DESCRIPTION

The Durum Mantle is an armor design passed down from Varin’s home world. The design serves for both protection and for intimidation, some foes even describing these warriors being able to get into their heads in some way. The armor itself is to give Varin Mortifer a easier way to jump into the frey of battle receiving little damage from conventional weapons such as blasters and slug throwers. Though the armor comes at a price. The highly protective plating though designed to be more flexible than most heavy armors, the wearer is still limited on their range of motion, causing some complications in certain fighting techniques or maneuvers. But, when you are holding the line the only direction you want to move is forward.

Varin had worn several types of heavy armor sets, all of them coming back with moderate damage and in need of dire repairs, this armor set seeks to lessen the need for repairs. The armor also comes with kyber crystal capabilities, working as a power source for its modular functions that come with the armor, such as an energy shield affixed to the forearm capable of activating or deactivating at the push of a button.

• Bracers: Modularity is mainly within the bracers offering the ability to add support tech powered by kyber crystals. (examples being a kyber based energy shield affixed to the forearm to provide temporary cover or frontal defense.)
• Boots: Phrik armored grieves and boots provide excellent protection against incoming attacks, the bottom of the boots are also lined with retractable spikes making it easier to walk in certain difficult terrains.
• Torso: Phrik plated protection encasing the upper body, intricately designed for protection and flexibility. Includes kyber crystal housing.

• Kyber functions are limited to one piece of Kyber tech At a time. Using multiple could cause the armor to overload and short circuit.
