Do A Barrel Roll!

Decker Willo sent out a message. He had a task to do. A new job within the Dark Hand, and that was to train and raise up capable fighter pilots. And that's just what he was to do as he held his helmet under his arm. But no doubt they would need capable ships for refueling during this op. So, he sent a different message to [member="Edward Thane"] to see if he could borrow a few. Upon his CR-90 Modified corvette, he awaited people to begin arriving.

The captain would catch the sight of ships jumping in. Fighters and such. With his squadron already out there performing maneuvers, all he was to do was to make capable pilots. It was his new mission. And he was already nervous about it, he wiped at beads of sweat at his fore head.

While still fresh in his new position, Thane approved the request, taking a shuttle out with the refueling transports to watch the exercise with a modicum of interest, taking the opportunity to scrutinize one he would be working with in the coming days. "They're all yours. Make sure none of them crash into the refueling ships or that will be a lot of wasted credits and lives."

The heavily modified HWK-295 freighter fell out of hyperspace, and sensor contacts blipped into life on the vessel's central pilot console. His viewscreen greeted him with the familiar sight of a CR-90, and he let out a low whistle in approval for no one in particular. He didn't have Hand IFF tags for his new ship yet, so Mereel began broadcasting the ship's Republic identification markers for the Dark Hand practice group to see.

"R9-2.. hell, that's too long of a name. R9, begin broadcasting on open frequency, keep it short range. Really kriffing short."

R9 let out a high pitched whistle in affirmation as the droid connected itself to an access port by the copilot's seat. A short series of low pitched boops let him know that it was time for him to introduce them, "Evening, fellow members of the Dark Hand. I need new IFF tags so if you don't vaporize my new ship while we get that worked out, that'd be great."

How does one fly? It was a question Krest had wanted an answer to for most, if not all, of his life. Never being taught and never bothering to take the time. So as he stepped into the hanger in his usual outfit of leathers with his sword on his hip it would be rather clear how little he actually knew of ships and how to run them. He'd step up to the group of [member="Mereel Vaun"] , [member="Edward Thane"] , and [member="Decker Willo"] with his hands behind his head and casually shrugging his shoulders.

"Sup."

Decker Willo had a communicator in hand. All communications went from the bridge to it, so he could talk to any not on board. "Welcome, all of you! I shall be your drill instructor, so if I say give me twenty you give me twenty! I tell you to do a loop, you do a loop! Understood?!" He kept a straight face a while, before a grin broke out. "For those who can't see me right now, I am trying not to laugh. Just poking fun, anyway. I am Decker Willo for those of you who don't know me." He leaned against his X-Wing as he spoke, his tone shifting from the drill tone to a more casual one. His squadron was already out there, doing their maneuvers. And he had some ground rules to lay down before he would join them.

"Now, I have a couple spare fighters that have been loaned by the more experienced of my squadron. Six fighters. Here are the rules; This is a dangerous training session. No training blasters or stuns. You are using laser cannons on lower power. Now, to avoid casualty you will be doing simple dog fighting. If your target's shields go down, stop firing. If your shields go down, break off and head for one of the few ships out there. They will be used for repairs and rearmament. You may thank [member="Edward Thane"] for lending them." He stopped there and waited for any questions. Then gave the signal. "Well off you go! Oh, and whoever is first to take me down gets to take an X-Wing home! Good luck!"
