STRENGTHS

• Soul Cleave: It is said by some that a Sunderblade can cut through anything. While not entirely true, it cannot be denied that these weapons have a terrible effect on flesh, bone, and armor.
• Unyielding: Sunderblades are quite resistant to being damaged themselves, as the weapons' gravitic sheen prevents most wear and tear.

WEAKNESSES

• Skill Issue: Sunderblades are notoriously difficult to use, requiring significant training and practice to master. Anyone not specifically trained in their usage may find the weapon somewhere between tricky and intolerable to wield in battle.

DESCRIPTION

Carried by clandestine Dzara assassins and frontline troops alike, the Sunderblade is arguably the hallmark of that organization's close-quarters fighters.

Visually, most of these weapons resemble the short swords carried by Helix's own Shadowmen. Despite this, the average Sunderblade displays a far greater diversity in form, if not in function. Each and every Sunderblade is crafted to its intended wielder's exact preferences, and thus, each is an individually-tailored work of art as much as a weapon. Some display the same gently-curving structure as the above, while others are straight-bladed. Some possess a modern look with entirely-artificial materials, while others might deliberately strive for a more traditional appearance.

Whatever the case, these swords possess only minor differences in actual function, regardless of their wielder's personal aesthetic tastes. All such weapons are razor-sharp, impeccably balanced, and in the hands of their Dzara wielders, exceptionally lethal.

The individual Sunderblade tends to be longer than their Mistblade cousins, more suited for open warfare, and enhanced with armor-cleaving repulsor-grid technology. Such swords can allegedly shear the barrels from artillery emplacements, bisect armored droids, and slice all but the heaviest armor. It is considered an act of great bravery within the Dzara to slay a foe with nothing but one's Sunderblade, and those soldiers who can afford these weapons typically take great pride in their use.

Nonetheless, it takes a skilled and practiced user to wield a Sunderblade effectively, as the weapon's gravitic-distortion properties require a different style than that used in traditional swordsmanship. In clumsy hands, a Sunderblade is at best useless, and at worst actively dangerous to the wielder.
