STRENGTHS
  • Missile Boat: Due to the nature of its armory, the Dunuogwuin-Class of Cruiser excels at long-range combat, giving it a significant advantage over more close-range ships
  • Missile Penetration: Due to a missile's physical nature, the Dunuogwuin's main armament is fully capable of bypassing deflector shields. However, this armament can be stopped by ray shields just like any other projectile
  • Low crew Requirement: Due to the missile systems being mostly autonomous, crew requirements for fully manning the ship are significantly reduced, allowing for fewer crewmembers to be needed to keep the ship online.
  • Secondary Guns: The turbolasers and point-defense guns mounted on the Dunuogwuin-Class' hull allow Cruisers of this class to proficiently engage any starfighters or lightweight naval ships engaging at ranges too close for missiles to be practical, giving it enough protection to survive a variety of encounters.
  • Large Magazine: Upon Leenic's request, all hangars originally suggested for the design were swapped out for magazine space, meaning that the ship can fire far more missiles and turbolasers than most ships of her class, allowing her to potentially "starve" enemy combatants during prolonged fighting.
WEAKNESSES
  • Point-Defense Weakness: The Cruise Missiles fired by a Dunuogwuin-Class Guided-Missile Cruiser have no shielding and very minimal armor of their own, meaning that most point-defense systems will be able to take out a significant number of them before impact.
  • Ray Shield Protection: Due to the physical nature of missiles, a Ray Shield array poses a significant threat to the Dunuogwuin-Class of ships, as until a hostile's shields are down, missiles will have a very hard time impacting anything the enemy ship's hull.
  • Large Magazine: Since the magazine is not only far more expanded than most ships but also located almost dead center on the Cruiser, any premature detonation of missiles or ammunition within the magazine itself is almost certainly fatal to the ship, with simulations showing that the ship will be split clean in half about 75 percent of the time this happens, with the other 25 percent leaving it almost too crippled to even move.
  • Exterior Missile Pods: Although still protected by some armor, when opened the Missile pods are an extremely large weakness to the Dunuogwuin-Class of Cruisers, as one well-placed torpedo could result in a premature detonation of one or more of the cruise missiles, effectively disabling several missile pods.
DESCRIPTION
After the creation of The Golden Dragon, Leenic realized that a capital ship of that caliber and size would require some sort of escort ship to be at all effective in a fight against anything more than one other ship.

And thus, the Duinuogwuin-Class Guided Missile Cruiser was born.

Based on the Missile-Primary design of The Recluse, the Duinuogwuin-Class of Cruisers took on the role of a Guided-Missile Cruiser, having the majority of its offensive armament outfitted with lightweight turbolasers and Long-Range Cruise Missiles so as to pose a threat primarily at long range while having a decent enough armament to engage lightweight ships at mid to short range so as to accommodate for the Dragon's glaring weakness at close range. However, three Long-Range Turbolaser guns were still installed along the "top" of the ship, so as to provide effective artillery fire in support of any Capital ship's main barrage.

Although quite capable on its own, Leenic's personal doctrine recommends deploying at least two of these ships per capital ship within a fleet, so as to maximize close-range protection whilst also maintaining a high long-range advantage.
