Down the rabbit hole [CorSec/Green Jedi]

Corellia was home. And that meant Frenzy knew it like the back of her hand. Definitely not dressed like a Jedi, Frenzy was walking the beat. What she was needing to do was spring the trap. She was being deployed alongside some of CorSec’s finest, and the Green Jedi had their own strike team. Danielle knew that she wasn’t being deployed with it, but she was being sent on her own. Here was a different mission. Sitting at the table at the park on the outskirt of the industrial complex, there was one of the locations that could be the terrorist’s location.

Really, why were they coming to Corellia of all places, haven’t they studied the history. Want to do your own thing? There was a place for anyone within the Confederation, or hell, even the allies. The woman rolled her eyes as she leaned against the bench, facing the water. Her swoop was nearby and she had a water bottle in her hand she was sipping out of.

“Frenzy is over by the Industrial Park, south side of Coronet.” She looked over her shoulder for a quick second, her bike between the warehouses and her. “We have any word on where we need to move?” She was getting impatient, but in order to convince the Confederation and Green Jedi she could play with everyone, and work within a mission’s parameter. The woman was not really pleased with being called in this early, but she supposed it would be better than being halfway through a drink and getting a dispatch to bring her to where she was needed.

So, fine, she could sit and watch a warehouse for a few hours.

OOC: We are working as an anti-terrorism group, a mixture of CorSec agents and Green Jedi. Terror strikes have been hitting areas in and around Coronet. The strikes are including vehicular mayhem, kdinapping, and theft. CorSec detectives have been lead to believe there is one over arching group working to unite some smaller groups. Green Jedi, and CorSec are being dispatched to specific locations in the greater Coronet metropolitan area.

She locked a fresh mag into her pistol and slipped it into her holster. All around her at the table there were fellow CorSec agents. some of them stripped and reattached mods to rifles. Others were rigging up into their armor and carrier vests. She continued on, scoping up her rifle, and then loading seven mags into her front pouches of her breastplate. They were on alert, part of the Special Air team to help out with the ground pounders.

She glanced down at her Chrono.

"Ten minutes Ladies and Gent's, then get your asses on the bird."

They grunted in unison. CorSec had a rep for being both stubborn and having the highest Esprit de Corp out of anyone this side of the verse. Same way she'd had a rep for being a stellar Ice Hauler Captain after her retirement from the Naboo Royal Marines.

How she'd ended up on Corellia?

Well there wasn't much left of the Alliance or First Order. Ice hauling required local government for contracts. The Contracts dried up, Merc work no longer suited her; so here she made her bed.

She walked out of the secure concrete blockhouse over the flight pad and slung her gear in a compartment just up the ramp. A familiar fire rumbled in her guts as she slid into the Pilots chair, and fired up the main drives of the modified U-Wing. They didn't have a dedicated med platform yet, but this one did. Serial number 05513. Lucky 13.

"All stations this Angel 31 firing up. Requesting launch clearence in T-Minus ten. Mission Aurek 37. Flight path as follows."

She pressed a button then glanced back into the hangar bay.

"You good bud?"

Her Crew Chief, a squat little Furry fella nodded.

He cranked the handle back on a Mini Gun and grinned.

"Ready to Dust-off. Or melt some faces off."

She gave him the thumbs up, and slammed her helmet on, flipping down the night optics. They would fly this one in zero lums, for security reasons.

"All right Angel 31, you're cleared. Safe Dusting."

"Same, take care."

The Sergeant rolled up the ramp amid a series of foul mouthed words and sharp knife hands. Troopers piled in, and her two senior Flight Medics donned their own helms.

"Ready when you are Cap."

"Taking off....."

Rima was standing near one of the corners of the block with another CorSec officer they were both in full uniform just looking like they were on patrol. Which normally they would be but most elements had been called in to hold down the sector while the green jedi and higher up CorSec officers went in. Thumbing her sidearm in her belt she sighed as they passed the same cafe for the tenth time. "You have to be kidding me how the force did we end up on blooming patrol." Her partner would sigh. "Because last time you were a part of the team you had to be sent on break from seeing all of that."

She would sigh kicking a can as they continued walking. "Yeah but we had to deal with a dang serial killer sith who was using people in some bizarre ritualistic spawn making. That was something overtly troubling." Her partner nodded agreeing. "I remember the news articles on it. Crazy stuff some of those criminals do. But hey remember that one guy who was throwing rocks at us making sounds like they were thermal detonators." She laughed at that. "Of course I do. Crazy man he tried pretending he was riding a hover bike making all the noises till we took him down. Whatever happened to him?"

Her partner shrugged. "Well supposed he got out of prison recently and is doing a stand up show pretending to be a bunch of people." She would snort hearing it. "No way, well tell ya what when this finishes up lets go watch him. Should be good if he keeps up the act the way he did with us. Plus I could use a break from sitting at home alone." Her partner laughed agreeing. "Your on now lets get back to our patrol." As they continued walking their patrol route.

Standing atop a building opposing that of Corenet’s Museum of Fine Art, Ador simply waited the wind whipping around him from. The red cloak he wore billowing in the gust, framed by the light of Corellia’s trio of moons the young padawan stood vigilant. Though a Jedi, Ador was still a teenager which many forgot so as he overlooked the Museum a flood of thoughts filled the youth’s mind. Nanananana Mynock Man! The song played through Ador’s mind reminding him of camping out inside establishments when he was an orphan on the Corenet streets just so he could see the cartoon. How he’d been but a muck, and grime covered boy in those days. One that had grown into a tall young man finding his place within the order of the Green Jedi.

Ador felt a wave of boredom roll over him as for the third hour he looked at the library, his stomach growling in protest. With the recent string of crimes, and terroristic acts the Jedi had been called in to work alongside Corsec in defending key locations, and halting the acts while also bringing down the organization. Ador being youthful and adventurous had of course been one of those more than willing to help, for his trouble? He got stationed watching the museum.

Yawning Ador reached for his comlink about to give his hourly report till he saw a speeder come down from one of the lanes above lowering itself two blocks down and behind the museum. A second one coming from the opposite direction and landing behind the building Ador stood perched upon. If he’d been on the street level Ador may have missed them but from his position above he stood watching.

The Jedi debated whether to put the call in and relay what he’d seen to the others, but what evidence did he have? If he called now Corsec and other Jedi may rush over for an incident that could possibly be the padawan being paranoid. Worrying his lower lip Ador battled with himself and what was the right decision. Morteg always told him to do place his trust in the force and it would guide him, currently however it wasn't giving any answers. I’ll just check it out.

Walking to the opposite end of the building, casting a glance down to the alley below where the second speeder had landed Ador watched six individuals exit. With that, he leaped and the Corellia night absorbed the Jedi.

Her comm began to flash. Pivoting, she went about 90 degrees before it started to ping in rapid succession. Bringing it towards her mouth, "I'm actually not too far from there, I've covered this area so I'll head over and check it out, and check on the kid too. Two birds, one stone."

She'd been on Corellia doing some advising to Starseeker, among helping investigate these new terrorist, and helping build upon the Jedi Order stationed here. She'd much rather be out in the field doing work like this than sitting idly by. No one, really, could stop her from doing what she wanted anyway; that made her who she was...and that made her good at what she did.

Romi had a skillset suitable for this type of work anyway...so working with CorSec agents would only help cover more ground.

-----

Walking through the embellished corridors of the lower levels of the museum, she came to an intersection. Casting a glance down to her right she looked as far as her eyes would let her, and while she couldn't see anything of detail because of her visual impairment she would focus her sphere like perception in the intended direction to get a feel for what was beyond what she couldn't see.

Nothing.

She whipped her head around the other way, and after a few more seconds of staring she realized she'd seen a silhouette of a figure - this wasn't art.

"Hey..." she'd turned her body, "This place has been evacuated, you shouldn't be here. it's been deemed a hotspot--" Nothing happened, she stepped forward "Did you hea-" The person took off. "Hey!" She vaulted forward from her position racing after him, opening her stride to cover more ground quicker.

Then she'd lost visual sight of him, but she could feel him....Rushing into his old square, she stopped to scan the several exits, and felt her quarry stumbling forward, crunching through expanses of transparisteel flooring. She fairly flew after him, pursuing him into a midlevel area of open space studded with thick columns that supported all sorts of fine art and the like.

Hiss-crack

She'd whipped her lightsaber in an upturn motion before surprising quite a bit of these individuals planning something. Another began triggering off the first bolts. Her blade deflected one after the next, but he had sense enough not to deplete the weapon on her. Instead, he began to scrabble backward on his feet, his gaze riveted on her as she advanced, calm but coldly fixed on her prey. She swung in a leveled fashion before he activated his jetpack and sprung into the air. Soon, he sprayed the ground beneath him in blaster fire. Romi, dove into a roll, maneuvering her way out of his line of vision. She came up in a crouched position and her scarlet blade held in a high guard.

"Lets try to move this outside guys, please!"

From her peripheral, she saw a second man running with some sort of large bundle in his hands. No time to think, she threw out her free hand in a quick display of precise force control - she'd hit him with enough energy to knock him off balance and separate him from the object; it slide under a fixture.

While her focus was split, she'd felt something tight wrap around her lightsaber arm and it tugged her hard enough to disarm her and drag her forward a couple of steps. It was a whipcord.

Uhn!

She refused. This time she used the Force to hold herself to the floor, forcing herself to stand upright. She'd anchored herself to the floor by metaphysical means. But it karkin' hurt. She tugged as hard as she could, while drawing her survival knife to slice the wire, the release would likely send him flying backwards. It definitely sent her stumbling back a few steps.

Taking advantage of the break in combat, she dove for the ground sliding across on her knee pads while snatching up her saber.

Falling through the night's sky, the cool breeze enveloping him Ador soared through the air heading straight down towards the speeder and the individuals he’d spotted. Righting himself in the air, holding onto the straps of the grav chute Ador fired the repulsors that slowed his descent to where by the time he landed atop the speeder it was nothing more than a light thumping sound.

The padawans arrival had of course drawn the attention of the six that he’d spotted earlier causing all of them to turn around. On their persons a variety of weapons and other gear could be seen glinting in the moonlight. “I’m sorry to inform you put this area is off limits, the museum is cl-” Ador started as he began shrugging off the grav chute for a blaster bolt to fly over his head followed by another three in succession aimed at the youth.

Kicking off the speeder Ador flung himself into a backflip that propelled him upwards and back over the blaster bolts that would’ve slammed into his chest. The scent of ozone filling his nostrils as they passed. The flip completed with Ador on the opposite side of the speeder crouched behind it as blaster bolts peppered the vehicle leaving blackened char marks on it. The assailants cared not for property value but sought to eradicate the individual that had arrived to stop them.

Well... Could be worse. No sooner than the Jedi thinking that did he hear the roaring of flames, and when he looked up what Ador saw was one of them had taken flight using a jetpack a wrist raised at the boy. Kriff. Kriff. KRIFF The Corellian thought as once more he flung his body bolstered by the power of the force Ador practically flew three meters off to the left, the shriek of the missiles approach was heard then the sudden explosive roar that followed. Heat licked at the tail of Ador’s cloak, the concussive force turning Ador’s leap into a head over tail tumble through the air where he impacted the ground with a grunt and exhalation of air as it fled his lungs.

All this before the boy had even drawn his lightsaber. Ador could already hear the scolding of Morteg. “Much to learn you have, brash you are.” Ador grumbled mimicking the first Jedi to have taken up his training. Hand reaching to his belt Ador drew the large hilt of Fortitude and sprung to his feet. A stream of freshly drawn blood retreating from a fresh wound on his head and coasting down the right side of the padawan's face. A fierce determination in Ador’s eyes, at least there was till he felt a tightening sensation around his legs. With a glance down he noticed a thin wire wrapped around his shins. Glancing up he saw the assailant with the jetpack fly by. “Kark.”

----

Less than thirty seconds later Ador’s body came flying through a window in the museum the Jedi having cut himself free of the fibrecord and erected a semi-translucent barrier to protect himself. Soaring through the air Ador hit the tiled floor his barrier absorbing a majority of the impact the momentum, however, kept the boy sliding an additional twenty fleet across the floor before he came to a stop emitting a loud groan.

Cait swerved as traffic picked up over the comms. An incident was being relayed by CorSec dispatch to her helmet, feeding coordinates direct to her HUD.

"Got a possible situation Sergeant, heading there now."

"Alright, let's check it out."

She gunned the throttle, juked the yoke far left and jammed the pedals in an alternating fashion. The U-Wing banked left, harder than what should be normal. The thing wasn't as graceful as an N1-Starfighter, but it certainly had a kick to it. The sound of swears and grunts from the troopers filled the cabin as she turned.

Cait grinned.

"Hold on to your rear ends gents..."

"Turn Complete," Her co-Pilot remarked.

"Full throttle now, keep an eye out for stray freighters..."

She slid along the surface of her knee pads, cutting into the tiling with the lips of her boots, she produced enough friction to slow herself and twist as her back collided with a pillar; she used it for momentary cover

Soaring through the air Ador hit the tiled floor his barrier absorbing a majority of the impact the momentum, however, kept the boy sliding an additional twenty fleet across the floor before he came to a stop emitting a loud groan.
Eyes wide with disbelief , she rushed to her feet "Oh come onnnn!" she complained throwing her hands -- she was trying to preserve this place as much as she can.
A chill rushed up her spine, but she didn't need metaphysical sense to feel that someone was rushing her from behind; she didn't realize how close he was. In a reverse grip she ignited her lightsaber and swung her arm back to parry her attackers virbo-blade before pushing off and throwing his weapon arms trajectory off. Romi pivoted around and snapped up her foot sideways, catching the woman at the base of the chin . She felt the sharp crackle of shattering jawbones, and the terrorist flew backward off her feet.
"Kid! Get that bundle" She pointed in its direction, lurching forward with a sense of urgency.
The flying assailant fired down at Romi, she sidestepped the barrage of shots and launched herself at the terrorist. She somersaulted into his guard faster then he could take flight. She dug her heel into his foot to keep him grounded as he stumbled back, while instinctively searing his weapon arm off in a swift motion. A quick and mildly impactful burst of force energy threw him off balance and just a few feet away.

Laying there for a second, head throbbing, body aching Ador sat up. “Someone get the plate on that speeder.” The Jedi growled a hand rising to hold his head. Rising to his feet the boy found his balance unsteady but what he clearly heard and saw was fighting within the museum itself. Oh… Great. Then it clicked. Ador had been told he’d be over on this side alone, had the Jedi and Corsec lied to him? Did they not trust him? The realization stung slightly before the Jedi looked back on how things had gone up till this point. There was no one who would listen to the youth complain so he shunted his feelings aside.

Marveling Ador’s jaw nearly dropped agape. He was looking at Romi Jade, one of the most infamous or famous Jedi in the galaxy depending on who you asked. The Boy was shocked, unable to get out a sentence at her command instead snapping a salute. He’d never been in the military, but it had felt natural and the only thing the Corellian could think to do. Eyes locking on the large bundle Ador dashed for it, his legs pumping and from outside the window he’d just flown through he saw the figure who had flung him fly in.

“Not Again!” Ador shouted as he leaped forward entering a roll over the bundle and coming up with it in his hands. Blasts of energy ate away at the tile behind Ador as he moved further into the exhibit. Pursued by his adversary Ador felt a bolt pass by on his right, just above his shoulder. If the boy kept running he’d eventually be shot down.

Turning on his heels to face the hovering assailant Ador reached an arm out instinctively catching a whipcord that was poised to wrap around his neck. “Close but no cigar.” The boy yelled a victorious grin on his face. Till the assailant started flying in the opposite direction dragging him. The bottom of his boots scraping against the tile leaving long dark marks Ador growled.

Bracing himself and opening himself to the force he felt his strength increase, his body holding in place, unmoving. With a roar the Jedi spun whipping the flying man around and into a nearby pillar. Chunks of duracrete fell free as the armored man slammed into it the jetpack exploding and leaving him to fall to the ground. The thief impacted with the tile hard enough to shatter it and lay there barely moving.

Looking back to the pillar Ador hissed loudly seeing the large chunk missing from the jetpack exploding. “No one needs to know about this right?” Ador asked his cheeks reddening, the only answer being a groan from the crook. “Good.”

There were more threats to the museum and its exhibits but right now Ador basked somewhat in his victory, and the pain it had wrought upon him.

Sitting around and watching, that was a joy, right? Somewhere in her head, a far off Jedi was yelling ‘Patience’ and everyone on the current galactic stage knew which Jedi it wasn’t. Yeah, Starchaser had given her a few missions, did some debriefing and provided her with a number of toys, from ships to melee weapons and shields. But what she was finding out was that there were things that she just needed to do for herself. Her astromech, who was plugged into the local communications frequency was relaying the messages to her earpiece. Under her outfit was her leather jumpsuit, lightsaber resistant and able to take hell of a Force pounding.

Not that she’d needed it here.

Hopefully.

“I hear you, Mack, but I’m telling you, nothing is movin…” She saw the ship coming in. Shaking her head, she didn’t move too far, not yet.

“This is Frenzy, landing craft inbound, but its not on the schedule. Whats the call?” She was going out to CorSec, this was there mission after all.

The sound of the jetpack exploding caught her attention -- her head snapped around -- she threw her free hand out, lashing out to catch the falling duracrete on the whim. "Let's try not to destroy the place!" Sensing someone within her guard, she turned around to see a vibroblade cutting past her face. Lurching her head back she dodged it barely, and continued through parrying the weapon off its intended path.
Forcing the weapon down through a circular motion, she stepped on the back of it with enough force to yank its wielder forward. Her knee snapped up and burrowed into his helmet. While he staggered back she whipped her entire body around in order to utilize both hands in guiding the debris down and away from hitting anything of note.
A chill.
She spun around, gliding along the tiling on her knee pads, a bolt flashed past her corkscrewing body, so close that the sting of its heat penetrated the thin bodysuit beneath her jacket. She kept twisting, into another whorl while her wrists turned almost of their own accord as she swung her lightsaber around to catch the next bolt and then the next. Her trail ended when she planted her heel down to slow her movements and just after she was in the air again. Vaulting from her crouched position, she leapt over a fixture and came down ducking under a desperate swing...
Shearing through her targets leg, she popped up simultaneously as he fell to the ground.
"What's inside?" she shouted over at Ador.

He was a … something. Former Imperial, fighter pilot, CorSec advisor, private investigator. He was enjoying being based on the homeworld. Sure, he wasn’t technically born on Corellia, nor was his sister. But they were both born from Corellian stock, one family that was much more known than the other. The Starchaser name was not quite a Halcyon, nor a Horn, but they were a known family. It was what allowed Jared to get the posting he had.

Today, he was on Treasure Ship Row, a lot of outlaw tech, some of it what he was having. He hadn’t lost an arm or leg yet, but he was using an cybernetic exoskeleton on his left arm and his legs. More like a combat suit he could use under his robes, clothing, and armor. A pistol on one hip, and his lightsaber on the other, the Starchaser made his way down the street.

The sting was on, but he had something else to chase.

Tapping the side of his head, nanotech grew and created a holographic image over his eye, to allow for rangefinding and name identification. His ear and mouth were minorly covered with a small bit of tech to allow for hearing the CorSec network, and to present across it as well. He hadn’t yet, he was looking for the leader of the tech here.
