Objective: Meet with the High Sith Representative
Location: Flotilla Lounge, Makeb
Tags: Darth Megarea

It was not often that President Strassmann of the Fromco Group left the so called "Fromco Industrial Sector" nor came to a planet such as this. Makeb had seen much action when it was invaded by the Hutt Cartel during the Old Republic Period. Both the Republic and the Sith Empire of the time rushed into makeb not fully knowing the full extent of the cartel's damage until it became apparent. Their drilling had begun to destabilizing the planetary core. Although the cartel fought back against the two superpowers on the ground it was for naught with the death of Supreme Mogul Toborro.

It was within his ancient palace on makeb, that Flotilla Lounge was established. Only those with an invitation could hope to acquire a seat among the galactic elite and corpos that often gathered here to discuss personal business away from Alliance Marshals and the heavy imperialism of the New Imperial Order. Wolfgang had already arrived within the lounge and pulled some strings to have a section reserved for himself and his invited guest.

The 82 Year Old Corpo had recently been in contact with the High Sith, a newly emerged sith organization that would no doubt challenge the Original Sith Order and the New Sith Order combined. The Fromco Group was a highly diversified organization with many companies within its ranks although granted independent control of their operations. This meeting could propel his group of companies into galactic prominence much like how the Trade Federation controlled the Imperial Economy of the New Imperial Order although this fact was kept secret to avoid a widespread uprising within their borders.

His appearance was organized to say the least with his hair slicked back with some form of gel and his round reflective glasses upon his wrinkled face. His pressed black suit displayed only with a tie and medal which showcased the logo of the fromco group upon it and his position within the organization. He clutched a black cane within his right hand and was currently leaning upon it for support. Although he didn't need it to walk and was more than able to run away should the situation call for it. It was better to act his age to make people ignore him as a threat.

Strassmann moved his glass of wine away from table into his unoccupied hand while he sat upon the couch within the reserved room. Bringing the glass up to his lips for a single sip as the cool red liquid washed down his throat, before resting it between his fingers while waiting for his friend to arrive at this location. Around the room was eight Sentry Droid Mark I which protected him from harm although they were spread out to watch from all angles. His gaze followed to the service droid bowing before him.

"Sir, Your guest has arrived."

The Service Droid Replied having lead his guest into the room for the meeting.

"Zat is fine, send them in"

He said with a hint of a heavy foreign ascent towards the droid who promptly bowed and departed. Leaving the wizarded president to his lonesome for the timebeing.

The arrival of Darth Megarea was one sorely lacking in the fanfare most Sith leaders in the past had demanded. A simple shuttle bearing the freshly painted symbol of the High Sith blazoned on its side. She wore a set of form fitting black and grey pants and shirt, with a black and grey jacket worn over, the middle parted to show her shirt underneath. Her hair, shaved on one side and long on the other, drifted about her shoulders as she was met by security upon her arrival. There was initial hesitation; she did not come with any escort and she had flown the craft herself, one of the few hobbies she still enjoyed. Finally though, after confirming her credentials, she was escorted inside.

Even before she entered the Flotilla Lounge, her senses began taking in every detail. She could feel the presence of the individuals both inside and near the room. She could feel the cold, dead space where the living Force flowed around seemingly invisible objects, a clear indicator at the presence of droids. Every detail was compiled in her head as they made their rather slow progression towards the meeting site. It gave her time to consider her position better.

The High Sith sought to build a new Empire in the eastern fringes of the galaxy. They had already selected a new homeworld, and work had begun on the construction of a capital city. Resources shortages, labor shortages, and every other conceivable shortage had popped up during the few months the project had been underway. She lacked the overwhelming financial backing the Sith nations of the past had, or the sheer dominating control they could force upon corporations to get their will. For the time being, the High Sith would need ties to outside organizations to help build their new capital. They would need aid in establishing shipyards, factories, and the creation of new corporations of their own.

With these thoughts in mind, Megarea was ushered in to the private section that Wolfgang Strassmann had secured for their meeting. Her golden eyes lingered on him for the briefest of moments before she glanced around the rest of the room. She noted the Sentry Droids in their watching positions around the room, confirming the guess she had made at their presence and number. Her eyes drifted, taking in every detail she possibly could, before she finally settled them on the man before her. Several slow, drawn out steps carried her across the room to where Wolfgang was sitting. A flick of her wrist saw a chair pivot its position, allowing her to seamlessly transition from her walk into a relaxed sitting position.

"Mr Strassmann, I assume? I am pleased you agreed to meet with me."

Once his guest had entered into the reserved section of the lounge. Strassmann took in every single detail from her clothing to the way she walked. Her clothing was to whom would describe as casual but functional which served to compliment his slightly unorthodox look. He had often heard that the Ancient Sith had many styles of clothing some would mention as outdated but powerful in presenting a certain image.

She no doubt took in the notice of the Sentry Droids around the room. Although this meeting was to benefit both of them for the time being, hostile intentions during negotiations were to be expected considering the nature of the person he was dealing with. While jedi could be reasoned with for the most part depending on whom the jedi was and their personality, the sith took things by force without considering the consequences of their actions. Some of them were smart and knew how to manipulate people into doing their bidding without them even noticing it happening.

He thoughts returned back into reality, when the dark lord took a seat with a semblance of defined grace.

"You are correct, Darth Megarea"

He responded in regards to her presumption it was him.

"I would be a fool not to accept your invitation to meet, considering that new markets bring new customers and therefore more profit into my group of corporations"

He said with a slight underhanded tone, morals were placed out of the window when it came to prospective marketing. The SILK act of the Galactic Alliance benefited corporations immensely and the Trade Federation's control of the New Imperial Order was absolute. Strassmann desired influence more than self proclaimed power or military might because why get your hands dirty when someone else could do it for you.

"Now that we have pleasantries out of the way. Lets get down to business on why you are here. It is my understanding that you currently are in a bad spot financially and would like assistance in acquiring capital to help expand your empire. Although if I am wrong in my understanding, by all means counter me."

He said with some degree of insurance on why the person was here. Clutching his cane within his right hand as the other poured another class of wine into his now empty glass. Strassmann was interested in her response and how he could benefit from the arrangement.

Darth Megarea leaned back in the chair she was in, folding one leg over the other, and idly tapping one of her black fingernails on the arm of her chair. For a businessman, this Strassmann was incredibly on the nose when it came to discussions. In a way, it was refreshing; she had been dealing with plenty behind the scenes and veiled discussions among her own people in the past months. Every day, she had to deal with dozens of Sith each jockeying for positions and power, and rarely ever saying so directly. To have this man clearly state his intention was a pleasent thing.

Though she would be a fool to let her guard down entirely.

“The High Sith Empire is in a position that would benefit from…support.” She was careful to reword the man’s original phrasing. To admit that her fledgling nation were in desperate need of anything would be a poor way to begin negotiations. “Most of my resources have been tied into the creation of projects elsewhere, but now that we have begun work on our new capital world, we are spread thin. The necessities of bringing civilization to a world that has never seen it, far away from main hyperspace lanes, and lacking native peoples and resources has been logistically difficult.”

Pausing, she gestured, asking for a cup to be filled with the drink that the Corpo was drinking. Whether she had to fill it herself after getting his permission, or if he filled and handed the cup to the Sith himself, she would take a deep sip from the cup before continuing. “Even after we have finished construction of our capital city, we must bring industry, civilization and resources to the world, Malagarr. Beyond that, we need suppliers for military hardware, shipyards and ship resources, and the manpower to make it all function.”

Sitting back in her chair, she twirled the cup in her hand, watching the liquid slosh around. “What do you have to offer in terms of resources. Let me know all that you can do for me, and my Empire.”

"Support" was just another word for struggling within his mind. No matter how the high sith across from him tried to downplay their current situation. Driven by profit to be made within this arrangement calmed his flowing mind waves. Strassmann listened as she explained that her own resources have been tied into projects unknown to himself although that he suspected was another attempt to phrase them as being flat broke.

Logistics were easy to manage for a fledgling nation such as there's although the chance to introduce culture and civilization to a yet underdeveloped world peaked his corporate interests. He moved his hand towards another glass on the table, pouring the cool liquid into it before sliding it across the table towards her per requested. Being a good host was paramount to securing a deal here although he would squeeze every ounce of them to hand over his resources so freely.

He certainly had the industrial capacity to move large amounts of supplies unnoticed through several hyperspace lanes to their nation. Although the risk in such a move would be detrimental to himself and his banking account in the event that someone was to investigate this large number of cargo moving. Military Hardware, Shipyards and Ship resources were easy enough to acquire along with manpower. Everything they needed was his to give but they seemed to misunderstand that this wasn't a one way partnership and he would remind them of that.

"So, you seek to bring a large amount of industry and resources to an underdeveloped world. All of the things you mentioned I have little difficulty in acquiring"

He said without pause, bringing out a datapad from his suit and laying it upon a table.

"With a click of a button from my hand alone, those things can be yours. Although you seem to think that this is a one way arrangement where you recieve all the benefit from this transaction. I'm running a business here not a charity house."

He paused to make his point, before carrying on.

"Let us rephrase the statement into, what can both of us get out of this little deal. I can offer everything to you that you seek, but what can your empire offer me."

Strassmann posed this question, with a slight eyebrow raised. He had over 80 years of experience within the corporate sphere and knew how to negotiate with even the toughest of businessman and lawyers. If the High Sith Empire could offer him nothing in exchange for his resources than this meeting was going to conclude. He was risking everything by making this deal, he deserved something as compensation.
