• Planetary Features: Most of the planet is covered in thick, untouched forest. Within these forests are millennia old ruins of cities and villages lost in the cataclysm 10,000 years ago.

  • Major Locations:

Sliabh na Seanóirí: The largest mountain on the planet, Sliabh na Seanóirí, translated into Basic as “Mountain of Elders”, hides within itself a winding, twisting cave system. This system leads to the Loch na Beannachtaí at the center of the mountain. None have been able to fully map the caves, and much of it is unexplored due to the Ancient Fog that surrounds it more often than not.

  • Cathair an Chruthú: The capital city of Domhanda, it resides a stone’s throw away from Sliabh na Seanóirí. The city itself is a beautiful mixture of traditional Anam stonework buildings, modern metal buildings, and nature.

  • An Mhuir Órga: The largest ocean on the planet, it is a primary source of fish for the Anam. The ocean received its name from the golden colored sand, that shimmers under the crystal clear waters of the ocean.

Force Nexus:

T1QzI1p.jpg

  • Intent: To provide a unique location on Domhanda, create lore, and a home location for a future species.
    Nexus Name: Loch na Beannachtaí

  • Nexus Alignment: Light

  • Size: Medium

  • Strength: Strong

  • Accessibility: Once visited by pilgrims in the Days Before, Loch na Beannachtaí is now buried underground, deep within an intricate cave system inside Sliabh na Seanóirí that even now, 7,000 years after the Return have not been fully explored. Often times, the entrance to the cave system is hidden within what the Anam call the Ancient Fog, a fog so thick one easily loses their way within it. This fog persists far into the day, no matter the weather.

  • Effects: Being within the Loch na Beannachtaí cavern itself, it increases one’s natural healing factor by twice as much. Small wounds heal within minutes, while larger wounds can take only hours depending on severity. This healing effect diminishes the further away from the cavern you get. Those attuned to the Dark Side of the Force, depending on how immersed in it they are, would feel repelled by the Nexus as well.
POPULATION

  • Native Species: Anam

  • Immigrated Species: None

  • Population: Heavy

  • Demographics: 70% Humanoids, 30% various animal species

  • Primary Languages: Teanga na Beannachta, Galactic Basic

  • Culture: The Anam that live on Domhanda are a very artistic people, from pottery, jewelry, seamstresses, to forging weapons and armor. The art of Force Imbuement, Enchanting as the Anam call it, is practiced by many members of the Priesthood. One could find many imbued objects in the Temples found in all the cities across the planet, though the largest collection is in the capital city.
The worship of life and fire permeates their culture and way of life in every way, shape, and form. Animals hunted and killed for food are treated with the utmost respect, and thanked for their sacrifice. They believe that nothing should be wasted, and all pieces of hunted animals, scrap metal, etc. are used in some way, shape, or form. There are no electrical lights in any buildings, save for military buildings, only large windows to let in natural light, along with chandeliers and torches lit aflame.
Family is a high priority to the Anam, and one could find up to 5 or 6 generations living in one home. Many small cities and towns are tight-knit, with people helping one another with no questions asked in the event of a tragedy. This love of family and community makes an Anam leaving the planet to explore the galaxy a rare occasion.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

  • Government: Absolute Monarchy

  • Affiliation: Auburn Síoda

  • Wealth: High, as many force imbued objects can be found within the temples of the priesthood, and valuable works of art, jewelry, and weapons can be found and bought across the planet.

  • Stability:Medium, with the recent naming of Queen Auburn as the next High Priestess, plots have begun in the highest ranks of the priesthood to use her to take control of the government from the royal family. Queen Auburn, while suspicious of their intent, does not know the full extent of their plan, and is seeking outside help to discover their full plan, and end it.

  • Freedom & Oppression: The Anam of Domhanda have lived in peace since their very beginnings, and that peace continues into today. Slavery is a foreign word to those who have not decided to leave the planet, with no equivalent in their native tongue. Families who struggle with finances or other such dilemmas, may also request short-term aid from the government, to get back on their feet.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY

  • Military: The military of the Anam is led of primarily Force Users. All Force Users are trained in pyromancy, as well as melee and ranged combat. Vibroblades are a staple among the Anam forces, with those capable of it either making or commissioning their own force-imbued weapons.

  • Technology: Galactic Standard
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
In the beginning, there were Dragons. The Beannacht Dragons were the first sentient creatures to breathe Domhanda’s air, and walk its soil. For generations upon generations, these majestic creatures alone sat atop the order of things, watching the non sentients evolve and grow. In time, the Anam would be born, and join with the Dragons as the sole sentients to walk the forests and taste the waters of the world. When at last the two came to meet one another, began the first worship of the Dragons themselves. The Anam, in awe of the beauty, power, and benevolence of these beings, sought to with them create an era of peace. These times were, to the Anam, a true golden age, where these immortal gods and goddesses ruled over them in harmony.

The Anam and their deities lived, until the first of the dragons slipped away, passing away into the Force. The Dragon, old and weary, had gone to a long thought holy spring. Many other Beannacht gathered, and after the Dragon drew their final breath, they were engulfed in the fire of their brethren. The pure concentration of the Beannacht’s cleansing flame, turned the dead dragon to glass, and created the Force Nexus that would come to be known as the Loch na Beannachtaí. For the next few centuries, many would make the pilgrimage to the now sacred spring.

Yet Dark times were to come. For with the first death, came another, and another, as the beloved gods soon found their time was not infinite. Many of the dragons had gone without reproduction, not understanding that their time would draw short, and their kind began to dwindle. This spread fear, and anger, among some of the Anam, who were struggling to solve the problems that blighted their planet. In an act of desperation, an isolated group attempted to use the Force to actually force the planet to balance itself. However, disaster struck, as the ritual they devised instead made, as their records put, “the sky become flame, and life the fuel to its pyre”. Whatever this group had done caused devastation, an inferno that seemed to sweep across the planet, wiping life clean wherever it went. Many of the few remaining dragons perished, almost instantly, while all but one and her egg perished buying their worshipers time to flee.

For over three thousand years, the planet recovered. Without more Force users to die and fuel the flames, and a great light still burning in Loch na Beannachtaí, life found a way. Rising out of the ashen, fertile soil once more came the forests, the trees and life. And at the end of these three thousand years, the Anam returned home, their dragon gods now Force Ghosts, able to be seen only by their chosen prophets of the priesthood. Seeing their home world once more so vibrant, and full of life, the Anam began to rebuild, sequestered away and isolated from the galaxy. Though the location of their sacred spring had been lost to time, as it became hidden away beneath the earth. For so much of their history they were left to their own devices, only coming to a galactic stage when again people were out exploring the galaxy.

Then came the plague. The Gulag plague, which ravaged the galaxy, started on Domhanda when a single ship of refugees was allowed to set foot on the planet. The disease ravaged the populace, and it was the spark of change for the people. Once more they became isolationists, even worse as the four hundred year darkness took hold of the galaxy at large. The people installed a monarchy to retain their society, and prevent it from crumbling under them. As the galaxy left the darkness, the plague lost to history, and in its place a people coming to grips with their new lot in life.

Then came the day upon which the people of Domhanda either lost loved ones, or found their soul lost to the Netherworld. On that day, many tears were shed, especially as the Royal Family, now on it’s third ruler, lost all but the King, and one of his daughters. While all mourned the loss, the King took it especially hard, secluding himself away from the public to grieve. With some luck, the Princess survived long enough to be given her Father’s seat at the head of family, to the displeasure of the priesthood and without much fanfare. By grace, their isolationism allowed the Incursion to ignore the planet, granting the much needed respite.

In the present day, Queen Auburn has made preservation of the Monarchy her main goal, to prevent the priesthood from dissolving it and gaining full control of the people. She has reached out to the galaxy at large, at least in part lifting the isolation of the planet in the guise of protecting herself and the people. For Domhanda rests on the edge, between the new ways that have saved and kept the people from devolving to anarchy, and a priesthood yearning to once more be the driving force of the planet. So this all looks fairly straight forward, outside of one tiny little detail about the nexus. I think it would be worth rewording the part talking about the cave system and the fog, because it's not clear what exactly you mean when you say the cave system is hidden in fog. If you mean there's a dense fog WITHIN the caves, that's all well and good, but it could also be taken to mean that the cave entrances themselves are hidden by fog. Let me know what you decide on.
