Location: somewhere on the enemy ship

Objective: Stay alive, find something useful to do

Asteria felt the air decrease just as she got the warning from Colap. She slammed her visor down and turned the extra air on. It would last her two hours, and she hoped to be off the ship before her helmet ran out. She ran, left, right, left, another left, through a fortunately open door and straight into an area that vaguely looked like, though her sensitive eyes could barely make it out, a long hallway. Ignoring the alarm bell that rang through her head, she slowed down to a jog and kept going.

[member="Keira Ticon"] [member="Anja Aj'Rou"]

It was just as Keira burst into the hallway and spoke that colap came down on the Primeval leaders with savage grin as great as any. He was still fully encased in his suit and stood tall as he approached laughing a hearty laugh. Blood streaks from the soldiers he had mercilessly slain adorned him and glinted in the low lights of his headlamps as it snapped on.

"Looks like your time is up too. You see what happens when you screw with the Ticons?"

Colap held his hands wide in a gesture of innocence as he shrugged. As soon as he as finished he leapt forwards, swinging the jagged bottle and sending a stream of bolts from his westar dead center towards the Prime-evil leader.

"Now face the wrath of house Ticon ya foul knave!"

The battle had gone on for some time now, damages to both sides have been done: Anja had just turned the corner to the voice of Keira, which was suddenly interrupted by a stream of gunfire. Almost without thinking Anja engaged the lightsaber, deflecting the bolts against the wall and a few back towards the two causing the sensory to shut Keira and Anja in-between two blastdoors. The two were now alone, Anja's favoured vibroblade was sheathed at her side the lightsaber disengaged. "You intrigue me.", Anja stated as she brushed her back slightly, some sweat dripping down the side of her face; mostly adrenaline was rushing throughout her body. She then tossed the lightsaber to it's belonger, the disengaged device flying towards the rogue padawan. Anja had just unlocked her awareness in the force fully, and the feeling was intoxicating. She had no real understanding of it, not its nature but nonetheless she was beginning to command its power in the fight and was eager to see what it could do. The vibroblade was actively generating in full effect. The two of them were now in a perfect dueling situation.

On the other side of the blastdoor, the commandos sent out by Catalys intended to give [member="Colap Ticon"] and [member="Asteria Starcatcher"] a run for their money, firing a few stray blind shots around the corner before taking up positions behind debris and inside nooks. Everything was closing in a tight space and the Sephi warriors continued to push their way -- costly -- towards the Hanger.

[member="Keira Ticon"] [member="Ice"] [member="Cryax Bane"]

Catalys could hear the source of battle coming from somewhere between the bridge and Anja's personal chambers, down the hall to where the entry way into the prison area was. Things were getting ugly by the sound of it and radio chatter revealed the counter attack was staggering towards the Hanger. The window for the enemy's escape was narrowed but they weren't trapped yet. In fact, the bottleneck was doing them a favour: If they opened the hanger there would be a clear path out assuming their ship had more tricks up its sleeve. If that was the case, there's no way they could allow the Carnage-class to fire into the hanger; the blast would potentially destroy much of the internal framework killing many. Not exactly a victory they could count on. Catalys took a hard bite down, gritting his teeth behind his helmet and looked at the control room. Assuming they didn't do too much damage to the reactor yet -- seeing as warning lights were lit towards that end of the HUD map -- he could hope to restore the full shields and lockout controls from the bridge momentarily. He fiddled with what he could but time was running out.

He had no intentions of disobeying direct orders but when it came to these extremes, Catalys was not one to allow it to play out this way.

Blinking in surprise as her weapon was thrown to her with no effort necessary on her part, Keira reached up with her bound hands to catch it, the hum of the saber quickly filling the air as it was ignited without a moment's hesitation. With a simple flick of the wrist the chains that bound her hand and foot were cut away, and she took a moment to cut the manacles from her wrists and ankles as well, allowing herself a small smile at the feeling, a full range of motion once more available. That, coupled with the weapon she held in her left hand, her saber hand, was enough to raise her spirits considerably. Finally, she had a fighting chance. And that was all that she needed. Because where there's a will, there's a way, and that went doubly so with her.

Instead of attacking or otherwise exploiting the advantages available on home turf the other woman only stood there, vibroblade in hand, after making her comment. That again struck her as odd, but she wasn't in much of a position to split hairs. "After being held here and tortured I really can't say the same for you. Maybe if you worked on your hospitality a bit." As she spoke she noted how tight quarters were going to be if this escalated into a fight, which it most likely would. As one who utilized acrobatics in her fighting style that would make things more difficult, but it could just as easily be remedied. The only aspect she didn't like was the darkness that still encompassed them. Although the orange-bladed lightsaber in her grasp gave off some light, it wasn't enough by any means.

"Right now I'd say your best bet is letting us go, because you aren't going to like what happens once he gets past that door." Her older brother [member="Colap Ticon"] was as stubborn as they come, and if she knew him at all he'd find a way back while simultaneously bringing down the opposition with no real stress on his part. Despite her words, in her weakened state she was in no real condition to fight, though that hadn't stopped her before. She would be able to keep up for the first few minutes, but would likely succumb to sheer exhaustion soon enough. "Come on, don't keep me waiting. I'd like to see how well I can cut through that armor of yours. You don't have a lapdog to save you this time."

Anja had never engaged in a duel with one such as Keira, let-alone against a lightsaber. What she did know is that a vibroblade could withstand the deadly weapon and hold its own; just it did not cut as well. One thing that she also knew was two lightsaber combat forms as a majority of them were instituted in general melee combat. In this instance she engaged in Form VII: Juyo, her favoured stance that she developed since her adolescence. The other form she engaged in regularly but was less attuned to was Form VI: Niman which although balanced did not suit well to her personality but was found useful in instances. She had hoped to use the aggressive stance of Juyo to her advantage in the tighter space against a one-on-one enemy in the dark, which she was also well equipped thanks to the natural ability of her people. Further she had hoped to continue using her natural ability to read and influence the will of others to control the morale aspect of the battle.

"Torture? I do not torture.", she said readying herself in stance. "You may not know it yet but you have been touched by the Gods. Can you not feel it? The whispers?", her own force powers continued to grow. Backboned by the sly nature of her race.

"You were granted the blade for a reason. Feel it, feel it grow inside you."

Nonetheless a duel would engage but Anja was not making the first move.

[member="Keira Ticon"]

Again with this talk of the Gods. Never being one for religion herself, more due to her upbringing than anything, Keira still found it difficult to grasp what was supposed to be compelling about the entirety of the concept. But what she did understand, or sense rather, were the tendrils of both the Force and the influence of the woman attempting to worm their way into her subconscious. That trick had worked with the armored man that had brought her here, but as the saying went, 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.' And she wasn't about to let something similar happen again, as long as she could help it. So she did her best to bat the haze away with her own resistance, taking a stance of her own, this one a hybrid of both Ataru and Djem So, her favored styles of combat.

Still, it was a moment before words found her lips, as the tip of her blade strayed in [member="Anja Aj'Rou"]'s general direction, a silent threat all its own. "I don't put much stock in invisible beings. I prefer to have faith in what I can see. And what I see is someone who needs to learn when enough is enough." She might not have been in peak physical condition, but her tongue was as sharp as any weapon. "The only whispers I'm hearing are the ones that are telling me to get rid of you and leave as soon as possible. Maybe we're not as in tune as you thought."

Reaching within herself she gathered the Force in her off hand, focusing the energy field until it was nearly malleable in her grasp, thrusting her palm out towards Anja that, if successful, would send her flying backwards. But with her lack of proper sleep and nutrition for the past weeks, among other things, she didn't put much thought into it being successful. Whether the attack connected, or even worked in the first place, she moved forward as quickly as she could, moving her blade in a fast flurry of movements meant to simply overwhelm. It was a strategy she'd employed many times before, and it would hopefully remain effective against one she presumed to have no experience in fighting a saber-wielding opponent.

The initial shock of the force push came a blunt attack, Anja placed her own hand out -- again nearly subconsciously -- in emulation and felt the connection absorbing most of the blow but it was enough to momentarily throw her off at the sudden movement from Keira. Due to the fast paced action, she combined a defensive-balance action from a Niman stance and swung to the side with a Juyo stance attack, giving her room to slip behind in the offchance of a counter swing. Although she hadn't faced an opponent wielding a lightsaber before, she was no stranger to melee combat. Still, the combat was more than exhilarating. It was daring. Despite having an advantage in sight and stamina, there was still a sense of danger when dealing with the potential loss of limbs.

Anja continued her action, the vibroblade audibly scratching the lightsaber that glowed past her; before swinging in her Juyo attack, raising from the top and then swinging left to center in an aggressive pace, some of her own raw power accumulating in the physical swing.

[member="Keira Ticon"]

With her sight being limited to what was visible with the glow of her saber Keira had to rely on the Force to clue her in to what attacks were coming, and as such just managed to block the swing of the vibroblade, the weapon's small area strange to her, as she was used to fighting someone who wielded something that was at the very least synonymous with a lightsaber. This was something new, but change wasn't always a bad thing. That thought proved to be too soon, as she felt the blade glance off of the bridge of her nose. The cut, minor in comparison to what complete contact with a vibroblade could render, had already begun to bleed, though she didn't spare any expense to wipe the blood away until they'd broken off from each other, at a dangerous stalemate.

Due in part more to her time spent as a Jedi more than anything, she was aware of which forms were preferable for countering something as aggressive as Juyo, which seemed to be the preferred style of her opponent. Unfortunately, the one that was most recommended, Makashi, wasn't in her retinue. What was, however, was her own adaptability and improvisation. That would have to suffice where her training failed, as it had so many times before. And, more often than not, unexpected, unorthodox attacks and tactics reaped more reward than something more structured. That was exactly what she was counting on.

Attacking again, this time with her movements better placed, she still kept the pace of the fight relatively fast. Even if she was at a disadvantage given everything but her experience in similar duels, she would exploit any advantage she could, one of them being her preference for a faster style of combat. It would more than likely wear down on her stamina more quickly than have any helpful effect, but at this point she was simply hoping to distract the other woman enough for an escape to be made possible.

[member="Anja Aj'Rou"]

Anja quickly turned back to face her opponent; her heart was beating faster with anticipation. The continued fast pace was quite unusual and most duels she's been in were hard won, part of the reason she was chosen as Host Lord was for her indiscriminate philosophies but a less-known calculation was her sheer brutal simplicity. Not everything had to be abstract, let alone elegant. Combat had one objective: Beat the other opponent -- to death preferably. There was no need for taunts or boastfulness, or elaborate attacks. A good feint and a steady blade were worth more to her than pulling off a hat trick. Once again Anja prepared her blade for a Niman-style block, focusing on using her opponent's momentum against her. The sidestep worked in her previous motions but this time the fast attack was better placed, and landed a hard strike against the vibroblade, the heat from the lightsaber curled a few hairs on her eyebrows as it pushed the blade back to her face before she was able to push it off.

In counter Anja hefted the blade swinging down in feint but stopping short and switching to her left hand in a side swing motion from a Juyo position which masked her traditional attacks. The ambidextrous nature of her person came to advantage in duels more times than one, but one thing she did fail to consider was that her opponent wished to escape more than anything. By this Anja was so locked into the battle from the focus required to maintain a proper Juyo stance that she would fail to readjust in the case of an escape attempt if a window opened. Nonetheless the battle went on, even though only a couple of blows were made against each other they were each hard and at least for Anja they were furious and passionate. She felt a connection with her opponent that transcended enemies; as she had always found, it's curious to know them and blasphemous or not she wished nothing else but to know them, to be them in the pursuit of battle. Life lost was not just an expense, it was a symphony and she was the conductor. A soft grin escaped her naturally monotone expression and if she hadn't before she felt alive and thrilled.

As ion blaster fire rang out in the air, Cryax hit the deck, crouching behind the terminal, and his Mirari bodyguard droids opened up their loadouts on the enemy soliders. Luckily, in the nick of time, the Chiss had managed to shut the reactor core down, using a backdoor that his custom software had found for him. He fired off a few shots with his rifle, hitting at least one of the enemy soldiers before commanding his Droids to follow him to the exit. A few of his droids did a nose dive off the platform as he and what was left of his droid team sprinted towards the exit, running back the way he'd come, his red eyes piercing the darkness searching for a way back to the ship.

As they hurried through the halls, the Chiss heard the faint sounds of a lightsaber hum coming from another corridor, and took a detour. With droids in tow, he snuck down the hallway and came upon a blast door that was shut, behind which the unmistakable sounds of a lightsaber could be heard. Whippnig his head around behind him for enemy soldiers, he plugged his Datapad into the blast door terminal and got to work on breaking in.

[member="Anja Aj'Rou"] [member="Keira Ticon"]

Another familiar presence, this one much closer, on the other side of the blast door to be exact. It seemed like [member="Cryax Bane"] had found them, and in the nick of time as well. Her stamina was beginning to wane, and she wasn't sure how much longer she'd be able to keep on the offensive. A strong offense was what she counted on in a fight, and with that almost out of the picture, going on the defensive would have to be her next best option, however much it went against her typical behavior. Normally not one to give any quarter, it was something that grated on her, though this was no time to dwell on such things. Her focus was encompassed by the battle currently being waged, vibroblade sparking against lightsaber.

So at the next attack Keira blocked instead of parrying with a counter, conserving her energy for what would hopefully be a successful attempt at opening at least one of the blast doors by Cryax. Cutting through them was another option, but one that required her to divert her attention from the task at hand, which was ultimately some kind of attempt at escape. Whether it would end up working out in the end only time would tell, but in her current state that was all that she could ask for, next to an opening for her to disarm the other woman.

As they were brought together in a lock of blades that brought them nearly face to face, cracking a grim, determined smile despite herself. "C'mon, is that all you've got? I've seen better from younglings."

Location: probably somewhere near [member="Colap Ticon"] and [member="Keira Ticon"]
Allies: [member="Ice"] [member="Nei Laa"] [member="Cryax Bane"]
Enemies: [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] and anyone not Raven
Objective: find out what in Hades is going on down the hall

Asteria heard blaster fire and a lightsaber ignite, which for her she was probably getting close to the Ticons. She increased back to a run and turned her commlink back on, "Colap, is that you down the long hallway? I think I'm closing in on your position."

The rest of the battle was drowned out. All of Anja's focus was on Keira and maintaining her Juyo stance against the opponent; there was no response to the meaningless insults. Instead Anja trailed back around and swung against a vent pipe that was exposed, attempting to use the sudden stream of air catch her off guard before going in for another Swing from the opposite side the air stream came from. On the other side of the door, a few Sephi made their approach towards the Slicer -- themselves unaware of their Host Lord being beyond the door. Towards Colap and Asteria more were inbound on the location, attracted to the sound of battle and towards the hanger the approach continued.

The Carnage-class had finally maneuvered itself around the exterior of the ship and was in targeting range and began to charge up the dual heavy turbolaser cannon mounted on the top of the warship, aiming towards the interior of the hanger where the enemy vessel had landed. The squadron of gu-54's maintained their position outside of the ship.

Nei Laa

Grumpy cat? No no no -- grumpy squid!
Location: Still in the hangar, though hoping to be on the move.
Allies: [member="Asteria Starcatcher"] [member="Keira Ticon"] [member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Ice"] [member="Colap Ticon"]
Enemies: [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] and her cronies! Including [member="Catalys Maijora"]
Objective: Keep shooting, try not to die. The usual.

In the midst of the shooting and other good stuff, Nei had a couple of epiphanies.

One: The hangar was big.

Two: There were no holes in the hangar.

Realization: Nei didn't need to worry about air just yet.

Boy, did she feel stupid.

Letting out a low growl and hoping no one else realized her embarrassing mistake, the Nautolan ceased her fire directed at Colan's enemy (the man had it taken care of, anyway). Deactivating the air reserves, the Nautolan ran towards where Colap had gone, hoping to catch up with him and not miss any of the main action. "Oi, I be coming your way, Ticon!" She called out over the comlink. "Uh...where you be?"

In the meantime she was keeping an eye out for any more enemies who could use a good blaster bolt to the face.

[member="Anja Aj'Rou"] [member="Nei Laa"] [member="Asteria Starcatcher"] [member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Catalys Maijora"]

"Yea it's me alright!" Colap roared at the top of his lungs through the headset. The others would probably lose an eardrum but that was ok. The nice thing about having been a salvager and a spacer so long was that Colap knew his way around things. Particularly how to get into areas he was not meant to.

"Iz boom time babay!"

He snatched a Handfull of Proton charges and slammed them into the door. Their adhesive strips stuck them firmly in place. These little suckers could blow up bunkers, turrets, hell even blast doors. Which he supposed was why he had them, as a secondary option to raise hell in case things went wrong.

"Watch out shes gonna bloooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!" He roared again, legs pumping as hard as they could to carry him in the opposite direction of the blast. The timers counted down just as he reached the corner.

BOOOOM!

An ominous roar of fire and shrapnel engulfed the hall as the charges blew. Smoke blossomed with scarlet flame like a deadly lotus, spreading wide and he crouched down, ears ringing and teeth rattling. Hopefully the door would be open by now. Not really bothering to look, drunk as he was Colap charged back around the corner and shouted his battle cry.

"Ticons for lyfe fools!"

His arm came up as he cut through the smoke, and he prepared to launch a special surprise into the fray, so long as the charges had done their job.

On the other side of the corridor, opposite Colap, Cryax was slicing into the blast door that was still shut. "Karking frell!" he cursed as Colap basically ruptured his eardrum through the commlink, which he jerked away from his ear. Then just as he finished code-breaking the blast door, there came an explosion which rocked the entire corridor. An entrance like that had the hallmark of a Ticon. The door that Cryax had hacked into opened with a hiss and he took cover in the hallway in case there was blaster fire coming from the other end. He held up a blue-skinned hand to his droids until he knew that no Ravens would be hit with friendly fire, then he signaled for them to move into the stretch of hallway between he and [member="Colap Ticon"], where [member="Keira Ticon"] and [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] fought, commanding the droids to shoot anything that wasn't Raven.

[member="Nei Laa"] [member="Asteria Starcatcher"] [member="Ice"]

The pressurized air that hissed out into the small corridor was an unexpected obstacle, but one that Keira dealt with all the same, not letting it unbalance her for more than a fraction of a second. But that brief moment was enough for the next attack to come as more of a surprise than she would ever admit, though her lightsaber was brought up to deflect it all the same. Being on the defensive was an all but foreign concept to her, given the style of combat she typically preferred. Had this been any other situation it would have been her with the upper hand, easily maneuvering around the other woman with the acrobatics favored by most Ataru users.

Subtlety. A simple concept, but apparently hard for certain people to grasp, namely one [member="Colap Ticon"]. But his entrance into things, particularly the explosion that caused her to lose her footing, was a welcome one, supposing it distracted [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] for a time as well. A simple distraction was all that she could ask for at the moment. So when [member="Cryax Bane"] entered the fray from the opposite end, it was all she could do to not unceremoniously duck out of combat and escape. No, this would be an enemy that would require more care, even a touch of finesse, to subjugate for the time being. However easy it would have been for her to take the opportunity and leave along with the rest of the Ravens, things weren't nearly that simple. Not with an opponent such as this.

Instead she braced herself before heading an attack once again, putting marginally more strength behind her swings in hopes to off-balance her adversary, even if her strength wasn't nearly up to par. Provided that was successful, and even if it wasn't, she would reach out with the Force to hopefully throw Anja against the wall, temporarily stunning her. In that same moment she would edge backwards towards Cryax, blade still held in guard across her body, always anticipating another strike. Glancing to him, or rather, where she sensed him to be in the dim light, she would speak quietly, "Let's go."

[member="Asteria Starcatcher"], [member="Nei Laa"], [member="Catalys Maijora"], [member="Ice"]

The sudden blast of smoke and fire from the initial explosion was beginning to clear. The commandos approached Colap from behind and the few Sephi soldiers chasing Cryax came around the corner as well. Anja was caught in the middle of it; her duel with Keira was interrupted and if things couldn't have gotten worse this was a standoff and every side was threatened. The Host Lord was in no mood to be expected in a position that she knew they thought they were in. The rush of adrenaline pumped through her veins and the experience of battle and death she's faced before rushed in her memories like ice water cooling off the fire as she drew upon the wild untamed nature swirling inside her. The very darkness she had felt continually grow inside her and emulated what she felt inside Keira the moment she pushed her with that foul power. Inside her very being the nature of all her experiences, memories, pain, joy, pleasure, and the consistent existence of her emotions pooled back into an epicenter and compressed itself deep inside her heart. Her stomach hollowed at the feeling and sound, touch, every sense momentarily drowned under the intensity and pressure of her manifestation in the force. It clawed at her inside like an animal trying to escape the confines of its cage, it screamed like a widow who witnessed her lover's execution, and he roared in rage and fury like rancor leading its kin against the hunter. The deviant, gnarled, terror etched itself in her eyes as she fixed it on those who surrounded her and gazed her pale-blue Umbaran eyes, imposing her very will and reached out with her offhand, the epicenter of manifested power curling its tendrils around her finger tips as a mass of energy -- exhausting her visibly -- amassed in front of her and at a thought, a single will wished the power flowed out in a shockwave of force energy imbued by rage and disorder.

The energy tore up the foundation of the very corridor. Sheet metal, plate, grates, piping, electrical, lights: Everything was torn asunder as if an invisible plow rampaged through the hall; the shockwave burst out from the initial blast and some of it even reflected back to herself, sending a sharp pain into her bones and leaving her exhausted; in the moment of impact she used to rush out of there, leaving her Vibroblade behind and towards the commandos who too felt the same shock. Her vision blurred as she made way; followed by an officer who had approached to save her at a moments notice. "Your Worship.", he said in an onlook of awe and worriment. Anja simply glared at him as if to say that she did not need his support and the Umbaran man understood perfectly, leaving his thoughts to himself. Anja collapsed at the side of the Corridor as more Sephi warriors and Umbaran guards began their approach. "Let them leave this place.", she wheezed heavily under the strain caused from the moment just earlier. She hadn't even really understood what happened only that she attempted to simply push them out of her way. The intoxication of it was remarkable, Anja felt pleased and hungry for it. She continued to speak, "Have the Carnage-class chase the ship out of this sector, but follow them. Have someone follow them... I want to find--", she had recalled that this Jedi -- who they seemed to know by their actions -- was caught with the Zeltron woman still in their captivity.

Anja thought hard on this and finished her sentence. "Find where they came from. Who they are. Bring me the Zeltron." Her final statement was met with a hoarse cough, as she began to slowly rise to feet once more and stumble down the hall. The remaining force intended to give them a show per their new orders.

Asteria let out a string of curse words in her native language when Ticon yelled into his headset, causing her to yank off her helmet, her (extra sensitive) ears ringing. She would punch that man the next time she got the chance.

Asteria, uncamoflaging with blaster ready, jumped out of the way of [member="Colap Ticon"] as he charged almost straight into her. For w moment she looked like a ghost, appearing from nowhere, which would probably surprise even [member="Cryax Bane"].

She started to advance when the rush of air caught her unprepared and made her stumble backwards. This lady, [member="Anja Aj'Rou"], was a tough one, but at least she knew that [member="Keira Ticon"] could handle herself, with or without backup. She kneeled down to catch her breath and was back up as soon as she heard the lady's retreating footsteps down the hall. She camouflaged and followed, picking up the lady's vibroblade as she passed it, she heard the last bit of her orders and more retreating footsteps.

Asteria stepped out, uncamoflaged, and called to the retreating form, in an insanely calm voice that would frighten the wits out of, most people "So, you want to know who we are, eh? Let me tell you something. I'm not the type of person you want to cross if you've hurt my friends. Beware the Insane Assassin." With that she turned around, and headed back towards the battle.
