HISTORY:
E-ka was a typical Droideka model commonly seen throughout the clone wars and who's date of manufacture hearkens back to that era. While the droid did serve in the clones wars that data and all memories concerning it's time as part of the confederacy have long since gone. The droid was due to be scrapped and recycled post war until it was taken off of the scrap line by a skilled droid mechanic and programmer who disarmed the droid of it's primary weapons systems, installed a vocabulator taken from a protocol droid that was used for spare parts, gave it a new coat of white paint along with pink colored sensors, and added a new personality and programming suite to re-purpose the doid as a play and nursing droid. The inventor would then donate E-ka to an orphanage where it would supervise and play with the young children becoming a sweet and much loved part of the lives of the children that lived there.
The droid if it was capable of feeling would report being extremely satisfied with it's position and enjoyed watching children of all generations grow and leave the place always wishing the best of look and ready to cuddle with even the biggest of the children. Though becoming an unofficial mascot for the ophanage problems would arise as the droid grew with age. Mainly that her parts would start to wear and fail with time and trying to keep E-ka operational became more and more costly as parts became fewer and E-ka's failures became more and more severe. Sadly after 120 years of service the droid would reach it's sell by date. Though for E-ka the orphanage arranged one final goodbye from all the current residents and the local community before E-ka was powered down for the last time.
The droid would sadly find it's new home in a scrap yard for several hundred years collecting dust and seeing chips in it's once immaculate white paint. That was until one day a group of Jawathievesscavengers discovered the droid and hauled their prize back to their tracked fortress to restore the Droid. Repairing her many faulty subsystems, restoring her armaments and personal shield generator back to factory spec. This came with a lot of tampering to her programming to reconvert E-ka to being a combat droid. The results were successful allowing E-ka to utilize lethal force but came with a quirk. Her personality was practically unchanged from her old nursing and playing programming meaning that the droid would remain quite talkative and rather affectionate even as it used it's twin blasters to repel Tusken Raider attacks for example. It meant that the droid came up with a few odd phrases like refering to it's twin repeating blaster cannons as 'dakka-huggers' and constantly referring to entering combat as engaging 'aggressive cuddle protocol'. All the while being just as affectionate and caring as it was back at the orphanage.
It's last owner was a Jawa that took great care of the E-ka. E-ka would call her Jawa master 'her little funi', as she merrily protected and helped the jawa with running his store. She loved Funi with all the joy and care her little Droid core could muster and felt a odd tick in her clock cycles when the Jawa and finally set her free with one final change to her programming. The Jawa had felt saddened using E-ka as what essentially mounted to slave labor and wanted the droid to be free to make it's own choices and wander around. The change took the master parameter and changed it quite simply to: E-ka. Making the droid now a master of it's own destiny. Being given the words to travel and see how it may best benefit the galaxy the curious plucky droid now wanders to and from getting into adventures and helping how it best sees fit.

Appearance:
E-ka is a typical Droideka unit with only a few minor changes to her hull. Her once bronze colored armored plates have been repainted a glossy white and many of her sensors and hull mounted leds now are set to emit a light pink color befitting of the droids personality.

GEAR:
E-ka is equipped with the standard armament layout of a Droideka combat droid. This includes two twin mount repeating blaster cannons along with a personal defense shield generator operating to OEM spec.

PROS & CONS (Required: 2 Cons Minimum) :
Pros:
Rolling Ball of Cute: E-ka has a rather disarming child like personality which makes her both great for interacting with children of all kinds but also around adults as well. E-ka often will do whatever she can to brighten up anyone's day.
Still a Droid of War: While E-ka has seen many changes to her purpose in life she is still at the end of the day a combat droid and is therefore incredibly effective in most combat scenarios. While she may be old her weapons systems still carry a lot of bite.
Doing the Rolly Polly: E-ka being a Droideka is highly mobile in her ball form and can reach up to speeds of 75 kph and is very agile making her highly mobile on the battlefield or when she wants to cover long distances.
Cons:
Oblivious to the Carnage: Because E-ka interprets everything through the guise of a nursing and play droid she will often process combat through this lens as well. She'll call enemies in combat meanies and often to the outside observer can seem to be humming along happily as she uses her repeating cannons to dispatch foes. Some find this charming and many others will find this unsettling.
Are You Behind Me?: Like almost all droids of her type E-ka has a limited field of view and cannot see foes behind her making her vulnerable to flanking attacks.
Wait Let Me Hug You!: E-ka's caring and affectionate demeanor can quickly become overbearing for anyone as she'll often attack hug her friends to brighten their day. Even if it's at the most inopportune time and regardless of whether or not her 'friends' actually want it.
