Description :

The Asylum prototype is a extremely large space station dedicated to housing large amounts of beings at once and being self-sufficient with only needing minimum cargo hauls being delivered to it at any given time. Starting from the top, one will find the main command deck/bridge of the station. Here the captain can be found along with the main crew's quarters. The captain is a specifically picked member of the Shadow Empire who's had a long term career in the naval branch of the faction. The rest of the crew who reside here with him are hand chosen by him and are Some of the best of the best within the empire. Working downwards the neck of the station one will find the barracks designed for the guards of the station and a power station for droids who provide support to the organic security. Security cells can hold nearly 200 organic beings here as well. One step further down is the quarters for the rest of the Asylum crew, janitors, engineers/maintenance, and other additional required members for the station. The total of all high priority personnel members above come to nearly 1050 members, majority being the security officers as the station only requires bare minimum at any given time to function to be piloted. The droids are not marked towards this count as they are some where around the numbers of 2000.

As one ventures another step further down, they find themselves in the ring of the Asylum, obviously dubbed the Ring of Asylum. Here is where all civilians live along with vendors and farms. The total number of organic beings here are marked around 8500 people. For families, large quarters are set up two bedroom one bath, with singular beings getting a one bedroom with a very small bath. Each of these sets are divided up into 9 sectors of 945 groups of people with vendors intertwined within these sectors to provide entertainment, food, social, and many other needs. In between these sectors are artificial lands fertile for growing crops and raising live stock. These farms hold the farmers along with organic farm hands and droids. Rivers run through these areas that are connected through veins that span the entire space station. These veins pick up humidity and recycles water from sinks that are separate from sewage pipes connected to toilets. This, however, is not enough. These veins and rivers will last for nearly 2 years, but needs an extra hand producing water. Water tankers come every year and a half to pump water according to levels recorded by staff. Sometimes they will pump hundreds of thousands of gallons, other times, tens of thousands. Live stock is not harvested until offspring are produced to make up the numbers about to be slaughtered. These live stock number in the hundreds, and crops are easily replanted with seeds harvested from the plants and whats kept in stock. Miniature weather machines exist to give the concept that these civilians are living on a planet. These weather machines make very tame rainstorms.

Below this small notion of a city/town, is where all the things that make the ship tick, and work. Engines, gravity, air recycle, everything the station needs to work. This area has large elevators that bypass the Ring of Asylum and goes straight to the crews quarters. This is for ease of access. Among other things that should be mentioned about this station, while it can go into hyperspace, move, and what have you, it has no weapons that can be used offensively against attacking ships. The point defense batteries can only target fired missiles, and other projectiles aimed for the station, while the Null Burst device causes very little to no harm, it will knock out crew members of attacking ships in hopes to provide more time for a element of the Shadow Empire fleet to arrive if a escort is not ready at hand. Speaking of which, escorts are routinely scheduled to follow the station for defensive purposes, but need to be switched out annually for maintenance, resupplying, and refueling.
