Calmly and politely nodding towards all those present, both those he knew and those he would be meeting for the first time on this occassion, the Marquis of Valkan presented himself in a rather aloof manner, as if despite the earlier announcement made by his guard, he'd rather be acting as an observer in this meeting, seemingly somewhat similar as

seemed to be doing. He had taken up this role before, with the same man being the beneficiary of this act to remain a bit more on the background. Yet this time, he had an ulterior motive to refrain from any overly aggressive business as well. No matter how high

had managed to get into the Chancellorate and no matter how many chancellors began to be appointed and came flocking around the Diarchs, the lesson they all had to one day learn, was that in truth, there was a third power within the Diarchy.
This Third power was Tertius, who through his generous donations, his respectful relations to the Diarchs and his personal stake within the Diarchy, had essentially become somewhat of a third Diarch, he might not have held any political power persay, nor any military power, but his voice and opinion were heard by the diarchs personally, his council was sought after on many an occassion and without him making the first step to support the Diarchs, the Diarchy as it were, might have not even existed in the same capacity as it did now. However, it was because of this more background position he took for himself, that the Chairman of the N&Z was capable of being more observant, more critical and thus more meticulous with his approach to any and all partnerships which could benefit not only the Diarchy, but himself as well.
His eyes calmly glanced towards Maldor, when the man clearly was going to utilize his strengths again, the Marquis hated to admit it, but when it came to charisma, the Scion of House Mecetti had him beat. With a soft smirk and a gentle nod, Tertius acknowledged Maldor and seemed poised to allow the man to speak his mind. In this case, there was after all no rush for the N&Z Chairman to jump on this opportunity like a shark, considering he had already been poking around in several other ventures within the Diarchy and beyond, allowing the others to approach the host with their own deals and possible opportunities was not going to put much of a dent in his own profits, especially now that his foothold in the outer rim was being strengthened again by the Imperial Confederacy.
"Lord Mecetti and Lady Santhe bring good proposals," The Marquis clapped his hands calmly, nodding towards the two with a gentle smile on his face, yet within his eyes laid a shrewdness one could only expect from those who belonged to the Eriaduan House of Nargath. A few seconds of silence, a slow curling of the corners of his lips was enough to divulge that while amused with what had been provided as possible deals by both who had spoken so far, tertius found their proposals to be a bit...lackluster.
"But I am concerned as to the scope of these proposals, they seem to lack something. As you both should be aware, Lady Ra'a'mah Numare operates a young, but promising delivery company. This means the focus of their ships would be less on starfighters like TIEs and moreso on anything from small transport freighters up to probably frigate sized cargo haulers. TIEs can be employed for convoy safety, but I doubt these would be the bulk of the operation's fleets."
Tilting his head a bit, the Marquis smiled ever so gently towards the host. "While it would have been rather easy for me to make a proposal in which my company simply buys you out and grants you a high position within its ranks, perhaps more suitable for this sort of venture would be a cooperative plan. My STS division is essentially a competitor to your own company and as being part of the N&Z does grant it some extensive boons, you have a possibility of gaining a stranglehold on the Royal Naboo Republic in terms of transport and delivery. So what I propose is a joint venture... the N&Z could handle the logistical operations, the charting and setting up of locations, transport hubs, etc, while your company can take on the active parts of the logistics in terms of the intergalactic transport and utilization of the routes. Santhe-Sienar and Trigonus Industries may provide the ships and the maintainance with support by the N&Z should it be required. In such a joint venture, we'd each have a controlling stake of 33.33% , which means any further action would need a majority vote of two to one in any decision which could change the course of this joint venture."
