Public Doing Time is Part of Doing Business [Open to Criminal Scum]

Buried beneath the choking smog of Anoat's industrial wastelands, Karthak Prison Complex is where the galaxy forgets its worst. Built into the jagged rock of a dead volcano and powered by the runoff of toxic refineries, it's less a correctional facility and more a death sentence in slow motion. The walls sweat rust, the air tastes like metal and ash, and the guards—half droid, half sadist—make the inmates' lives a constant war zone. There are no stars visible from inside, only the dull red glow of warning lights and the echo of violence down concrete corridors. Escape isn't just unlikely—it's suicidal. But hey you wouldn't be a true member of the Underworld if you didn't believe in a few risks right? The prisoners inside this ruthless facility have had enough. They've formed an alliance and are getting ready to go big so they can go home.

Objective 1: Infiltrate the mainframe area and hack the system.

Your objective is to infiltrate the prison's main data core, hidden three levels beneath the central guard tower. Once inside, hack the security grid to loop the surveillance feeds and disable electronic locks across Cell Blocks C through F. Timing is critical—every second the cameras are blind is one step closer to open doors and chaos in the halls. Stay quiet, move fast, and don't trip the alarms. One slip, and it's lockdown for everyone—forever.

Objective 2: Break into the armory and secure weapons

The armory is sealed behind reinforced blast doors in the lower east wing—heavily guarded, always locked, and crawling with sentry droids. Your job is to breach it. Once inside, secure weapons, stun packs, and riot gear to arm the crew for the breakout. No gear means no chance—so hit hard, move fast, and leave no one behind. If the guards catch wind before you're in, the whole plan burns.

Objective 3: Start a riot as a diversion

Starting a riot isn't as simple as throwing a punch—especially under the watchful eyes of stun-collar enforcers and auto-turrets. You'll need to spark chaos without getting crushed before it spreads. Convince the right inmates, exploit old grudges, maybe sabotage the food supply or trigger a blackout in the yard. The guards need to believe it's real—violent, uncontrollable, and worth pulling resources away from the escape route. Just be ready: once it starts, there's no dialing it back.

Kasmion's part of the plan was the riot. Hack, no. Droids, certainly not. But riots he could do all day. He had plenty of miserable grim resentment to share as fuel, plenty of insight into his fellow inmates' weak points. This and his training as a Shamer, a lethal telepath, had kept him as safe as anyone in here could be over the course of weeks. Neither this prison nor Sith territory nor the will of the Sith themselves would hold him; he had sworn this.

At the appropriate moment, exactly at the appropriate moment, the riot kicked off. He'd set the wheels in motion some days earlier with well-chosen unforgettable suggestions to persons whose continued safety was not among his priorities. He'd made rapid judgments after arriving here, and grudges too, and he'd done nothing with those until now. The first five people to get hit had all crossed or disrespected him in unconnected ways. He watched from the edge of the yard with some grim satisfaction.

It reeked of sweat, rust, and despair. A dim lit industrial common area that had benches and tables with some broken seatings. Cracked tiles lined the floor, stains with fluids no one dared to identify. Overhead, a half-shattered ceiling panel buzzed like an angry insect. Slowly the inmate's cell doors were being opened. It was “recess”, the one time they were able to be out of their cell blocks to stretch their legs. Bright orange jumpsuits made all the inmates easily identifiable. Some inmates loitered in cautious clusters while others were by themselves. Sentry droids clanked along their present routes. Scanning inmates and its surroundings for any anomalies.

Sitting at the edge of the bunk, CT-312 caught the small ball that bounced off the wall. Throwing and catching it back repeatedly, waiting for her turn. It’s been almost a week and a half since CT-312 and TK-710 were admitted in. Commandeering an incoming inmate transfer transport. “Removing” the original two inmates. Both now donning the numbers KRK-9812 & KRK-4476. Looking down at her jumpsuit, the serial tag number printed “KRK-9812”. Recalling the events leading up to this:

— //: ISD LADY OF FORTUNE ://—

The light in the room was sterile and bright, humming with the quiet tension. CT-312 stood beside TK-710 in front of the holotable that was located in the middle of the room. There were no other personnel present, just the two of them. A voice cut from the overhead speakers giving them their new mission orders. The holotable activated showing details and images of their assignment. “You both will pick an alias and will be going to prison. Located on Anoat, Karthak Prison Complex. Target is a defector of the DeathDrop, IC-8473. Formally assigned to the Imperial Intelligence Recon.”

A holo-image of the target shimmered above the table. A man who had a lean build, bald, sharp-faced, and a burn scar under one eye was shown. “We’ve traced him to Karthak under a false ID. He is currently prisoner KRK-8473, hiding under a fabricated prison sentence. Thinking we’ll forget. Your orders are to locate, confirm what he said and whom he has spoken to, and terminate. Bring back proof he’s dead: DNA sample, retinal ID, biometric scan. Whatever’s left when you’re done.”

Interrogate. CT-312 could kill cleanly, making it quick or slow. She knew how to shut someone down. But never had been asked to make someone talk. Not having any training on what to do or how to stomach what may come after.

“And if he won’t talk?”

“Then make him talk. Break him. That’s why we’re sending you both instead of another drone in Imperial armor. This is a mission for ghosts.”

At that moment, CT-312 realized what this assignment really was. A test. Of loyalty and creativity. To see what they were willing to become when their orders drifted into the gray.

“There is no recovery team. You’ll be partnered up with a civilian contact. Smuggler. Name’s Sinya Tarkona Sinya Tarkona . She will supply you with weapons and whatever you need to get the job done. They are also your ride out for extraction. There’s an armory sealed behind reinforced blast doors on the lower east wing. Breach it, arm yourself, and break out. Your connection to the DeathDrop must remain undisclosed. That is all.”

The door to CT-312’s cell was remotely opened. Sliding automatically with a loud click. Pocketing the ball, she got up from her bunk and began making her way out into the common area where the rest of the inmates were. Lazily walking with watchful eyes. CT-312 has been memorizing the patrol routes and times for the sentry droids. Occasionally locating the camera’s around the facility.

As CT-312 finally stepped into the common area, spotting TK-710 in her peripherals. Slowly making her way around towards him, her eyes scanned the rest of the inmates. Locating their target, KRK-8473. Who was sitting by himself on one of the benches, skittish. Swapping up her reaction and persona to a more enthusiastic approach as she neared TK-710.

“KRK-4476! Remember me? It’s Rook. Funny seeing you here. It's been so long since the last job. I forget, what do you call yourself again?“ Patting TK-710 on his back. Rook leaned in a bit closer whispering “Don’t forget we’re meeting our contact later on today. We should be getting some supplies in.” Taking a few steps back, hands now shoved in her pockets, she turned around. “Have you seen our good friend KRK-8473?” Smiling.

A voice cut through the chatter and hum of the area, interrupting. “Those who were assigned prison jobs, it’s time to get to work you slops”

Rook raised her brow at the sudden announcement. "You heard the big man in the sky. Time for work." They both began making their way to the laundry area.

This is a mission for ghosts.

Jacen just nodded along, internalizing the orders he was being given. Interrogate and execute. No need to extract the target.
Part of him wondered when he suddenly became one of the Order's silent hit men. First Trenwyth, now this.
But the targets he was given made it all worth it. Rebels there, a traitor here.

Jacen learned a lot about himself during his time serving the Sith. His willingness to cause pain for the right reasons, and what those right reasons were. Traitors. People who break faith, cause chaos. Enemies of the peace his Empire sought to bring.
"We'll get it done," he said with another nod before looking over at CT-312. "Let's go back to jail," he finished with a chuckle.

The beds of the Prison were rock hard. Like resting on metal. But still, Jacen found himself spending alot of time laying on it with his hands under his head staring at the ceiling. When the door slid open and it was time to go out and mingle. Almost immediately he saw 312 moving towards him, and he nodded at her. "Yeah, Rook, yeah," he said, nodding as if suddenly remembering. "My name's..." he paused for a moment, then finished, "Senn."

He nodded again as she reminded him of their duties, and shook it again when she asked if he saw the traitor. "No, not yet. I've been asking. I don't think our friend is in this wing." He shook his head again and nudged his head towards a more secured wing, protective custody.

The call to begin their work duty came as no surprise, and Jacen nodded along as 312 repeated the order. "Oh goodie. My favorite part of the day," he joked.

The door to the laundry area was guarded by a single droid with a blaster melded into it's frame on one hand and a stun baton on the other. "About time," it said coldly, "You have double duty today, inmates," is said, regarding the two with lifeless hollow sockets where the eyes should be, "Laundry and shipment,"
Jacen smiled, remembering the unfortunate accident the inmates assigned to dockwork suffered the previous night, "Don't look so happy, inmate KRK-4476," The droid said, turning it's head towards Jacen with a mechanical, almost imperceptible whirr, "...or you'll be charged with what happened."

Jacen nodded his head, "Of course not. Just happy to work, you know me."

"Unfortunately," The droid said and stepped aside, "Take care of the laundry quick, inmates, then report to the dock."

Sinya Tarkona

Putting the smug in smuggler.

hOTQNEV.png
Objective: 2 "Lock and Load"
Location: Wild Bantha, Karthak Prison landing pad.
Equipment: Stashed in smuggling compartment.

Sinya stood in the Cargo Bay of the Wild Bantha with her ship's loadmaster, a young human male with a shock of blond hair who insisted on going by the name Skid. They were making final preparations on a trio of cargo containers, all of which contained supplies that were boring but necessary for the prison to exist, sanitary products, uniforms, and minor luxuries that prisoners could purchase on their commissary accounts. Two of them were exactly what they appeared to be, ready to be collected by prisoners that she was assured were part of one of her two jobs here. But the third, the container, she would be punching herself had a small smuggling compartment built into it, the proper pressure in the right place when opening the container's lid would show a pair of blaster carbines, her A-150 pistols, a datapad loaded with intrusion software, her comlink, and a handful of EMP charges large enough to fry a droid, some security sensors, or the circuitry in a door.

"Don't worry about a thing Boss. A Hutt has a better chance of finding a treadmill than the guards do of finding our extra shipment." Skid told her as he gave the container door a slap as if it would ensure it's security.

Sinya wasn't worried about that though, she'd made Skid the ship's loadmaster because somehow he was able to keep anything he wanted hidden from the authorities. Hollowing out the secure door on a small shipping container to use as a smuggling compartment had been his idea.

"The only thing that's got me worried is that you're telling me not to." Sinya remarked with a healthy dose of humour.

What she was worried about was that she'd double dipped on jobs here; the first one was to deliver supplies to a pair of Sith Order infiltrators, wait for them to deal with some sort of defector or informant, then fly them out. She'd been told they would be the prisoners assigned to the work detail to help her unload her cargo, KRK-9812 and KRK-4476. The second job was to assist in the breakout of KRK-3227, Kinley Pryse. This job was backed by the Black Sun, and some wheels were greased with bribes and messages from them beforehand.

Both employers had provided her with the prisoner IDs of the people she needed to look for and she reviewed them one last time before putting her datapad away.

Sith Order

The Bantha's cargo bay ramp lowered, and the door opened as a board-looking scanning crew from the prison's staff walked up into the cargo bay. One approached Sinya and handed her a green plastoid card with some writing and her picture on it, a visitor badge. The other lazily scanned the three crates, being extra sloppy on the container with the smuggling compartment, one of the guards Black Sun had bribed, most likely, she tried to remember his face so she wouldn't shoot him by accident later.

"Everything appears to be in order. Wait here and the prisoners assigned to assist you will be along shortly." The guard who had given her the ID said before disappearing down the ramp with his partner leaving them alone for the moment.

I've got friends in low places and enemies in graves
Kinley was, oddly enough, enjoying prison. Doing time came with the territory in her line of work, and truth be told, the break from her boss, Flint, was more than welcome. She'd used her inmate credits to call home and make sure someone was checking in on her dad. With no pressing obligations and no Flint breathing down her neck, it almost felt like a vacation. Anything was better than dealing with that smug, slippery bastard. What she didn't know was that Flint wasn't exactly the patient type—and he'd already greased the right palms to pull her out, whether she wanted it or not.

Her first suspicion was the small riot happening in the yard. She noticed a large blue individual enjoy the chaos and raised her eyebrows. She was curious what this was about but she knew better than to outright ask. Instead she slunk over with her hands in her pocket, chewing gum and grinned.

"I've got ten credits on the Rodian. He looks like a scrapper."
