SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Gel Layer: The Exile armor features a gel layer between the plating and under-armor to dissipate kinetic residual energy from blaster bolts.
  • Minor Life Support: The Exile Armor features a small oxygen tank that will supply 2 minutes of oxygen, and a vacuum seal, allowing the wearer to survive up to 2 minutes in space.
  • Comms Relay: The spike on the left side of the helmet is a Holonet Antenna, powerful enough to ensure connection to the outside galaxy so long as a Holonet beacon is in the atmosphere.
  • Optical Suite: The helmet also features a polarization and dimming feature, able to filter out light to compensate for Dorin's extreme light sensitivity.
  • Unarmed Spurs: The spurs along both arms can be used both as stabbing implements, and tools to disarm foes, or shatter metal blades.
Strengths:
  • Very High Kinetic Resistance: Dorin frequently runs afoul of fanged and clawed creatures. As such, he forged the armor with beskar covering vital organs in a unique ridged pattern that seems almost organic. This chitin design covers his chest, kidneys, and right arm.
  • High Electrical Resistance: The Gel Layer is designed to dissipate Electrical attacks as well as any residual blaster bolt kinetic energy.
  • High Blaster Resistance: The Beskar plating covering vital organs means that blasters would have a much harder time scoring kill-shots on anyone wearing the armor.
  • Striker Boots: Based on an ancient design, the boots in Dorin's armor are forged entirely from Beskar, including the large armor plates on his shins. The knee caps and heels have Bondar Crystals inlaid into them, allowing for stunning attacks against enemies. Unlike lightsabers, these boots do not passively channel this ability, instead requiring Dorin to specifically focus on utilizing this ability.
  • Medical Suite: Dorin added in an emergency medical suite that can stabilize him in the event of severe injury. Good for one charge only before it must be replaced.
Weaknesses:
  • Ion/EMP weakness: Due to Dorin's reliance on the optical suite, Ion and EMP weaponry renders him virtually blind.
  • Heavy: Dorin's armor is on the heavier side. This will limit this armor's effectiveness when used by anyone who has not trained to wear it.
  • Medical Suite Charge: In order to fit the Medical suite into the armor in a satisfactory way, Dorin had to build it into vital portions of the armor, requiring that the suit be almost completely rebuilt in order to replace the Med Suite.
DESCRIPTION
Dorin's armor is based off an old design blueprint that was passed down through his Order for Millennia. This armor was constructed to be a mainstay, while he accumulated resources and components necessary to completely replicate the armor in the design. The baseline armor set is rather simplistic, being a durasteel shell with as much protection as possible without sacrificing mobility. Overlaid on top of that is a Beskar layer featuring a chitinous design that does not appear to bear any resemblance to other insectoid species or designs. This chitin layer covers the entire front of his torso, kidneys on the back, and his right shoulder/arm. On top of this, Dorin has layered a Beskar chest-plate, Beskar boots, and Beskar shoulder pauldrons. The left gauntlet features two Beskar Spurs on the forearm, and jutting out from an elbow plate connected to the bicep plating. The right gauntlet features the same Chitinous appearance as the chest and shoulder. The right arm features spurs identical to the left arm. Both gauntlets are comprised of Beskar, though the left gauntlet is asymmetrical to the right's chitin aesthetic. In addition, Dorin wears decorative lengths of cloth, two at his waist stretching down to his knees, one as a scarf that trails all the way to his ankles, and one as a cape that extends from his right shoulder blade down to his waist. Dorin's armor is otherwise simplistic, lacking the space or power for any form of weapon systems. It is designed more to protect the wearer than to augment his combat capabilities. While it is partially based on the ancient design, Dorin made several design choices that would require building the original design from scratch.

CHANGE LOG:

Edit 1: Changed armor composition based on recommendation from user [member="Tyri"] and adjusted resistances, strengths, weaknesses, and overall description accordingly.

Edit 2: Readjusted materials to revert to the original Durasteel/Other composition. While ultimately a Pure Beskar suit would eventually be possible, I can't justify Dorin utilizing the Exile prototype long enough to sink that amount of credits into it. Resistances adjusted to reflect overall defenses, and Description modified to indicate actual beskar plating.

[member="Dorin Arkx"],

Cortosis is a rather brittle metal. It is known for being great at resisting energy based weapons, and even lightning for very brief moments in the Canon page Here. It was so good at dissipating energy, that it could easily defend against lightsabers, as well as short out lightsabers for a few moments.

To prevent your armor from being too brittle, and still be able to protect you from quite a lot, You might have to use a Cortosis Weave, instead of pure cortosis. While I do see you only use cortosis in the gauntlets/arms, the metal, even compared as a Cortosis weave to Durasteel, is still brittle to kinetic impacts.

Beskar, or better known as Mandalorian Iron, is nearly resistant to just about anything you can throw at it. Slugs, Lightsabers, blasters. That kind of stuff. In canon, a Mandalorian wore this armor through re-entry heat levels. So it can very easily defend against lightsabers.

What I recommend is to remove one of the two. Beskar can nearly protect you from everything. Including lightsabers. Beskar is Star Wars version of a nearly unbreakable metal. (It can still be broken, and destroyed, it just takes a lot of firepower.) Cortosis on the other hand, is only really good against Lightsabers and energy based weaponry. So if you want to keep your resistances how they are, Drop cortosis. If you want over all high stats on everything, keep beskar.

If you have any questions, let me know. Just wanting to help

[member="Dorin Arkx"], Not a problem. Its all up to you and how you feel the armor will suit your character.

However, I am not a Roleplay Judge, Admin, or Factory Judge. So their ruling of this armor when the time comes for it to be approved, may be different than my own views. Take my word with worth of a grain of salt.

Good luck to you and your armor.
