The Mentor
"You're not in it now. You're with me. You'll be safe with me" Josh reassured her softly. He didn't know how else to help. She had left him with very few options, very few ideas. What he had thrown did not seem to phase her. He wanted to help, he knew that. But how? He wasn't sure. He wanted to see her smile, how did he do that? He didn't know. He wanted to see her laugh, how did he do that? He didn't know. What he did know was that he could at least reassure her that she didn't have to be alone. That he wasn't abandoning her. That she had someone.
He just wished he could do more.
But he didn't know how.
Being a Master didn't mean you knew everything. On the contrary... Being a Master meant you were skilled but still had much to learn.
