Name: Dobarrodon
Designation: Non-sentient (About as smart as a wolf)
Homeworld: Duniya
Language: Hisses, chirps, clicks, growls
Average height of adults: 1.8 meters at the head
Average length of adults: 3.7 meters head to tail
Skin color: Dark green, brown
Hair color: None, black quills
Breathes: Type I

Strengths:
Speed: Dobarrodons are fast. Fully adapted to running through the deep jungle and the obstacles that poses, Dobarrodons are excellent at chasing down their prey. Though they're almost eclusively seen in the jungle, it's predicted that in an open field a Dobarrodon could run up to 112 kmph for short distances.
Killer claw: Dobarrodons sport two large curved killing claws, capable of shredding flesh, disembowling prey, and much much more!
Jaws: With jaws capable of biting down with the force of 1814 kilograms per square inch, if one of these bite you you're doomed. They have a reputation for snapping bones and cracking light armor to get at their prey's flesh.
Eyesight: Dobarrodons have amazing eyesight, capable of seeing perfectly in almost no light.

Weaknesses:
Fragile bones: With hollow bones like a bird, Dobarrodons are prone to injury when attacking strong prey.
Lack of stamina: Though they are able to run extremely fast, this is only in short bursts.
Vunerable tail: As they use their tail for balance, if their tail was to be badly damaged they would basically be unable to walk.
Weak arms: Though their arms come with sharp claws as well, they are not heavily muscled, and are a weak point.

Distinctions: Dobarrodons are reptillian creatures covered with pebbled skin, featuring a reptile-like mouth, a long tail, curved killing claws, and four rows of quills going down the back of their necks, which stand straight up when trying to intimidate a predator, or when about to attack- often accomponied by a hissing sound.

Average Lifespan: Thirty years
Races: The ones on Duri tend to be slightly larger, other then that no unique races.
Estimated Population: Large amounts, on Duniya only
Diet: Meat. Meat. And more meat.
Communication: Hisses, chirps, clicks, growls

Culture: They are not sentient, therefore have about as much culture as a rock.

Technology level: They do not use tools.

General behavior: Dobarrodons are pack hunters, hunting in groups of five to seven in order to bring down larger prey. They are describe to work together as a team seamlessly, to a point where the miners of Duniya used to claim that they telepathically communicated with eachother- some even going as far as to say they were force sensitive. Both claims are false, they mostly operate as a unit through instinct, but also communicate with a series of clicks, hisses, and growls. They have rows of quills going from the top of their heads going downt he backs of their necks, which serve no purpose as far as anyone can tell other then to raise and scare away predators, as well as suprise prey when about to attack. Dobarrodons have not been studied by xenofauna experts, therefore little of their behavior and mannerisms are unknown, other then what had been observed by the miners that used to inhabit Duniya.

History: Dobarrodons were discovered and named in 378 ABY, by the first group of explorers to come to Duniya. They were one of the key reasons that miners rarely left their settlements, and virtually no one ventured into the jungle of Duniya.

Notable Player-Characters: That would be interesting.
Intent: To flesh out Duniya

I wanted to make Duniya's ecology prehistoric-esque. I'll be submitting ocean animals next... :)

But to answer your question; Two of those are sentient, two of those are simply classifications for animals like the Dobarrodon, not actual species, and one of those is much, much, larger. These are meant to be the equilvlent of wolves in Duniya. But yes, they are pretty much modified Utahraptors. :p

Hope that answers your question. :)
