Even though Nichos tried not to think about the collapse of the CIS, he did find it hard to believe that the faction that he grew up in collapsed in just a few weeks. Nichos believed in the ideals of the Confederacy: The freedom to choose and not be pushed down by greed and corruption, under the CIS' watchful eye the Outer Rim actually flourished into an actual livable place. Sure, it was still a wretched hive, but the difference was that there were more decent places to live. Now it was ripe for being taken over by warlords and criminal syndicates. Nichos also heard that the Galactic Alliance was making a planet grab while they waged their war against the Maw. To think the Outer Rim was united under one cause and now it was back to the same old chit as it was for years.
He sighed, there wasn't time to think about that he needed to focus on his real mission. To escort the egghead to this Asteroid base, one of her friends had invited her to study a large Asteroid which was apparently filled with void stones that she was studying. They were on the Asteroid which they set up their base, as he guided the ship that he rented from Ord Mantel a smile formed on his face. He always had a soft spot for Asteroids often making a wish on them growing up, when he was with the CIS military, Nichos was often stationed on Asteroid bases. There was something calm about the Asteroids then again they were deadly as last year there was a record number of Meteor strikes in the Galaxy.
"Hey egghead!" Nichos said through the intercom while pressing some buttons. "We're going to be making our approach within the hour, so get ready!"
