Born on Bastion, deep within the clutches of The Empire, the individual behind DT-1159 was around Imperial Propaganda all of his life. He did not have an impressive life, nor a dismal one prior to recruitment; he had a normal, caring Father and Mother, a well-provided for life, and frankly little-to-no-hardship.
When he eventually sought recruitment amidst War, his zeal was noticed by the instructors amidst his training regime. Staunch in his belief that The Empire was strictly in the right for attempting to preserve and enforce Order across the galaxy, DT-1159 was trained as standard in his time in the Academy. His rigid determination saw him through his years with a markedly higher performance compared a majority of his peers, and thus qualified him for potential in Special Forces. He was initially assigned as a riot trooper, due to a desire to enforce the doctrine he so ardently purported as truth. He continued to prove his worth in this specialization, resulting in a multitude of criminals (and would-be ones) being sent to a cell.
And of course, his abilities combined with the absolute Loyalty demonstrated saw him picked for a specialized Death Trooper program. However, the subtle intervention of a certain
Ignacious Korvan
saw this unit's training take a slightly different course to his newfound peers, coming into an experimental program that would eventually see him join the ranks of Special Task Force 110, Death Mask. Unlike some other members, he was never apart of the predecessors that came before this Task Force, such as the 'Special Commando Advanced Recon' (SCAR) Squadron, and thus knows little of a life outside of what he is now.
