by tapping the brim of their cap in a crisp salute. Corsaire returned the salute with one of his own. Technically speaking, the members of STORM did not outrank the junior officers, it was the fact that Jesse was prior enlistment and a transfer from the NCO ranks that led him to be promoted ahead of schedule. Once he graduated he would earn another stripe, and likely command of his own squadron. That was what he hoped for. Just the thought of being a Starfighter Commander made his lips curl into something resembling a smile.

As soon as Corsaire entered the mess hall, he eyes the group that had gathered. It was early morning, so it was pretty busy as it pushed through the crowd of morning chow. Jesse didn't have much of a stomach for breakfast, he usually didn't. So he made his way to the car machine, watching as one of the other trainees made a bit of a mess near the machine. He didn't pay it any attention, messes happened. Maybe some of the brass would take up issue with it, but that was their problem. He grunted a brief, "Mornin'," to [member="Thalia Cruz"] as he slid past her to help himself to a cup.

The smell of caf gave him a relieved feeling, although his head was still pounding from the night before. He made his way over to a nearby table, of course in the next moment the ranking officer stepped on deck. Corsaire kept his coffee fastened in his hand, standing to attention without a second thought. He counted the seconds in his mind, wondering how long it would take before they got the at ease. When it finally passed, he lowered himself back to the seat he had before him.

A sip of the caf later, Jesse exhaled a bit as he ran a finger along the collar of his uniform. That was better, much better. He kept a bit of attention on those gathered a few feet from him, watching with some interest, but other than that he said nothing. Not much of a morning person, he'd prefer to stay chill for a while still.

It's one of life's mysteries, sir...
Watching the silent interaction between Cruz and Garcia were a bit amusing, actually. They seemed to be two completely different poles of the same battery, so to say. With her experience it was like reading an open book and something they could not hide for the older instructor. She noticed Garcias chuckle when Cruz straightened herself up and saluted her, along with himself.

Kath said nothing but kept her face interested and answered with a semi-formal salute. It was early and she had never been one of strict and hard formalities, like them in the First Order, but in the presence of these young cadets she were obliged to act with some degree of authority.

''That's so true, Cruz.'' she said before Garcia delivered a slightly more enthusiastic line, stumbeling on her first name in the process.

''Well, I'm excited to see the results of your hard work... I trust you guys are goin' to do fine.'' she stated with a warm smile at the young cadets.

That was when the familiar voice of commodore Myneto broke in from behind. He did not sound to be in his happiest mode. She turned around and followed the cadets with a salute to the high ranking officer, a considerable more formal one this time.

Garcia were the first one to answer the commodore, with a straight out lie that was. Kath glanced at him with a slightly confused frown. Cruz did not look very appreciative of the boys attempt to save her behind. While it was kind of noble and brave of Garcia, it was never a good thing to lie to a high ranking officer. One could think that he tried to impress and gain a point with the Humbarian brunette, it did however seem that he now had lost one. She let it stay with a silent knowing glance at Garcia.

Before they got to know if the commodore would expose the lie, cadet Kratos joined them in a very formal and polite fashion with the question to the commodore. It had striked her that he acted a bit older than he realy was, highly ambitious and charismatic. Would you say, the class's mature swot?

The commodore laid out the plans for today and mentioned Kath to be the aide in The Saber. Orders which she had got a couple of days before, but apparently not the cadets as Cruz suddenly blurted out a line that almost got half the cafeteria silenced. Kathy raised her eyebrows in surprise at Cruz of the ill choosen comment in front of the commedore, she drew a deep inhale and glanced upon Myneto to see what his reaction would be. If he would rip her cadets insignia off her, or worse.

''... Sir! Let me take it in private with her, before the sim?'' she uttered and leaned closer to him. ''I'm sure everyone's on the edge now because of The Saber, I'll have a chat with her and sort it out...'' she continued, trying to perusade Mynetos into the solution.

In the Shocktrooper Corps one thing you’re used to is waking up while other people are still in their beds, comfortable, unaware, unprepared. Since 0400, Aeneis had been up with the rest of his squad. Every day was routine as a shocktrooper, you woke up at the same time, did PT at the same time, ate at the same time. As a grunt when he first joined as a doe-eyed 18-year-old boy he had despised the regime, now it was the only way he knew how to live.

Staring back at Aeneis in the mirror was no longer that young, malnourished and arrogant boy. No, what stood in his place was a man, a hardened one, one who had seen the horrors of battle. That had lost friends in the line of duty. A man that had given up many things, had done many things in the name of the Corellians. Those gold eyes, cold and calculating.

Exiting the refresher, silvery-white hair cascading down his back to stop just past his shoulder blades Aeneis cut quite an odd figure in the black and orange fatigues. The halls of the Saber were quiet as the Arkanian hybrid entered them. At other stations, the halls would be lined with members of the Shocktrooper corps. Before Aeneis would be the one being mustered for PT, soon he would be the one calling the shots. Beginning his own physical regime.

-------

Entering the cafeteria, freshly showered and dressed in the cadet uniform provided. Aeneis eyes scanned those within the confines. Not many like himself had made it this far after serving in the Shocktroopers. Hell many of them didn’t even make it back to their homes. Straight backed, eyes forward Aeneis went through the line his tray being piled with food of a quality he’d never seen as a grunt. Many times they’d eaten out of ration packets yet here at the Officers academy the meats were of a high quality, and the fruits fresh.

Many of the faces Aeneis had come to be familiar with over his time at the academy but what he wasn’t accommodated to was seeing outbursts like the one Thalia had just had in the middle of the cafeteria. At a commanding officer no less, there were plenty of officers that Aeneis wished he could tell to shove it, but that was not the way to go about things as he had learned.

Moving to sit, the Arkanian mix sat across from [member="Jesse Corsaire"] giving the man a curt nod before staring down at the mug. “Long night?” The man was one of the few who’d served as a Shocktrooper even if it was only for a few years it had been enough to catch Aeneis’ attention and formed a sort of kinship with the other. Keeping an eye on the Thalia situation out the corner of his eye. Aeneis dug in. “You know you should stop drinking that stuff.”

Benjamin followed suit with the other cadets, lowering his salute. Commodore Myneto was an interesting man, Ben didn't really mind his cold attitude, it didn't really phase him. Luke Kratos entered the fray. Ben gave Luke a smile, he was a good student from what Ben saw, everything he did was always so...calculated. Myneto explained the the Saber exam had a few alterations and that it would start soon. The commanding officer told them that Instructor Foster was to help him.

It was very clear that Cruz didn't appreciate it, maybe due to the lack of Caf? Benjamin stood suprised. Where'd that come from? he thought to himself as he looked between the group. Instructor Foster spoke up hoping to defuse the situation, or displace the commanding Officer's wrath? Benjamin had no clue. But it felt as if the air had gotten harder to breath, that was for sure.

Ben excused himself and made his way to one of the tables, sitting across [member="Jenica Belos"]. The cadet would offer a smile and let out a breath.

"Good morning Belos, how are you fairing?" he'd ask as he looked over to Myneto. His gaze lingered for a moment, wondering how the man would react. "So...you think you're ready for the exam?" Ben asked with a grin. Damn the situation felt a lot more tense than it did five minutes ago. Guess the pressure was already starting to get to everyone.

It was the final exam after all.

Well what was done was done... Hopefully, Thalia's punishment for her little outburst in front of the commodore and the guest instructor would be lenient like maybe just extra KP or fresher duty, though conduct unbecoming of an officer candidate and/or disrespecting a superior officer would not be a stretch and could get the young girl an automatic fail thus sent home before graduation from the academy. Jenica sure didn't want the latter to happen to her. Cruz was promising, if she could just keep her attitude in check.

The Corellisi's gaze then flicked from the food line to the two soldiers sitting a table or two away. They were going through officer school along with the other navy cadets. They both seemingly had seen hard action. It was written all over them... not only combat, but some self-inflicted too! The one looked like a hurting unit.

Jenica finished off the last of her scrambled mynock eggs, then pushed the tray to the side though keeping the cup of joe. Caffeine was everyone's crutch it seemed this day. With the datapad back in front of her, the brunette resumed studying. A few minutes passed before a familiar voice grabbed her attention.

Raising her dark head, Jenica's blue orbs focused on [member="Benjamin Garcia"], then she flashed a small smile back at the blonde Corellian as he sat down across from her. "Good morning, indeed... I'm well, thanks. I think I'm as ready as I can be," Jen nodded, then asked the other cadet in like.

"And you? How are you doing with everything going on, Garcia? Hopefully the little dust up over there will blow over, hmm?" she commented over the rim of her caf mug before taking a sip of the black liquid.

When Ben walked away to sit with Jen, Luke grabbed the opportune moment to back away and get back to his table. He was hungry, and he would definitely need his brain working during The Saber. As he was about to sit down, he quickly pondered over what the entire fuss was about. The spilled caf which Commodore Myneto had stepped in was the problem. And that someone who had spilled their caf didn't have any. So, Luke got back up, grabbed his untouched caf, and walked over to where Thalia was standing. He would get another cup later. Luckily, Instructor Foster had taken the Commodore aside, so Thalia was still in a sense alone.

Walking over to her, he brought the untouched caf in front of himself. "Here. You're probably going to need some of this..." he said, trying not to sound snobbish but to sound empathetic. Thalia was a good student, good looking, and someone who he did not want to fail the sim. He wanted all of his friends to pass, and hopefully she would too.
