Character D’agoriin Swyft, Bounty Hunter And Rebel ‘Sympathizer’

Bounty Hunter and Rebellion 'Sympathizer'
NAME: D’agoriin M. Swyft

FACTION: None, as of yet

RANK: Outcast

SPECIES: Oktarian

AGE: 37

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 186 Centimeters {Approximately 6 feet, 1 inch}

WEIGHT: 184

EYES: Deep green

HAIR: Deep brown, nearly black

SKIN: Sand {A bit deeper than warm ivory}

FORCE SENSITIVE: Suspected by some, but not truly force sensitive

STRENGTHS:

-Multi-lingual; can understand several languages at a moderate extent, including Geonosian, Mando’A, and Jawaese, and can speak basic sentences in the listed languages

WEAKNESSES:

-Trust Issues; D’agoriin’s parents were killed early in his life by one of their close friends, and beyond a select few who have proven time and time again their loyalty, he chooses not to trust rather than to trust and die.

-Linneage; D’agoriin grew up in a Diplomatic household, so in a way, he’s still coming to grips with how bad the Galaxy has become. He occasionally even has trouble accepting what he sees.

APPEARANCE:

D’agoriin is usually seen wearing a lightly-worn jacket made from Nexu leather, from an Arena fight he bet on while visiting Geonosis once. Under that, and even when he chooses to leave the jacket at home, he wears a tight black undershirt, a green bandana around his neck, and lightly armored leggings. When he doesn’t have the jacket on {Which is always when he goes Bounty Hunting}, he wears instead a Durasteel Chestplate, a plate of ventilated armor over his mouth, which he then covers with the bandana, and a pair of replica Mandalorian Vambraces, also made of Durasteel, the right of which has a Dur-24 wrist-mounted laser attached to it. The armor is worn, but still glossy {Not quite shiny}, and some areas, though still retaining their complete integrity, have evidence of carbon scoring. At his side, he wears an A-180 Holdout Blaster Pistol, and on his back he carries a DC-15A Blaster Carbine, modified with a removable ascension cable. His Vambraces are each equipped with a ZX miniature flame projector. The left Vambrace is augmented with a compartment originally designed for Whistling Birds, but instead fire needle-like pins, and the right is augmented with a razor disc projector. Both vambraces are also equipped with a retractable Holosight, so D’agoriin can fire the razor discs/needle-like pins with greater accuracy, though this does result in them being more bulky than they normally would be.

BIOGRAPHY:

D’agoriin, born in the year 32 BBY, grew up in the capitol city of Oktaro, New Tobura, where his parents trained him to take up his father’s job, as an Ambassador to the Republic. That never came to fruition, however, as they were hunted down and killed for treason {They began to realize the Supreme Chancellor’s lies} by a friend of the family, Jiim Agirora, who turned out to be a high-ranking Bounty Hunter working for Crimson Dawn. D’agoriin, who was only 8 at this time, was distraught to learn this two years later, having been living on the streets during this time, not knowing how his parents even died. Regardless of how distraught he may have been, however, that day he also embraced something he had been taught to avoid: revenge, which he finally got a mere three years later, having obtained and refurbished {With a lot of help from another family friend, a Rodian mechanic} a gutted ETA-2 left over from the Jedi Order’s fall mere months before.

D’agoriin didn’t feel much better after he had obtained revenge, however, and he spiraled downward for a short while afterwards. He soon realized that being the owner of a Starfighter was expensive, and to pay the bills, he took up Bounty Hunting himself. At first, he worked with the Bounty Hunter’s Guild, but he soon gave up on that, deciding to become a freelancer for people who otherwise couldn’t afford to hire a Bounty Hunter. He found it mildly fulfilling, and it paid the bills {With the help of the morons who gambled on Kanto Byte- those fools couldn’t tell a Full Sabacc apart from a Sarlacc, and the rest were too drunk on Tatooine Sunsets and blue milk to care}.

Even so, he felt as if he could be doing more for the Galaxy. He was taught from a young age that ’An individual’s only worth is not weighed in credits, but what they do for the rest of the Galaxy, for help that can be given but is not is just as bad as inflicting hurt and pain’. He’d always hated that sappy nonsense, but that was before his life became more about credits than anything else. He felt hollow, empty, without purpose. Then he learned of a resistance effort, an ‘Alliance to restore the Republic’. He dared not directly help them, as he had been on the Empire’s bad side for at least a decade now, and he wasn’t willing to betray the trust he’d just earned with them just yet, but he was willing to help some of the more obscure chapters of the Rebellion, around the Outer Rim.

SHIP(S):

-A Starrunner-Class Transport, with {Largely} the same equipment as it was designed to carry: A Class 2 Hyperdrive, with a Class 12 as a backup, two rear-mounted laser cannons, an Ion cannon, and a storage space that D’agoriin had partially converted to a hangar for his other ship, a light fighter. D’agoriin also added on extra armor plating around the turret-like Ion Cannon, as well as targeting systems {Well, more recent targeting systems, that is}. This ship he used as his home, his base of operations, and often as an escape craft, given the fact that its hyperdrive was superior to that of his ETA-2 {That, and the three-month capacity for food and water was far more than his ETA-2 could hold, which was about 2 days worth}.

-An ETA-2 Actis-Class Starfighter, the High-Defense variant, reconstructed nearly from scratch and enhanced with a Class 2.5 Hyperdrive installed, as well as two larger power units, one where the Astromech used to sit and one exactly opposite that {Maintaining the craft’s balance}, twin Ion Cannons, and several Seismic Charges stored where the spare parts canisters used to be mounted, on the back above the engines {Which, aside from the hull armor, a spent deflector shield, a few broken computer systems, and the more general wiring used in most ships, were the only things left of the original ship’s design}.
