In battle, this gives a Kainate capital ship a distinctly predatory resilience. Enemy commanders may attempt to concentrate fire on a single shield arc, only to find that the threatened sector thickens beneath their attack. They may attempt to bore through or drain a shield layer, only for that section to isolate before the breach spreads. They may try to exploit open hangars, only for Dreadveil-controlled containment fields to hold the aperture without compromising the entire grid. Every strike teaches the Harmonizer where the next layer of defense must gather.

Yet Dreadveil is not invincible. It cannot conjure power from nothing. It cannot stop a sufficiently overwhelming assault from breaking through. Its most advanced dark-side harmonics are weakened under Force Nullification, and its complexity demands expert maintenance. But these limits are part of what makes it practical rather than mythical. Dreadveil does not promise that a Kainate warship cannot be hurt.
