Strengths:
  • Force Enhanced: Enhanced body and claws that are strong enough to resist a lightsaber, teeth and scales made to resist and shred through each other or sithspawn that come to the planet.
  • Transformation: Like Felacatians and a small handful of species, the Dragons have a unique trait in that they can transform into massive planet locked dragons looking like offspring of Stardragons. They are large and powerful but can't fly in space.
Weaknesses:
  • Shifting: While they can shift back and forth between their forms, it is not something that should be done instantly. The more often they do it the better they can get but attempting to do it several times can and will cause harm to the body... injuries from losing control are common and reverting to their humanoid form can hurt them.
  • Feeling the Burn: While it is a natural thing among their people, transforming and maintaining it for long periods of time is consuming... their bodies burn energy and they need to eat which gives into instincts making them more dangerous the longer they are transformed without food.
  • Force Voids: Being force aligned on Ahch-To. Their bodies are filled with it, their teeth, scales, claws and muscles... which aids them but it means force voids, dampened force areas can harm them as their bodies are strongly adjusted to the flow of energy. Without it their hearts can beat to fast or too slow or even their senses getting overwhelmed.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore: They are able to eat just about anything from their homeworld of Ahch-To from plants to fish and some of the larger sea life that they hunt.
  • Communication: Verbal
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: Regarded by the caretakers of the world as omens of both destruction and fortune. THey are often solitary and on islands away from the villages but sometimes they fly around and come near. With their larger forms being dangerous and on the rare occasions when they interact within human forms they aid the villages with problems that they might have. Among the rare force users who come to the world, they are seen as myths… Something seen out the corner of your eye while meditating or that which remains in the temple protecting it when there is no one else. The dragons themselves see the world as their home and whatever act of providence created them as beneficial. The stardragons themselves are... different and wandering.. They leave things in their wake like other children. The temples on the world though are different sicne most only come to the first jedi temple, it leaves a lot
  • General behavior: They are generally reclusive... avoiding being seen on the world and venturing out from their caves or homes when they need to, as opposed to making a large site. The few that are around the caretakers or some of the other creatures on the planet as peaceful... they are only violent when they need to be and shy away from outright abusing their power, as most are far stronger than the smaller caretakers. They aid the jedi who find them and as able to share information about the world but largely just the force itself as they talk about the world and living in the older caves of the planet they can see other things that have been created on the world.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
One of the more mysterious species on Ahch-To, the dragons are considered rare and a myth by many, as they seldom approach the jedi temple. Even more rare is coming out of their small territories. The surrounding legends came largely from the caretakers and the first jedi sacred texts... partially poems about four dragons of the stars that came to the planet attracted by the force energies of the world and the being who were there on the planet. It is not clear what happened, but from those four dragons a temple on the world was created from each other their caves and followers. The first worshipers and children of the dragons were humanoinds at least, and they learned through the force and ingestion of dragons blood how to transform into their gods.

IT isn't clear how things happened, just that eventually the dragons left and left behind force users on the planet. They went off to be buried among their kind and the dragons on the world survived among the jedi and few others who were there... spreading out from each other and creating clans that were either mixed followers or in some rarer cases a single follower. They had an entire planet, so fighting among each other while uncommon didn't always have to happen. Not only that, but they fought more with predators on the planet itself and when dangerous beings were attracted from the stars by the force energies on the planet. Furthermore, they would watch the jedi leave eventually from the world and leave behind everyone else. The Caretakers had a purpose... the other creatures of the world had their own as well.

The dragons themselves were not given a goal. They lived, they died, and they existed, they trained with and learned from the jedi when the temple was used by groups to teach rather than a single entity. They continued to exist on the world and developed among themselves, gathering every few decades to populate and maintain their numbers while awaiting news about their progenitors. Legends from the jedi about other supposed children of the stardragons... these children were less civil, and it wasn't possible to confirm all of them as actually children of the Duinuogwuin or star dragons. They learned about them, but didn't see much pushing them to go and try to find these beings. The jedi were friends and good enough as they could defend the world if there were dangerous individuals coming to the planet.

As the centuries went on, the dragons joined with jedi who came to the world and other force users. Aiding them and a few overlooking the temple itself as others followed and came after them from time to time. Repelling darksiders when needed, and helping the caretakers by defending them against some of the things that were left or would crash on the planet. They joined some of the caretakers trying to help when a galactic plague came to the planet and the subsequent time between it and when explorers like Jorus Merril or Matsu Ike came to the world. The latter restoring the temple for use and bringing in many of the jedi themselves to make it a massive and functional operation as they searched. The dragons being familiar with the world shared the caves they used and where they hunted.

The jedi in the temple were different from previous ones their searching and wanting to know more about the past was valued as they respected much of the world but also went to other temples not just the first temple... they worked with some of the other species and sought to understand and study the creatures of the planet itself. With some learning the way to communicate with the dragons and employing some of them in the temple, as they had a Duinuogwuin within the silver jedi... an older one that existed and wanted to meet the children of his ancestors. For the first time a few ventured off world and went with the jedi to what was being called the High Plane of the Jedi... a massive slice of a world it seemed with lakes and trees as well as deserts. Animals and hundreds if not thousands of jedi that looked out from the station.

They were given the chance to explore the galaxy and aid the jedi or return home... it wasn't a big thing as the jedi had been there on the planet for a handful of years and didn't seem to be going anywhere soon. So they could venture out and help them learn about it and having it as a better means to defend themselves if the jedi left like so many other groups had done in the past. THey would be able to endure on the world as needed and be there long after the jedi left so going out and seeing things would only bring a few new stories for them to be able to share with their children or brothers and sisters who stayed on the planet.... plus it helped that the jedi were offering them more of a unique chance to study on what was considerably a high area of the order or at least the more modern style.
