Strengths:
Aquatic- Drel, as a Nautolan, has an extreme advantage over most other species when in water.
Head Tresses- Nautolans' head tentacles function as pheromone sensing organs, helping them detect the emotions of others. The tentacles work best under water.
Nautolan Senses- Exceptional olfactory and pheromone-sensing skills as well as low-light vision.
Swordmaster- Drel wields dual sabers, and is very experienced in Jar'Kai combat methods.
Weaknesses:
Amphibious- Drel is very sensitive to the atmospheres of more arid planets. He must cover up his skin in order to avoid the irritation caused by moisture loss.
Slight Acrophobia- The Nautolan has a slight fear of heights. Being used to aquatic environments, falling is a secret fear of his.
Oddball- Drel is a bit of a quirky character, and many end up a bit put off by his childish behavior.
Language Barrier- Drel cannot understand droids, which is an issue, considering he works with them often. He needs his Padawan to act as a translator.
LIGHTSABERS:
Both are simply built, with leather bindings and semi-circular guards protruding upwards around the blade emitters. The blades are a bright cyan.

Drel has had an old YT-1930 transport re-equipped with modern hardware and renamed it the Dragonsnake after the reptilian predator of Dagobah.
BIOGRAPHY:
Drel was born on Glee Anselm to parents that he would never come to know. Shortly after he was born, they were killed in a freak accident. He became an orphan, living with his aunt and uncle. When he was about three years old, a goodwill ambassador from the Jedi Order came to Glee Anselm and had discovered that Drel was Force Sensitive. The ambassador requested that he be taken to the Jedi Temple for training, and his family permitted it. (He was told with some reluctance)
Drel spent the next fourteen years training under instructors and then a Master, Elothor Kal'Razak. Drel, like his Master, wielded dual sabers, training in Niman and Jar'Kai forms of combat as well as the ways of the Force. At the age of eighteen, Drel undertook the Trials and became a full-fledged Jedi Knight. He now serves the Order as a Sentinel, searching out threats to the galaxy and hunting down Sith as an Investigator and Shadow.
Now that he has his own Padawan, Drel gives his role as an Investigator more time, seeing as fighting Sith is too dangerous for a Padawan learner. However, Naila learns quickly, and he believes that she has become quite capable in her own right. The two currently reside on the Dragonsnake, investigating galactic threats and training in the ways of the Force.
PERSONALITY:
This Nautolan is a quirky character. He is often doing something childish, hanging upside down from bulkheads and playing around with the droids. He treats the group on the Dragonsnake as a little family. He is patient and very caring for his friends and counts loyalty very high on his list of virtues.
Drel may be a bit of a child, but he knows that there is a time and a place for that sort of behavior. When he needs to be serious, the Nautolan can be an intimidating sight, forgoing immature antics for quiet efficiency. The swordmaster behind this Nautolan's childish exterior is a whirlwind on the battlefield, but Drel's philosophy in battle is to disarm and pacify. He doesn't like to kill unless he has to. In more civil, social situations he is very polite and friendly. He enjoys meeting new people, and strives to make friends. Some mistake this as naïvety on his part, but do not be fooled, he can tell a liar in a heartbeat. Call it intuition.
