Description: A cutlass for standard use among crew members of the Dragon's Thorn. The sword was made using differential heat treatment, leaving the spine soft an able to absorb shock while the edge was hardened, allowing it to retain its shape. The guard is a simple knuckled guard and not much else while the hilt is wrapped in leather and there is no pommel. This sword, unlike most cutlasses, was made with two edges. This sword is primarily a cutting sword as the tip is blunt and much more damage can be delivered in the swing than in the stab.
