Government: Planetary Democratic Meritocracy
Population: 1.3 mil.
Demonym: Dha'buiri

Major Imports: Colonization Supplies, Agriculture, Starship Components (for maintenance)
Major Exports: None (exportation is extremely limited and many materials highly taxed)

  • Material: Ionite
  • Amount: Trace - asteroid belt, Diminutive - planetary ring/second moon
    Small - Allows for unique items and cannot be mined for semi unique or above.

[*]Intent and Reasoning: No particular reason, but since it can't be acquired mining alone, the challenge would still have to be completed, so acquiring it here is like a double-challenge. This is only to lead to roleplay opportunities with others involving the system. I also determined it would be nice to have a ring around the planet, and the ring having ionite particles helps promote its isolationist status (as ionite screws with systems on ships).
Affiliation: Dha'dinui Conglomerate of Colonies (Official Meritocracy), Aliit Zyn'meshurok (late)

Major Locations: See Below

  • Force Nexus: Cabur Manda'kyramud Habitation Nexus
  • Size: Area
    Area - A small location on a world much like the dark grove or oasis that can be destroyed by people. May require a Dev thread.

[*]Intent: Ineffectual trace-nexus simply for historically explaining the origins of the Cabur Manda'kyramud species; cannot be used towards any substantial applications.
The Cabur Manda'kyramud nexus is a small Force-enriched location as deep as twenty five meters below a crystalline micro-lake which serves as the known hub of the Cabur Manda'kyramud species ecosystem. It is believed to be a large part of the creatures' development and evolution, though it has not been thoroughly studied as it lies in the heart of Cabur territory. For reasons not fully understood, it is in fact quite difficult to pinpoint in the Force as local anomalies disturb its presence like electromagnetism to a compass. This "Bermuda Triangle" of Force sensitives of Dha'dinui helps preserve the Caburs' isolation, but it also means the most mastered Jedi councilor or Darth may get lost in the woods and steppes home to a creature unwelcoming of uninvited guests.

==========
Name: Dha'danui City

The largest of three colonies seated across the planet, DC is located just above the equator on an island-continent which has been mostly appropriated for humanoid habitation. The colony itself is still quite small on the galactic city scale, roughly the size of real-world Manhattan with suburban and rural areas reaching out to the size of a full city. There are several resorts along the coastlines, but the heart has only handfuls of towers and skyscrapers with the rest of the structures being modern colonial and Mandalorian-inspired architecture.

==========
Name: Kih Meshurok'laar

Literally Little Crystalsong in transliteration. It is a colony formed over a decade for the Zyn'meshurok clan, once known as the Xyhn tribe from Crystalsong on the other side of the galaxy, many of whom migrated to Mandalorian territories to join the clans in brotherhood. It is very small and tranquil, surrounded by woods on three sides and littered with structures made from imported Crystalsong crystalline. What makes it unique is that a handful of Narran may be seen flying about from time to time, surveying the land.

==========
Name: Dha'danui Galactic Starport

Not much else can be said about DGS except that it feels like an airport... a very large one at that, and is based mostly on the ground. It exists on the fringe of the antarctic land mass, to keep ship disturbances and emissions away from the planet's frail ecological balance but also because approaching from a more equatorial vector can cause failures of entire ships due to its ferro-ionite ring, condemning them to the planet's gravity where they will linger forever or eventually crash on the surface. It contains minor planetary defenses of Mandalorian design to prevent ships from illegally entering this policed zone, so there has only been one incident in almost three thousand years of a ship rendered dead and being pulled into the planet which had to be destroyed before it crashed, letting the remainder of parts burn up in the atmosphere. DGS port itself was not designed to harbor very large warships or bulk freighters in its dry docks, so the largest safe limit of ship dimension was decided on eight hundred meters; anything larger either could not dock, or would have to shuttle down from orbital locations.

Culture: The inhabitants of Dha'dinui are mostly of Mandalorian origin and of colonial descent. Culture there is largely based on Mandalorian culture, with virtually no recognizable differences aside from the planetary-based meritocratic system of government that maintains the few colony-cities the world has. The populous is generally more welcoming of outside races than the Mandalorian core natives, but overall less accepting of outsiders due to the planet's isolationist state. Its temperate oceanic locations are prized as prime resort and homefront locations, thus housing can commonly be seen along coastal regions, though acquiring such properties comes only at the approval of the embodying government, in order to keep the world from being overrun by foreigners. As Dha'dinui maintains a relatively fine ecosystem, there are strict laws and permits regarding the importation and ownership of many pets, livestock and resources. The sense of protection over the natural world's state has harbored a smaller subculture of Light Side shamanism.

Technology: Technology is standard for a lightly colonized planet well into its colonization, which includes three cities - one semi-major - as the main colony sites. The rest of the world is kept natural due to its fine and delicate ecological balance. There is only one major starport, located on the surface towards the southern pole where ecological disturbance is bare minimum, and it can only accommodate ships up to 800 meters in size securely. Travel from/to Dha'dinui must be executed from polar approaches due to the trace ionite particles found in its ring, a far distance in orbit around the planet, theorized to be caused by the two moons rolling against one-another long ago before settling into their prospective orbits.
History: Dha'dinui was discovered and charted roughly 3,000 years prior to the Gulag Plague epidemic. It remained unexplored for another three centuries before finally being studied, though the planet itself hadn't been colonized for at least a millennium due to the lack of planetary-based resources of distinct value. Over centuries, small technological cities formed in the key locations of colonization, and a centralized planetary government was erected by a council of the three major colonies. The entity became known from that point on as the DCC or Dha'dinui Conglomerate of Colonies (sometimes referred to as the Dha'dinui Council of Colonies). The system continued to be mostly aligned with the Mandalorians, though to all else it had been restrictive.

Notable PCs: To Be Determined
Intent: I wanted to make a new species that was original, in a setting that was very distinct, and that has lead me to the need to create a system/planet that accommodates that species and environment.

Interesting planet!

I will be checking in on the Ionite. As of now I do not see an issue here with the limited amounts but the Codex Admin will have final say.

Other than the nexus that you describe, you have listed no other key locations yet you have mentioned there are three major colonies. For posterity, because if I was going to RP on this planet I would want to know, please list out the colonies and the starport, and describe them in the Major Locations section. They don't need long descriptions, but a name and some general info relevant to the culture would be nice.

You also have not described the nexus itself, you have only provided the copied material from the original template. Please describe the nexus location in more detail as this will determine whether or not I deem it necessary for a dev thread.

This looks acceptable.

While normally I would simply approve this I'm going to pass it on for secondary to [member="Valiens Nantaris"] due to the restricted material.

I do not personally think you need a dev thread for the force nexus or the RM due to the limited uses/effects of both, but he may.
