Digging for Truth [Mandos]

The Golden Rose dropped out of hyperspace a short distance from Mandalore. She had not wanted to drop right above the planet and set them on edge. One could hazard several guesses about the mandalorians with the very simple understanding that they were people of honour. Her first guess, was the fact that they had been caught between the two most powerful governments for far too long had set them on the defensive. The second guess, was that the Republic's current 'treaty' with the Empire, considering their own agreements with the Republic, may have been seen as a slight towards them.

But she was not part of the Republic, nor of the Empire. She was indifferent and she was here for an entirely different reason. Still, as she drew closer to the planet and opened a comm line to them sending her ships codes, it occurred to Rosa, that someone somewhere who paid any attention to the Grandmasters, might just know her name and make a connection to Darron Wraith.

That was the last thing she wanted, and she had considered using a fake name, but why start of working with honourable people, with a dishonourable move? "Golden Rose, state your business."

"My business is regarding a personal matter. I wish to speak to a few people, regarding the Liberator."

Silence answered her and Rosa sat back, assuming that the communications officer was simply looking for the right response to give her.

Kaliya had been stuck on radio tower duty today and it honestly was not that bad considering nothing really happened. She idly paid attention to the space monitoring instruments at her disposal until she began to hear a small proximity alarm. The type of sound it was alerted her to the fact that the ship had been at least somewhat scanned and wasn't a perceived threat. Kaliya patched her armor with the communications array to allowed her to hail the ship saying.

"Golden Rose, state your business."

After waiting for a moment she hear the speakers click signaling that she was about to respond. Kaliya made sure to record the request as she was supposed too in the event this did not turn out well. She sat tapping her fingers to a melody inside her own head while the few mandalorian brethren that occupied the radio tower with her all were either hard at working or very good at pretending to be working hard. With her helmet she had a techno trance album on replay which only stopped playing music when Rosa started speaking again.

"My business is regarding a personal matter. I wish to speak to a few people, regarding the Liberator."

Kaliya sighed to herself, why did everyone think they could just come here unannounced and have a smooth transition. Part of Kaliya was irritated even tempted to revoke the woman's request for landing but she could tell by the woman's voice and tone she knew someone important here.

Your going to have three of our vessels come escort you down. We will be running a transponder code runner and weapons scan during the escort down so don't be alarmed. I need to know who do you need to speak so after your searched upon landing I can have them waiting for you."

Rosa had expected no less and she merely smiled to herself at the comm officers response. "I expected no less." She replied with regards to the scans. In their shoes Rosa would have done the same. She imagined traders found life difficult coming here these days, with security measures so high.

"Honestly, I couldn't tell you who I need to speak to. I'm investigating the movements of a particular sith and the evidence I've found so far tells me he's left more than his mark on a few of your people. I could give you their name, but in all honesty, I'm not particularly trusting of any open communication lines. Perhaps there is a clan leader available who I can speak to?"
Her sensors picked up the three escort ships and she moved with them into the atmosphere, paying no mind to the scanners. She had nothing to hide, the Golden Rose was minimally armed and she herself only carried a lightsaber, but that rested in her quarters and not on her hip. Force users were not exactly trusted these days and in truth, she didn't expect she'd need it.

Dressed casually, in jeans and a sweater, she hoisted a back pack over her shoulder once the Rose hand landed and move to the lowering landing ramp to see who would greet her.

Adenn had folowed the new ship to its landing point. He had no idea who was piloting it. But he wanted to know. It wasn't a Mandalorian vessel so he had to make sure it wasn't the Sith. He hopped off his speeder and ran towards the landing ramp. Taking out his railgun he aimed at whoever might be on the other side. The lowering ramp revealed a woman "who are you and why are you here" he asked the woman. He made sure that she had no bounies on her then asked again "why are you here"

And then Verz entered the thread. Verz had requested that the defense forces on Mandalore alert him when unauthorized ships entered the system. As he had learned from his friend and predecessor Mia Monroe, one could never be too careful. The Sith were always prowling about. And so Verz activated the comm relay he had in his home, a hologram appeared on the Golden Rose's bridge. The Mandalore himself, wearing his trademark crimson armor.

"Golden Rose, this is Verz Horak. For what reason do you wish to speak with an allit'buir?"

Verz's hologram would find itself speaking to an empty bridge with nothing but silence to respond to him for Rosa had already descended the boarding ramp, her hands raised showing her empty palms to Adenn who had his weapon trained on her. She had expexpected paranoia to be high. She did not expect to be looking at a mandalorian down the barrell of a rail gun. She sighed at his question. Did they not speak to the communications officer she had spoken to.

"My name, " she said softly "is Rosa. I requested a clan leader or someone of equivalent status. You've scanned my ship and you know it is no threat to you or your people so how about we try this in a more civilised manner where you're not pointing a weapon at an unarmed civilian."

Much higher upon a communications tower another interested party was perched. Deep charcoal hued armor blended into the dusky grey hues of the antenna and satellite array behind him. Genuflecting in a poise of observation, Azrael had watched the ship descend with it's three escorts. A single ship wasn't much, and didn't often carry much more than a small landing crew. The scope of the M.20 linked to his HUD, and gave him a side view of the scope's zoom capacity while he used the other array of his field of vision to calculate a few things like wind resistance, and distance. The rail gun wasn't at a charge yet, it was merely a tool for accurate observation, though it could be ready within seconds. The Mand'alor didn't often personally see to the arrival of non-appointed arrivals to the planet unless it raised some red flags. The name of Manda'alor the Liberator though was surely the reason he was in attendance.

Azrael hadn't known Mia other than seeing her a few times on occasion and taking indirect orders from the Rally Masters when he was just an initiate in the ranks. She had been off-world since Verz had stepped up to transition into the role of their sole ruler. Horak was far more familiar to the Ord Mantell native. Having trained under him exclusively, he looked up to the man as Mand'alor first, and an ori'vod second. Any outside meeting like this was certain to be accompanied by the proper preparations and support. Even if Verz wasn't aware of it, he would have loyal Mando'ade watching his back. The woman was interesting though - as she didn't show any fear, but was rather confident in her unarmed state. Weapons pointed at others was a commonality among the vod. If you didn't have a weapon drawn on you when you visited Mandalore for the first time, you were something very special.

"You can never be too careful" Adenn said lowering his railgun, he still kept it level with the woman though "but you're gonna have to wait for a clan leader because I'm not one" Adenn hoped more Mandalorians would make it here soon, so they could find out why this woman was here.

And with that, Verz decided to head out himself. He left his house and started up his landspeeder, and started driving to Keldabe. He alerted the security forces with a quick message, and asked to be patched in to the responders at the site of the Golden Rose's landing. He was patched through to @[member="Adenn Gra'tua"] , and spoke quickly to the Initiate.

"Initiate, inform the pilot of the Golden Rose that an allit'buir will speak with her shortly."

With that said, he cut off the connection, and continued on his drive to Keldabe. Idily, while driving, he wondered why one would wish to speak to a clan leader about Mia. It had been some time since he spoke with the Liberator.

As the rail gun was lowered, Rosa's hands dropped and she smiled at the mandalorian. "Your caution is understandable given recent events, I can't fault you for it. Were I in you shoes I would be doing the same." She clasped her hands behind her back and set her feet shoulder width apart.

"I can wait, I'm not in any rush."
