DESCRIPTION
The Dragonsnake-class picket cruiser, named after the
Dragonsnake, is a picket cruiser, a light cruiser vessel designed to patrol the outer edge of fleet formations, or within planetary systems. Distinguished by it's forward "pincer head," and octet of engines, the Dragonsnake-class is a versatile light cruiser, armed with twin particle cannon turrets, twin point defense lasers, and flak coilguns that allow it to handle early interception, and quickly defending against attackers while patrolling. Along with this, the ship possesses a standard set of shields and a reinforced hull and frame, though it lacks a full armor.

Some issues that the ships have includes it's relatively lighter armament and the fact that the eight smaller engines that manage to push the vessel to a greater have a tendency to overheat. While it was suggested a set of four larger engines could solve the problem, supplying these engines was an issue with Clan Gred, and thus the CST's shipyard, on the move again. This leaves the smaller engines as the most viable option.

Love the App, but I think we have a couple little things to deal with.

Firstly, your link should be to Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, as that's the source of the image.

Second point, for this ship to be classed as a Cruiser it will need to be between 500-1000m in size, leading towards the 750 area in order to benefit from an average rating hangar space of 3 squadrons. At your current size you'd be considered a Frigate with an average rating of 2 squadrons instead. This change may affect an individuals ability to use the ship, so be mindful. (A company or minor faction would be fine however.)

  • Rugged design.
I'll need to know how this is considered a strength please. Though not necessary for more straight forward advantages and weaknesses, I do suggest that you add a little more information on them for some additional context, even if it is only a sentence.

Hey Felix Aquila Felix Aquila . I've added a link to the Deadlock Steam page, and have added more explanation for the rugged design. On the naming front, the idea is similar to the naming of the canon Arquitens-class Light Cruiser, which by scale fell under a frigate, but was designed to operate more independently, thus fell under being a Light Cruiser. The full intent is for these ships to fall under the frigate size.
